Agreed. However, after a while it did get monotonous. We need an elk reading the newspaper, or a wolf calling his bookie to liven things up around here.
Someone should get these trail cam videos into our nursing/senior homes. They can be watched and re-watched and still be exciting for folks who can do very little.

You're not supposed to get close to them, but the one time I was on a canoe trip in Algonquin just me and my dad, and we were paddling through a lake that narrowed into a marsh and then a stream. There was only one way to go, and there was a moose floating in the water, just munching on the lilies or whatever. We had to paddle right by it, got within three feet of it. Can't describe how incredible that felt. Happened circa 15 years ago, and I still remember it like yesterday. Same trip, we had otters follow alongside our canoe through one of the streams. Algonquin is something else.

Now that I've seen two separate wildcats do the same thing in two people's videos it confirms things about their intelligence, curiosity and observational skills as opposed to other wildlife..
Carissa Conti I think it speaks to their sense of sight and hearing. I thought maybe it was the sense of smell that made him check it out. But upon further research it was probably a mechanical noise of a glare of the Lens that made him check it out.

Interesting how none of the animals really encounter each other at the same time but go by the same path many times
