Oh, Sarah of the Millican, you are always a delight and always make me chuckle. You are one of the few that can actually make me laugh out loud. I have to be careful not to be eating or drinking anything while listening to you so I don't choke or have liquids head in unfortunate directions. I once laughed while drinking gatorade. I was doing field work for my Master's thesis and a fella I very much fancied had come along to help me. We were in a fairly remote area of Yellowstone National Park and had a five-minute dash to my car to shelter from a lighting storm. I had just started to take a swig of lemon-lime gatorade, when he said something hilarious (which was why I fancied him), I choked and bright yellow gatorade shot out my nose, hitting that dashboard of the car (head tilted back laughing uncontrollably). "Well that ought to impress him." I guess it did. We dated for a while, but weren't the "forever" fit, so we were best of friends for a very long time.
I cooked damsons once for a crumble - I tried to de-stone them first and my kitchen was like there had been a massacre in it!! Lunch today soup and crudites! Love you Sarah you always cheer me up! xxx
We are lucky enough to have two plum trees in our garden. Victoria plums are gloriously sweet and are eaten straight off the tree. Damsons are normally turned into a crumble or cobbler

Hello lovely Sarah. We re doing a new eating habit in our house to take on board some yogi wisdom. So we eat a brunch and eve meal. I get to have a feast not kkng after i get up so today i had some home made biriani (bbc good food recipe) plain yoghurt and a banana and it was 'champion!'. Xx love the daily entertainment. :)
Hello from Modesto, Ca. This was our morning to grocery shop before Sheltering in place. For the rest of the week. For a treat/ lunch we had scones(that looked like huge snowballs) with coffee mocha a nd a blended cold coffee mocha with lots of chocolate Syrup. I kept my gloves on so I didn’t swipe the chocolate from the inside of the container. Love your daily reading . Stay safe.
Lunch is a highlight of quarantine here...fresh baked bread, good butter, bit of cheese & salami, pickles, and whatever fruit is on hand. Indoor picnic lunch!
This may be my favorite episode (so far) - the part about country living is spot-on! I will have to go back and watch them all in sequence to be sure. Anyway, lunch will be nothing (I work in a medical facility, and food is contextually repugnant when I am here). It is certainly uplifting to get a chuckle on my break from watching these posts - thank you).
I'm eating shepherd's pie (leftovers from dinner last night) for lunch today. I actually eat my lunch while watching your video every day now! It's become a lovely routine
I'll probably have a bowl of stuff too - leftover roast potatoes, maybe a tin of tuna or a boiled egg, with salad greens from my garden. As a kid and teenager, I never thought I'd have anything other than a herb garden, but since I moved in with my husband, and found that he was quite happy with me taking control of the garden (as long as I consult him on the important bits and put in a lemon tree for him), my garden has been my happy place. I can't afford to make big changes, but slowly I am building it up and will grow as much as I can - goodbye lawn! The weather here is seldom warm enough for sundresses and too windy for large hats, so when I pick my salad greens, I'm usually in old gardening pants (given to me by a male friend since they were too small for him, and I like them for their large pockets and sturdy canvas fabric) and old sneakers (with steel-capped toes, from when I worked as a cleaner in a winery). It's not glamorous at all, but I am amazed at the miracle of growing things from seeds too - how one tiny seed produces a big plant that then produces so many more seeds? Who needs religion when nature is this incredible?
Julie bloody Poppins?! 😆 isn't it Julie Andrews ~ Mary Poppins?! 😂 I'll choose to see that blunder as a comedically strategic mistake! 😘 Adore you so much Sarah, you are the star of my morning coffee time! Much love from Texas!
I had a full nothing. I haven't been eating well because now is a hard time for me, and this is the only thing I've had that makes me laugh. My husband puts it on for me to feel a bit better on honey days. You are the sweet babysitter I never had to read me stories, and thankfully it involves only a true retelling and not fairytale characters. I love the chatty parts, and the giggling, and the little bits of advice that make me feel like I'm doing alright.
@@alanjackson2712 Hello Alan 🙂👋. All is well, I hope all is well with you. I was late I didn't even notice the chat wasn't on today. Hopefully tomorrow.
I had my old favourite tuna spaghetti. Tins of tuna, garlic, mushrooms, peppers in a tomato sauce on spaghetti or some form of pasta. With some herbe cream cheese and croûtons on top. Followed by a coffee désert. Then coffee with a pièce of black chocolat with nuts in.
Lunch was a coffee and two large biscuits - double choc chip and cranberry/white chocolate. Not my usual fare. I listen to the latest episode upon waking in Melbourne, Australia. Loving it!

Tuna salad. I happen to love it. Birds are amazing here this spring. Along with the regular gang are bluebirds, indigo buntings, and a scarlet tanager. Lovely.🌸🌷🌸

I had food to go from a restaurant - Chicken Flautas - large Corn tortilla rolled up with a light layer of “Tinga” -chicken meat, hint of tomato, onion quarters spiced and stewed to tender morsels. Then the whole filled “flute” shaped thing is deep-fried. The special avocado salsa and crumble cheese comes with it. So delicious I ate 4 flautas and a bowl of fresh hot berries (I feel certain they were real raspberries and blackberries - lol) with honey. Flauta pronounced by restaurant staff sounds so much like when you call someone “flower” as an endearment. Just switch the sound of w for sound of t! TY for Story-time Spectacular 58 times!🎺🎺🎺

I am also having a bowl of things. Leftovers in a large bowl, Wild rice, Potatoes Stroganoff, Green beans. Brushed with half a tsp of butter and reheated in a metal bowl in the air fryer puts a little toasted crust on the edges.

Well Sarah, I essentially live on a housing estate, and (although at 3 different houses/flats) I have lived on it for 20 years now. Having been slaving away in the garden all morning, I decided to go with a Magnum (oh ok, two Magnums) found in the freezer. They belong to my flatmate (currently away) and are vegan; however, when you need an ice cream hit, they work a treat. I too am having salad "odds and sods" for tea, hence it being absolutely bloody reasonable to have two Magnums in one sitting... ;) x
Hi Sarah, thanks again for your time and laughter. I've just had my yellow chicken curry with noodles, from the paste I made myself. Nice and hot and very tasty.

I used to use Sharpies on nail clients nails once upon a time, it makes a great marble effect....now I can redeploy it to marking yummy things fir myself 😂😂 My husband or son may land up eating a treat named 'Wendy' out of the fridge or cupboard. Treats can have all the names they want, but will still get eaten if I'm not looking....sigh. Enjoy the rest of your day.
I'm so sick of my own cooking! Lunch was leftover mom-made garlic shrimp (prawns) and a leftover me-made baked (jacket) potato. Preceded by and followed with a brownie. Shhh... don't tell anyone I had dessert first. And last.🙄
It's only gone 11 am here so too early for lunch. How about a piece of cake and a brew for 11'sies? Birds are a great noise except the ones who have made a home on my bedroom window sill and start to chirp at 430 in the morning. Another cracking episode. Thanks.
Hi Sarah; Homemade Wholemeal bread, mature cheddar, beetroot and Heinz salad cream sandwich. This afternoons snack will be [looking forward to it] Homemade Banana Bread with Pear and Passionfruit.
I live in the countryside as well. I love the wide open spaces. My most loved signs of life here is the sound of life. You can hear crickets at night, the birds sing their sonorous songs every morning, and the air is different from the city. I do moan about how the long time residents have a very strong gossip chat going on, and when I was new to the neighbourhood, I was told I had nothing on anyone. I wasn’t trying to invade but certainly people saw me as a threat. I keep to myself and that’s just fine. I take good long walks with the dogs and enjoy the view of fields and wild nature surrounding the fields. I don’t mind the rats (they stay away) I do mind the spiders (they are MAHOOSIVE!). Hahaha
If all else fails, stick the Damsons in Gin with sugar, leave to sit for a while, and you have a fantastic drink, or something nice to give away as a present. Also, then with the fruit, make jam, but add in some cooking apple too to help it set. Strict Keto here as allergic to the cereal family, and I keep my sugar as low as possible, so I don't eat bread, but I just found a new recipe that is grain free, and it actually tastes like brown bread, so I had a cheese and piccalilli sandwich for lunch :)
I had cheese and crackers for lunch. The cheese was made from buffalo milk. It's good! Kind of like a blue cheese flavour. I made the mistake of melting the cheese onto the crackers in the microwave...my kitchen now smells like soggy feet.
Hi Sarah, another brilliant read. You won’t like what I had, weetabix with boiling hot milk and sugar, I could eat this for breakfast lunch or dinner, You and Gary stay safe xxxxxx

Mmm...ham and havarti on some excellent fresh baked bread I think, with passion fruit iced tea(sweetened of course)
Enjoy your cake treat :)
I have had rice noodles and have my eye on the last apple and blackcurrant pie 🤔
10am here, no breakfast or lunch yet...I had coffee with loads of creamer though.
Thanks Sarah 🌸 had a home made rib burger for lunch.
Hahha You made me laugh again! I had a simple sandwich with peanutbutter and imported salami from Denmark! Much love! xxx
My Husband makes Damson jam. Also he makes Damson Gin. I'd rather have a cuppa tea! X
Good Damson gin is nectar from the gods !

I'm so sick of my own cooking! Lunch was leftover mom-made garlic shrimp (prawns) and a leftover me-made baked (jacket) potato. Preceded by and followed with a brownie. Shhh... don't tell anyone I had dessert first. And last.🙄
Hurray for enjoying the endless wonders of nature!!! (Having oatmeal and sunflower seeds for brekkie in california) xo
no lunch today - no lunch yesterday - and no lunch tomorrow
Chocolate biscuits (2) and a cup of tea, yum 😋
I had a balogna and cheese sandwich with a TON of spicy mustard. Yum!
Lunch is basically breakfast for me now😂
I had 3 tacos at one of my favorite places. I'm so happy places are opening!
Left over BBQ ribs and rice. Then several new season Mandarin's, I think they are called clementines in the UK.
Please please please try making jam! It is easy AND satisfying (even if it ends up in a jar forgotten in the back of the fridge.)
Hahaha
Always make me smile , lunch crunchy nut cornflakes 😊. I have fibromyalgia and am in a flare at the moment so breakfast was eaten for lat lunch x
Chicken Kiev meatballs in swiss cheese sauce - left over from what I made last night - with a side of collard greens.
Crumpets with Vegemite and tomato
Well this is what I will have its morning in Australia love starting my day with story time on the train to work.
I have made some lovely veggie soup from veg getting a bit sad.
Stirfry chicken with noodles and rice - yum
A gooey grilled cheese sandwich with Heinz 57 sauce to dip it in.... so yummy!
Made Italian meatballs from scratch, SOOOOO good
Tomorrow is Pasta day for us!
Lunch was a bit of spaghetti bolognese with some broccoli salad. Had a couple of homemade palmiers afterwards 😊
LOVE THE HORN!!
Hi Sarah, another brilliant read. You won’t like what I had, weetabix with boiling hot milk and sugar, I could eat this for breakfast lunch or dinner, You and Gary stay safe xxxxxx
