Great video! If my cpu only has 6 cores and 12 Logical processors how much should I dedicate to the stream in place of your 8? Would I use 6 since that is half of the LPs?

I tried this and the stream looked nicer, i played some XDefiant but still i had some pixelization. all i want is to reduce pixelization when moving in games to minimum.

What's your CPU/GPU? Pixelation may have been caused by encoding overload? Try doing rc-lookahead=60 instead of 50..

@@UnfilteredBits CPU is the same AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core, my GPU is AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT. also i play on 1440p but downscale it to 1080p 60f. and i am with two monitors and i just open twitch to look on my second and i noticed although quality was better some pixelation was obvious... gonna keep messing with the settings.

so instead of using the gpu for the enconder you are using the processor?

That's very right! Its very situational but most people with at least a ryzen 3600 or equivalent can pull this off. Also depends on the game they prioritize.

nothing works dude :( shity pixels no matter reso/bitrate/fps i try. meh

Honestly it was still x264 that’s better; compared to the amd h264. So I guess we can just deal with that, unless you want to buy a dedicated nvidia gpu (thats low end but can encode much better than amd)

yeah AMD has issues with their hardware encoder. I thought they improved it?

h265 on them is pretty good, h264 is still not on par as what I was used to when I was still on team green

The Amd 7000 Series gpu's have the av1 encoders which you can use to live stream on youtube.

Yup as explained on the video, if your streaming platform of choice accepts h265 and av1 then this video aint for you.

Some of the info in this video is stupid or you're unaware of things. Just because you can push more than 8k bitrate on Twitch doesn't mean you should. Twitch has an absolute cap on 8k and once they find out your stream is pushing out more, you will be throttled hard and punished for it. Also, have you tried 8k bitrate on an AMD gpu? Try it out, it works.

I think you're outdated. You can watch the videos I mentioned in this video. My streams never get throttled or bitrate dropped. I have tried 8k bitrate AMD HW, but it does not change the fact that x264 give me more consistent / less pixelated streams. Watch the full video :)
edit: I currently use 8500bitrate with veryfast x264 preset [rc-lookahead=60 trellis=1 direct-pred=spatial], Still gives me better quality than of AMD HW, even better with graphics intensive games.
