Because of my wife's position, I am prohibited from owning securities from a specific market sector, and you can be damn sure that if I were to violate any of those ethics rules my wife would be out of a job in a heartbeat and the SEC, IRS, and DOJ would take up permanent residence in my colon. These people truly think the rules just don't apply to them because there is never any kind of real action taken against them, other than a browbeating in a congressional hearing. The multi-tiered system makes me sick and needs to be corrected.
I have a similar situation. Just the slights appearance of impropriety regarding trading and I am fired and fined and I am a nobody. These people make regulations and are aware of every regulation that impacts industries outside of their role as she says so I cry bullshit on her comment
