Talk about value for money. This video is worth paying for. The information and knowledge you impart is tremendous, and I soak it all up. I’m not sure if you have done a video like this, but I would love to see one where you explain how to tell the vintage bottles of your fragrances. You wouldn’t need to say anything about the scent, just what to look for to tell if it is a vintage. This type of video would be my reference guide for future vintage purchases. Thanks for all of the hard work you put in to bring us this great content. I, and undoubtedly countless others, greatly appreciate it!!!

I very much want to thank you for this list….such a dearth of valuable information. Lagerfeld has been in my life for so long…but in a peculiar way…I’ve never actually owned it. When I was younger: during the eighties, I wanted something nobody else had,(which was korous for me) but lagerfeld is a scent that I always sprayed on every time I passed it in a department store. It just smelled so pleasant and warming. That habit went on for 20 years. I think it’s finally time I purchase a bottle.

After watching so many reviews BASHING og Encre Noire, I became intrigued and tentatively purchased it. I LOVED IT! Plus, I got so many compliments at work (In the middle of summer mind you) I had to pick up a back-up. Truley rivals any niche frag imo. Goes to show how devisive frags can sometimes be allstars.. Excellent content btw Ramsey.. I stayed and watched till the end and, as always, learned a bunch.. hats off to ya sir😊! Ty

So glad you mentioned Lagerfeld classic. I owned this when i was a teenager,,, everyone was out at the club wearing CK Obsession and I was wearing this smelling like the man amongst the boys,, fantastic fragrance, it is my number 1. To this day I wear it in the winter and people still comment positively and ask what I am wearing, one of the best, heaven knows what a modern day version from a niche house would cost. 😁

It is so unbelievable... especially the vintage ... the vintage really smells like a vintage masculin but blended with that orangey ambery profile.. 🤤
John Varvatos is so underrated. I worked at a country club as a young 20 something and the smell very much reminds me of the men’s cigar room. They had bowls of herbal oils in the room and every time I smell JV I’m taken back there.
If you dont mind re-applying John Varvatos frags are fantastic & very enjoyable🤌🤌🤌

After seeing this a few weeks back I revisited Lagerfeld Classic having not smelling it since HS thirty years ago. I must say it does not disappoint and evokes all the same memories of back then. Even better is I can now appreciate just how much of a masterpiece it is from open-mid-dry. The sillage is heavenly and I think it's a highly slept on. I also happened to sniff my bottle of YSL Tuxedo and think that it was influenced by LC in a major way. I'd love to hear your thoughts if you have Tux or have ever smelled it. Thanks so much for what you do.
I love Lagerfeld Cologne but I am not a fan of Tuxedo ... I will review them both on the channel soon
I think we've got fairly similar tastes. Qaa'ed, Oscar Pour Lui, Visit, Windsor, Legasi, Bentley Intense, Lapidus, Grey Flannel, The Dreamer, each have a special place in my heart (especially the first two-three). (I've got Shock and Zino too, but they didn't quite live up to the hype for me.) I've had decants of Jaipur, Sex Appeal, and Encre Noire Extreme, and hope to eventually pick up their bottles. The Bogart, Lagerfeld, and Giorgio Beverly Hills are all on my hitlist. I tend to agree with your tastes in non-cheapies too (even if they aren't within budget for me to acquire). It's helpful to see such overlap in tastes, since it allows me to place greater stock in your recommendations.
Good to hear it my friend... i did the same thing years ago when I was starting out ... made my masterlist and waited and I can be a patient man but I can also be stubborn and when the price wasnt right I waited and waited until I got the deal I wanted ... I also knew if something popped up from my "immediate buy list" i snatched it up right away as I already did my research & was prepared.. thanks so much for watching & commenting 😊
@@RamseytheRam It's actually quite fortunate that two of the fragrance types I'm most drawn to are classic 70'a/80's powerhouses and Middle Eastern fragrances. Not only do both these types tend to be more complex and distinctive than their mainstream contemporary counterparts--they also consistently represent some of the greatest cost/value propositions in the whole fragrance game.

Lots of frags are cheepie price wise but smell amazing 😊
I absolutely just love Kenneth Cole's Black, especially in the Lancaster bottle. Every time I wear it I think to myself I could wear this everyday and never get tired of it.
I have never smelled the Lancaster bottle but this parlux version for a cheepie isnt bad 🙂

For a young man looking for a modern take on Platinum Egoiste, Legesi is about as good as it gets. It's funny, I immediately loved it, but the more I wore it, the more I got the lavender from Drakkar Noir. Especially the day after on clothing. Like a mish mash of a few classics made into a shower gel. Definitely in the same family as Bowling Green. Massive thumbs up for Bogart Signature, Open Black, Bentley FMA and Jaipur too. And of course Boss had to be number 1. 😄 Of course.

I only spray my skin (no clothes) but I totally know what you mean... legesi does have that vintage 80s Lavender vibe... but its really good for a "clone" house.... you should try this Niche - oud from Armaf & let me know if I am insane or if it is really good for an Armaf fragrance 😬
Thank you very much for compiling this list! I have so far purchased 13 fragrances from this list (a couple of which I had already owned ) and love all of them except for 1 (I couldn't connect with Salvador Dali). Today my scent of the day was Lagerfeld Classic which I recieved in the mail this week. I lucked out and got the Interparfumes version (5 oz. for $21) even though I wasn't trying to get any specific formulation. I'm loving Oscar Pour Lui and Jaipur EDP as well as the others. Great info and I will check out some more from this list. Would have never known about them if it wasn't for this video. Thanks again!

I did try the vintage Dana Tabu. And wow. Quite good. Just need to try Bel A Versaille and see how Tabu compares.
I buy Hanae Mori HM edt about 3 years ago when it was still available for buyind.For my luck i bought a 100 ML bottle.All i can say is that I love it,it's a gorgeous fragnance for spring and summer!
I have the EDP and it feels a little thick and heavy on me... maybe the EDT suits the fragrance better... thanks for watching mate 🍻

I have almost half of your recommend'n. Zino, Jaipur & 1881 Cerruti, Giorgio Bev Hill for man are the greatest. Wonder if u agree, Cerruti Image for man, Tabac, PS Fine Paul Sebastian, Yatagan Coron are very under-rated gems often omitted?
Believe it or not I have never smelled Cerruti Image... it's on the never ending "to sniff list" 🐽

Awesome list. Givenchy Gentleman is tremendous, I only have the current but still love it. Actually have a Salvador Dali on the way and it has the gold border according to the sellers photos.

A comparison between Bentley and Gucci pour homme I would be awesome. Bentley seems a diluted version of Gucci (haven’t smelled it for 20 years). Don’t know if Papyrus Oud 51 is better than Bentley. Thanks for this list.

I have a different take on this. Because of inflation, and consumers need to use the cards more,'
sellers might be willing to let some of their assets go for a better cost to buyers.
The Enigma by Pierre Gardin makes me think of Pink Floyds The Divison Bell cover.
Roger&Gallet Open is very good for the cost. I picked mone up for 17. Fragnet
Aubusson Homme EDT. Will bookmark it. Seen it on Mecari .

It really made me realize how many I have in my collection doing this video... and I left out things like 50ml Aigner Explosive which is ~ 40 bucks, preferred stock which is 50ml for ~25 bucks and Stetson for ~ 25bucks for 50ml!

Hey Ramsey, I know you did a video on the House of Dior but did you do a video on Eua Savage 2008 version? The reason I'm asking is I think I bought a fake off of ebay because it smells like lemon soap.
Well the EDT of Eau Sauvage does have this lemon citrus heavy smell .... totally different than Eau Sauvage Parfum from 2012 & 2017
@Ramsey , it wasn't sealed but had a batch code of 8F01 which I looked up and is correct. I mean he did refund my money and hasn't asked for the bottle back yet. I just thought this is Dior and it smells like Lemon Pledge, I had to get really close to the back of my hand to smell it.

When i first found your channel i wondered why this guy has so few subscribers when you putt such an effort and knowledge on your videos?! But after i watched a couple of them now i know why...
Fist of all your videos are way too long and messy and second and most important people can't relate with you because your most recommendations are always about discontinued or vintage bottles, and that makes your opinion interesting but pretty useless.
You can't compete with other Perfume-Tubers like Sebastian (The Perfume Guy) who's work is up to date and the quality of his content is high end and fresh (camera,sound, videos sectioned and time stamped for each perfume separately).
Fragheads need collector's opinion on fragrances that they can reach (money and availability wise), not to tell them about perfumes where only you have and if they ever found them they'll need a fortune to get them with a high probability that they will receive expired/turned ones.
