This emulator mod causes Sonic the Hedgehog to get faster every time he collects a ring. This can make Sonic 2 easier in some zones and much harder in others.

Seeing Sonic CD like this would be awesome! It is a great game in general and I think you would enjoy it! Also it has different endings so having 2 videos about it would be awesome and the music is great. Keep up the good work!

I did notice that in chemical plant it seemed to take longer to speed up than a lot of the other worlds. Maybe they changed the time taken per level to make it more possible.

I definitely would love to see more of this. I would suggest continuing with Sonic 3, then Sonic & Knuckles, and finally Sonic CD if possible. After that, maybe see if you could find something like this for the Sonic Advance series? Dunno if it'll go that far, but if you make it, I'll definitely watch it
For the Sonic 3 games i'm pretty sure he will go fast as Sonic

Somebody should make a TAS (AI) that can play this hack perfectly even in high speed without any flaw.
It would be basically the equivalent of watching a canon speed sonic in action.

In Sonic 2, the areas are called zones.

I think it’s some type of special fuel that goes thought a filtration system to power his machines
Since he uses some straw device to suck up the purple liquid but it turns blue and is less clear

Sometimes it's nice to have a break from Omochao. Honestly expected you to finish the whole game at those speeds though.

Entering and exiting water in Sonic 2 and 3 kills activated speed shoes. This ring induced speed incease is probably coded similarly to the speed shoes power up. And on a fun note, getting speed shoes underwater and staying there until they wear off gives Sonic his normal out of water running speed while still in water.

Imagine this + omochao edition + xl + sonic blast processing + yoshi
With omochao, there would be everytime you switch through the system. (Ex. Omochao could say "you switched to gameboy!") And when you get a ring he will say you got a ring but after he will say you got faster. And when sonic gains weight omochao will say you gained weight. And when yoshi eats a badnik he will say you ate the badnik and when you lay an egg he says you lay an egg and when you throw and it breaks it will say you destroyed the badnik. Sounds like total torture, doesn't it?

Hey,the large spike pit in Mystic Cave actually is the Hidden Palace zone if you play Sonic 2 on mobile.
20:38 Falling into that spike pit is hell if you've already collected all seven Chaos Emeralds and are Super Sonic with more than 200 rings as it'll be over three minutes until you die.

If you like this one, theres a rom hack of Sonic 1 called Sonic 1 Over 9000 where hes overpowered off the bat
Ah, any time something would normally change your speed (Water or getting/losing speed shoes), the boosted speed is reset.
So if you wanna keep your speed, you gotta avoid both water and ironically, speed shoe monitors.
Darby, if you haven't done it already, I found a mod on Sonic Retro that puts the Homing Attack and Jump Dash into Sonic 2.

I can’t imagine if Omochoa was in this hack. Between going super fast and coming to a complete sudden stop just to hear Omochoa say something every time you do anything would probably give you motion sickness for life or just give you seizures but, it would be funny as heck at least, in a dark way.
