I must say that I have a very similar experience with cardio. I originally had the very 1st LS2 helmet with the 1st Freecom 4. At best I’d give it a 75 % for music sound and 40% for phone calls. Fast forward to the newest cardio paired with the new Freecom 2X and both options has decreased in sound quality. Since I purchased at Cycle Gear, I plan to return both. Great review, you and I see the same issue
I love my PackTalk Edge. I've had my Edge going on 1 year and I do not have any of the problems this content creator is stating. It's the total opposite.
I haven't found anything I recommend. I took the cardo out of my helmet and I haven't seen anything to replace it. Custom IEMs with a Bluetooth receiver clipped to my helmet or shirt is what I'm looking at now. Just something to listen to music.
I bought and tested it myself and I have to disagree with about 80%. The look and feel is definitely premium. The battery I don't know yet. The sound is not as bad as you say. They sound really full with a very decent amount of bass. The only thing I can agree on is the volume while driving 125+ km/h on the highway. I was able to comfortably listen to a podcast until 120 km/h, above this speed some sentences started to become harder to hear. All in all for 99% of people a very solid buy at this pricepoint. I ordered the 45mm speaker upgrade so I can hear my podcasts at highway speeds (and a little above 😉).
I’m not a cardo glazer but what I’ll say is I have the 2x freecom coming from a lexin. The lexin made music sound like wind noise and once I upgraded I 100% hear music on the free way from the cardo. I wear earplugs from eargasm and drive a zx-10 with full exhaust set up yes they work but I agree DO NOT spend more than you need 4x freecom would be the most 98% of riders need
Welcome back! It’s been a while. Thanks for making this video.
Thanks for watching!

I'm looking for an intercom that I can use with my helmet, decent sound quality, fairly loud etc. What would you reccomend under 300$?

That's awesome. You should go make a video about it.
… Guess, I’ll just keep using my $19.99 Skullcandy Bluetooth headphones that I love! 🎧 🏍️
Thanks mate! 🤓

That's awesome. It's good to know you can hear your audio through your plugs and a real exhaust.
