A monster hunter from Val Habar, the nomadic desert town that fused with Wakanda. Monster hunters are experts at tracking and taking down monsters using weapons and armor forged from monster scales and claws. Hunters typically go by their given name, but this legendary hunter simply goes by Monster Hunter. She has been appointed as Black Panther’s right hand, a new tradition established to create harmony in the newly-forced nation of Valkanda and strengthen bonds in the fight against Ultron Sigma.

You don't fight with monsters you fight agents them she isn't from Monster hunter story's there is no reason that I see for there to be a monster maybe to see in the backround but not in a move set
Yea but Frank West is in the Game and he has his enemy, the Zombies, incorporated into his attacks, at least have a super where they opponent gets attacked by some of these creatures.

Mognitus Capcom tried to do otherwise for SF5, where every non cosmetic dlc can be bought with in game currency, and the game flopped so they scrapped the idea and we are back to the old model for this one.
Yeah they game launched with 30 characters, so greedy to make you pay $5 for #31.
It is greedy when over 70% of the characters included in the base 30 are copy and pasted from previous titles with slight tweaks

S C Canonically, they speak their own language, and that should be represented. Instead, they cheaped out and gave her (pretty bad) English voice acting.
They actually speak english in the new game which this character is based off of.
They don't grunt but actually have their own language. In Monster Hunter Stories their language is more fleshed out and I thought it was a nice idea. Obviously Monster Hunter World will be in English this time but I believe there is an option to change it to the MH language.

No because she wasn't a character that was a character to use just a cameo. The look is done but the model and gameplay of her weren't done yet. Your thinking of Mortal Kombat X which had the characters show up like Sindel and others to fight against and were done but all used the MK9 moveset and were never made playable. They could have just made them playable as is but the commuinty may have gotten mad at nothing new and no 3 styles like the cast and so on. Injustice 2 did the same thing with their DLC and so do Blazblue and Guilty Gear. This one however didn't make her playable till after it was done and no reports show on disk dlc and I'm sure won't just like Injustice 2. Wanna talk greed and no surprises look at NRS those are your target, $100 game or $40 DLC no way.
I haven't seen any one mention having characters on the disc yet..so I doubt it. Games are actually finished months before they release. They were probably working on Monster Hunter in that time to get her to this state.
They annouced sigma and black panther as dlc before the game months before the game came out

You do realize PC players ruin this for you right last time they made story mode characters playable people ripped them right from story and used them so understand wtf you're saying before you start complaining

Do you know how many times you'd have to change your armor to use those weapons in an mh game? Face it, a hunter is not capable in combat against humans. You'd be halfway dead by the time you finish swinging a great sword...

Don't you create your own character in Monster Hunter? If so, it'd be cool if the character's appearance was randomly generated.
As a CB and SnS main I would have hoped the hunter could switch weapons.
They could have done a better level 3. Why use a Bomb Barrel when they could have done a cameo from a monster running in or something while she runs away or something like that? Rathian or Rathalos could have flown overhead breathing fire onto the enemy as she runs. Jhin Morahn could have made an appearance as there is already a model of it in the game. Freakin, have Deviljho just bust in out of nowhere as it always does to interrupt the fight and have her run away from that while the enemy gets eaten!
Oh look content that should already be in the game as DLC.

Its noticeable that the devs here don't actually play any of the Monster Hunter titles. They'd immediately know that Hunters are either of three types in terms of vocabulary: Link, Monster Puns, or French.

I'm honestly excited for her since I wanted to make her my main. Also making her a girl was just icing on the cake since I always go female in all my MH games.

Her fellow hunters/the guild found her overwhelming amount of talking and use of catchphrases during battle to be absolutely dreadful, so they "assigned" her to fight Marvel characters

She looks awesome, her moves look great, I'm really loving the overall design and style to the character.
But...
She sounds horrible. She has really bland lines and has no personality at all. Being a monster hunter they could have left us with grunts. If not don 't make her sounds just like everyone else. This has been my major problem with this game so far, everyone sounds the same. The voice acting in the story mode is garbage and it really does take away from the game.
Bruh there needs to be an arisen skin from Dragons dogma for this character. Anyone else agree?
