My definitive playthough of the StarCraft 2 Campaign Collection trilogy and Nova mission pack. Each mission video will be a walkthrough explaining and executing strategies to succeed and obtain most achievements on Brutal difficulty. All dialogues, cinematics, and story-related material will be at the end of each video.
In some cases I omit completing Mastery achievements that would require a separate playthrough detracting from a full showcase of the mission in question.
Achievements completed this video:
Stalker Delight - Complete the Whispers of Doom mission on Normal difficulty with 3 or more Stalkers.
Merely a Flesh Wound - Complete the Whispers of Doom mission on Hard difficulty without Zeratul suffering life damage.
Karass is supposed to be a legendary master of psionic energies, but this is literally the only time he is ever seen or mentioned in any Starcraft material
Rest in peace High Templar Karass, possibly the greatest 1 mission character in Starcraft history. A true hero!

Fun fact: if you blink only Zeratul over to the third hatchery and position your stalkers to the northeast/east of the hatchery, a stalker can hit it with impunity. You just need Zeratul to provide vision.
_Has_ anyone ever picked the Predator? Even without knowing its weak integrity, they don't cover any role that firebats, hellions and several other units don't already do better.

I picked random seeing no real use in either one.
i got predators cuz i love dogs, but when i made them they proved useful in char defending against the queen of blades and saving warfield
zeratul is my favorite terran unit
Jay I know you said you'll need Vikings for the Supernova mission but what if you do the Wraith mission and substitute the Wraiths for Vikings in Supernova? That way you can keep Dr. Hanson on board all the way up to the Battlecruiser mission. I know the Wraiths are expensive and fragile and not as effective but this isn't a perfect run so why not? Lol
... attacks ground and air and cloak. I can see why it's expensive.
I always void stasis Kerrigan just buy myself a little extra time.
Looks like you could attack the hatchery at your position at 27:36 with Stalkers if you could provide vision with Zeratul. Seems like well inside Stalker fire range.

Exactly this. Once I figured this trick out it went from the hardest Hatchery to the easiest.
Unfortunately I highly recommend doing all these in order immediately for the research benefits for the main missions :/
You can min/max that way, but I don’t find it necessary to complete anything

Amazing, I didn't realize it's possible to save all stalkers on brutal.
Jay Tassadar could have kill air units, but that was only in books.... :( That was after he learned some tricks from Zeratul and get both powers high and dark templars. i think he slashes guardian in the half.

FIIIIIIIIIIIIRST!!!! This mission was the laggiest of them all when I played. Zeratul the Cool Protoss is at it again
you say they were planning to do Zeratul extra mission for each race run... well the prologue in LotV would count but no HotS one
If there ever was a scrapped mini campaign in HotS it was probably supposed to be a Zeratul mini campaign on Zerus before he contacted Kerrigan about the Primal Zerg.
You can cheese the final hatchery this mission if you leave the void stalkers on the low ground.
The correct title is Whispers of *Doom,* not Whispers of Oblivion.

Some of the buildup was fun, so it's a shame what finally ended up coming out of this particular plot thread.
Is it not possible in the herc to put sieged siege tanks and do it like svann in coop?
Not possible. That mechanic was added and removed in LotV

I still can't get over how they killed off Zeratul in such an anticlimactic way. :^(
Anticlimactic? The Zeratul/Artanis fight was one of the most intense and badass moments of all SC2, in my opinion.
Anti-climatic? Honestly to me that is one of the most great moments in all of SC2. Great cinematic. I mean, he could have died like Fenix in BW, that would have been truly anti-climatic.
Seeing this again just serves as a reminder as to how god-awful the Protoss music was back in the Wings of Liberty days. Good lord it's depressing.
I like it for that. Really just for music and the feeling it adds to protoss LotV and WoL ones feel like they are in no way related.
Gosh zeratul is decent. But witch doctor guy. I respect tarren but sometimes Alain elves just make more nature seance.
