Hey bud, just a heads up, at 4:44, that’s the start and bottom of Radical Hill, but you gotta make that right hand turn instead of continuing towards Webster pass. Basically Radical Hill’s bottom is off of Webster Pass (north side) and the top converges with Deer Creek and Saints John/Swan River Forks. The south side of Webster pass is called Handcart Gulch, it’s a bit narrow for sure. Great video tho! Fun times!
@@TrailTraveler No worries buddy, figured you might get some comments about it. Lol, you know how I feel about Alltrails. Alltrails is not made for or by off-roaders, and I feel it’s going to get people in trouble due to its inaccuracies. It’s not a big deal and I know it’s easy to say the wrong thing while making videos. I just brought it up because there is a big difficulty discrepancy between the two trails. Here, handcart gulch (South side of Webster Pass) is a former easy trail, maybe 3-4 at most now (but does have a high pucker due the narrowness of it), while Radical Hill is a 6 (maybe 7 per TrailsOffroad). Radical Hill’s shelf road is much worse than handcart gulch’s and may freak out someone if they get on it by accident. Plus Rad has obstacles on top of the shelf road. Never mind, I see you do radical hill later in the video.
@@coloradomallcrawlers can you advise me on the best way to get to Red Cone from Breckenridge? I'm wanting to hit red cone from the south, and if we have time, shoot east and come down radical hill from the south side. It looks like the only way that makes sense from Breckenridge basically runs me right into the north side of Radical hill. If so, I'll run my planned route in reverse but in that case, what is the quickest way to start making my way north to Estes? Thank you for any help.
I have been all around this area, but never through it, following you on Google Earth was real easy and the ride was fantastic. Thank you so much for posting.
Saw a Ford F150 4WD slide sidewase on the loose shale downhill off the back of Red Cone in 1982. The driver and passenger were ejected at the first roll over and had some broken bones and a bad head wound. The truck was completely destroyed. Flight for Life came in and picked up the two injured people. I was the next rig to head down in my FJ40 compound low and no brakes, I have to admit I was a little stressed out.
Amazing stuff guys as usual, nice driving Katerina 👍 My wife and I are heading your way next summer and so appreciate the videos and education along the way
What I hate is when you get people behind you that ride your bumper till you can get to a part to let them pass. So many are just in a hurry. Great vid!
Hey I watch your videos on UA-cam! But I think I already told you that in the video! I had no idea it was you until I saw you inside the Jeep! What a gem of trails in that area. Great drone footage 👍
the redcone drone footage and music at 29 minutes in were awesome.... okay back for the second half of the video.....2nd half was equally great. Great Job driving Katarina ? sp ---
At 8:26 you're not going down Radical Hill, you're going down the east side of Webster Pass. You missed the turnoff for Radical Hill when you were ascending the west side of Webster Pass. You'll know Radical Hill when you get there.
Oops, replied from my other channel. I just sold the Mavic 3 Pro and Evo II Pro and now have the new Mavic 3. We will be hitting China Wall today to really try it out as that is a pretty familiar trail for us. The image quality on it is amazing!!
@@TrailTraveler Nice! I’m looking forward to seeing the footage. I ordered a Skydio drone and will see how that works for me. I’ve never flown one before and this looks like the easiest one to fly
Great video. Can this route be accomplished w/a stock jeep on 32s? Looks like a better route than trying to come all the way up red cone. What was your total time?
Yes on the jeep. Red cone is a one way trail hwy 285 to Webster pass. Going right takes you to radical hill or Montezuma on a point to point trail. Left is down Webster pass and handcart gulch and back to 285 on a nice loop. July or August or September is the best time. I'll see you out there in 2023.
The firsttime you even touch Radical Hill is at 34:45 in the video. Up until that point you are all Webster and Red Cone. Either your trail info was wrong or you comprehended it incorrectly.
Why do you have 15psi in the front and 14psi in the rear? Do you ever use the hill descent feature? Nice driving Katarina!! Great video, thanks for posting. 👍
Great video, but... Yeah, no. You drove PAST Radical Hill exactly when you mentioned that you were going onto it. That's just Webster Pass. Radical Hill is MUCH harder. Also, Red Cone is not a pass. It's a mountain. Stick with TrailsOffroad and you'll get it right.
We were using the Trails Off-road app for our reference. It lists radical hill as two places, the switchbacks going from Webster Pass down towards the beginning of Red Cone and the trail going from the bottom of Webster Pass up to Saints John.
Totally wrong. What you are calling Radical Hill is Webster Pass!! OnX off-road has it miss labeled!! I have tried to submit many times never goes through.

Yeah, I thought I mentioned that I was using the AllTrails app that called it radical hill was well

I'm glad someone else caught this. My red flags went up during the intro. "That's NOT Radical! That's just the south side of Webster!"

I have liked Webster and Red Cone... St. Johns was fun also.. Been awhile since I have been up there on an ATV.

Correct, many people refer to the narrows as radical hill, which we actually do later in the video
Is the aerial footage from a drone or an F-16? What is that you are flying???
Most of the aerials were shot with an Autel EVO II Pro, the main aerial shot that whips around the valley was shot on the DJI FPV Drone.

Can you camp in these places ?
There are a handful of spots where you can camp there
How do you like the osmo action so far? We have been debating get 1 for our wheeling trips.
It’s been the primary camera for over two years
What day did you run this? Sorry if you said and I missed it.
That was August 16th - Yes, I am a bit behind in getting videos caught up on
@@TrailTraveler, oh no worries! I was curious cause there is no ice up there like when I went.

As I said, we were using an app and I said that this is what it says. Different guides call things different names and almost no two will every agree
That’s not Radical Hill at 8:30. That’s the other side of Webster Pass. Scary to think you’ve led trail runs……
Trails Off-road calls it Radical Hill as I mentioned in the video
Think you’ve confuse Hand cart
gulch with radical hill. You pass the trail head to radical hill at the 5 minute mark in the video.
I was going off of the trails offroad guide which I think has some mislabeled trails

Just how thee auto deflators worked out, it wasn’t intentional. We have used the feature before, but we prefer to do it manually.

I know, I mentioned that different guides call it different names and AllTrails called it Radical Hill, one of the reasons I don’t use it anymore
That is not even close to radical hill
If you listened, I said it listed differently depending on which trail guide you use.
