@brian600lyle I saw them 27 times, 26 pre-Last Waltz. I am as big a Richard fan as anyone. I also HEARD them in 1969 from outside the Forest Hills Tennis Stadium. Unfortunately and unlike any other concert I attended I was on a three letter hallucinogen. I would give years to have heard my favorite song, Whispering Pines live. I don't remember individual songs but I know they were great that night. Anyone ever hear it live?
Wow. I can dig it I'm the same way. First concert April wine 1973. 6 Texas jams Dallas cotton bowl. 2 farm aids 1986 1987 Austin. And 58 concerts so far. Saw Ringo October 13th 2023. Saw sir Paul Dallas 2002. I saw almost every band. I was high and drunk and one time on acid. Blackfoot concert. 1981. Rest in peace the band. And thank you garf. Texas
@SHAMROCK2982 Yea its on the Whispering Pines (Live at the Getaway) album out there from 86, I can try to post it you would like to hear it, it pretty rough but he did do it.
Richard Manuel.. Too soon gone 🙏🏻🎹🎤🥁
Miss Richard Manual & The Band!!
I miss you Richard.
The beginning is not a voice crack, he simply tries to start in falsetto like on the original recording but cannot carry on.
that voice just sends chills!
Garth's subtle organ really make this song stand out! Long live The Band!
