Left Right - A Film About Turning

- Join the Nidecker team on a search for the perfect turn. From the High Alps of Europe to the bottomless pow of Japan, there are endless ways to ride a mountain, and many strands to snowboarding culture. Narrated by Mike Basich, this award-winning film seeks to find a common thread. Because when you boil it down - behind all the laps, the airtime, the spray - all snowboarding is... is left and right.

0.31 « It all starts with a turn, its the first thing we learn its the last thing we master» 😍😍😍 THIS IS EVERYTHING 😍👏🔥🙌
Congratulations to Samuel McMahon and Nidecker for this wonderful movie. You have not only uncovered the magic of turning, but also explained the magic of snowboarding like no one has done before. And thanks for your participation in our festival.
Such a relatable watchable video, loved it!
This is the kind of thing that just makes me want to go ride all day
The slo-mos 🤘🏼
My favourite board is the neon yellow liberty! carves like a dream and is great in the deep stuff as well!
Favorite moment: 4:50 “Do a backside wabam… then do a fucking baboof”😂 @maclofquist
I just want to go home, grab my Area and go carving...!... This movie is just beautiful on every possible angle, kudos
The best part of the video is Seb and John synchro moments! From 2:25! This part is the quintessence of having fun snowboarding and carving. It hypes up the energy enormously!
@instwr
This is the best snowboard edit I’ve seen in several years. Hats off to the editors and filmers
The view from the top after the long way up before the real fun part starts😍😍 damn!
The drone photography in the high peaks is absolutely amazing! @MAZZOLINIM
Great movie about left right or 右左 migihidari in Japanese. I love the explanation were you can feel the passion for snowboarding out of it.
Just landed in Japan and on my way to Niseko for the season.
So much powww !! 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻
❤ 9.56 Seb Konijnenberg steep run
My favorite part is the freeride section, those are some scary-looking lines that pump my blood while watching and I loved Emilien talking about flow, that's what I'm always chasing while snowboarding @scvnr1
Great watch
I still have my late 90s Nidecker Babs
Most excellent. MBHC
experts for sure. amazing control and feel of the ride........ it flows.
What an amazing video 🥰
AWESOME MOVIE 🫶🤍🏂 Well done 👏🏽
0.31 is my favorite part of where it all begins 😍
Snowboarding is Great!
It's means a lot for the entire Vitelli turn genera tion. Thanks for your support during my young age with sportpulsion France and keep the perfect turn search the reason of our living 😍 @moshtattooer ✌️✌️✌️
The overall quality of this film is impressive, from the beauty of the images to the curated soundtrack, passing through the passion that emerges from the riders' speeches. Kaori is truly amazing!
The part that perhaps impressed me the most was the fantastic FPV drone footage in the "Freeride" chapter.
@le_thomas
@qg1224 17:15 ofc the deep deep powder moments. However I like how you guys included the ground tricks We don’t see lots of these on the western side of snowboard world. Next time add some park edits would be perfect. snowboarding it’s all these and whatever make you feel happy, as long as we keep shredding. ❤❤❤
Great film. Especially love the Japan freestyle and carving part. -Phil_ksl
Freeriding and those powder turns in the end. Love it!! Can't wait to get in the mountains this season. @emilravila
@bodiemovin. My favourite part is the Japan section - it looks so much fun!
The powder chapter was awesome...
Sebby and john’s part 🔥
What a video
Can’t wait to try one of your board
Love the old school vibes and the euro carvs @kchiappa
For real absolutely love this video
PS, the drone photography in the high peaks is absolutely amazing!
This Video just made me a Nidecker fan without even riding one of your boards. I've been riding for years and within the last 5, have gotten heavy into freeride and other aspects of snowboarding and I have been interested in your boards. I'm gonna have to Demo a board but woah did this video have me feeling the vibes for sure! Started snowboarding in 96 and it literally changed my life as a 16yo f-up to watching every video I could and wanting to be a "real snowboarer". Driving to Colorado every chance I could get. Now I live here and appreciate the sport and how it changed me. Looking forward to getting on a Nidecker and seeing if I can find one I like!
Amazing film from beginning to end! I love the Japanese girl describing the perfect turn: “perfect turn, heel side toe side, perfect balance” 😎🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Soundtrack is sick!! @keepontravelling17
Love this! awesome snowboard movie! can't wait to get out and board this winter!
This is so sick
Got the stoke, got the feels ❤
8:47 soooo nice turns on the Good old marokka Peak ❤
Masterful filming in this!
Love the freeride part 🤘
7:11 💥💥 loving the Freeride edits! @mof92
Bro, that nose slash spin @11:11 is prime.
Such a great film. Congrats guys, it's been on repeat play this morning.
Good shit🔥
Backside wabam to an f’in baboof. Epic stuff! @captmangeldangle
As a skier I generally don't watch planker films. Samuel, wow, well done. Highest praises. So well done I shared it with my crew. Boom
Shun Yamamoto doing flat vitelli's at 11:40 is absolutely lit! @latifoglieciniche
Japan part was mental
@2:38 that just made my bucket list! So fucking clean!
@Paulvealsreal
Loved how everyone is just having fun the moment, doesn't matter where a turn takes you as long as you are going forwards (unless switch... ;-) )
18.40 crazy spray
Fav movie is wolf of wall street
Awesome film and very well produced TWN! Wish I was able to get out this year, but am coming to Coinsins for Christmas, so might be able to sneak out for a cheeky few runs in the Jura if you are around. Hope you guys are well. Love the look of the Escape 169XW too! Pretty sure it would solve all my toe drag issues and go with my Flow NX2 Carbon bindings!
🙌🙌🙌
Fs nose butter by seb was perfect
18:40 insane spray 😮
WOW this is beautiful, super well made! Insane!
@allan9295 some epic mountains but that 50/50 across your mates board is mega
Cinematic masterpiece, I love the dude explaining how high gloves got hot from going so fast on the snow! Beautiful scenes, and landscapes
@gracebabinn
11:23 is my favorite part of the video.. Tricks and carving on the snow while maintaining high speed! 🤩
Awesome movie!! Another example of the versatility of Nidecker snowboards. my preferred part of the movie is the backcountry @sfo972
Favorite moment comes at 4:52 - you have to see it to believe it
@gooskah 1:45 was my fav moment cause I crashed exactly the same way just yesterday 😂
10:03 this shot of the vast mountain and one person shredding it is absolutely beautiful
@kolbygooder
18:44 is favorite moment for me. It's such intense powder turn between tight trees, wow. @sertcercn
14:05 : the best turn is the one you're the most proud of and the one you lived the most intensly 💥
great video, bought the Gamma APX but haven´t it ridden yet
Great things on your horizon then 🤙
"fuck its steep, eh" @dsowdy
snowboards turn...who knew?
Those absolute flat turns, oh my! Definitely want to try that out on a new Nidecker board ❤. @larsiemede
11:00 and onwards… it’s like a dance on board, amazing! 🤩
@ihorprotsiv
The pow turns and freeriding, best moment
@isohimovic
near death experience 4.22
If we can’t turn, we’re all fucked
kaori terabayashi 13:54 heelside turns are the best moments for me @robesquires
@masonbreken
The carving at 11:45 is my favorite part of this film. Though it's simple the technique and skill that all these riders have is just imaculate. It's so flowy and gives a sense of freedom and life that you can't get anywhere else besides on a board going down the slope. No matter the skill level beginner or professional snowboarding is an amazing sport
Holy crap this one looks cool. Is it also underneath Hermosa??
@kalvinbookersnow 13:57 kaori critiquing her turn trace
The deep pow is always great for fun turns @tronblackmore
Really impressed by this steep mountain at 9:11 😮 But all this movie is really well made! Good job
@li_lbil
Definitely my favourite parts around 18:17 when the deep powder from Japan turns on... I am just one day before my full season snowboard trip to Japan, cant be more excited with these beutiful shots:)
@ttaszi
What its all about...
Why did they make an entire video doing turning leaf
10:47 Shuta Takamatsu comes sick 🤢 🙇🏽with it ‼️wish I had his style down !
🔥👹I was the 666th like!👹🔥
3:26 such a satisfying follow cam 🙌 really love this film great job guys
@helmetcam99
18:18 - I’d take a facial from SuperRad any day
Yeh respect to the riders and all but I’d rather see a styled out quad cork (imo 🤷♂️)
Left Right
Left Right
Reverse
Repeat
I'm about to see how a Beta APX should be ridden. Definitely not like me 🙄
A film about giving up.
A Bombhole fan?
@@Drift-Products lol Nice someone got the reference!
More like a film about not wearing a proper protective gear. Not a single helmet besides few freeride shots...
Mmmmm... Nothing special. Ndk is my fav decks but nothing special in this video) i very like commercials about biomimicry series.
11:01-11:32 my fav because of the spinning with the carves. Such board control. Also the eurocarve at the end of that part😍
@_thymas_
14:55 as I can identify with Kaori’s style of freedom, vroom vroom 🏎️
@aanorx
The part that impressed me the most was the fantastic FPV drone footage in the "Freeride" chapter. @lisacpaterson
Shuta Takamatsu (10:47-11:30) no big air or tricks just how he’s fun spinning and jumping, making it look effortless down an ordinary groomed piste ❤️❤️❤️
@james_hammy
So good guys! I love the intro quote about how a turn is the first thing we learn and the last we master 🔥 also love the amount of smiling people all throughout. Got me hyped.
Thanks for this one legends!
