Well that looked so easy. I have done my 01 GMC Sierra with no issues. I took this to a local mechanic to replace both sides on a 08 commander with a lift. He had it two days and only got the driver side done, and gave up. Called me told me to come pick it up. Just gave up ……..what the hell. So I will be doing it my self. I hit that sub button cause you made it look so easy
@@life_of_riley88 very difficult, make sure both sides are off the ground and wrap a towel around the slide hammer and attach the hammer to the cv so it wont slide off.
Must be nice not working in the rust belt. A 25 lb. sledge will not even budge the strut bolt. Had to cut mine off. Also noticed you did not have to put a breaker bar with a 3 foot pipe on the other bolts to break them loose. I just replaced my upper and lower control arms, struts, cv axles, and tie rod ends, took me a little more than 7 minutes. Brown loctite (rust) is the best!
It's all been done many times. Lol I am in central Illinois. But you are correct for the first time. I have another video explaining the seized strut bolt.
So upper and lower bj nuts, tre, strut fork bolt, and the axle nut. Have you had any trouble with reusing those castle nuts? I have reused mine and wonder if i should replace them more often. Im about to do my CVs just for shits and before mine fail, that way ill have a trail spare if needed. Doggone ifs... why do we do it anyways
hello friend I like the suspension of your jeep comander I have a jeep comander how do I order the suaspencion for my car still put some like that in my car and the mec
Well I live in Illinois so that's rust belt. We off-road all over. California, Utah Arizona, that's heat. But of course is not factory. It has been apart a few times on a lift and on trail. I have another video explaining why the strut bolt don't come out for most people.

Most people give up trying to get the CV shaft out of the differential. Gotta be stern with it, it's a snap ring.

Very nice! Those pickle fork tools, are they specific for the cv shafts? What do you call those?

Did you eliminate the sway bar?
OK except for letting the brake caliper hang from the brake hose. That is a bad practice. Sorry
every thing he is removing had not been in the elements for 10 to 15 years salt, rust ,heat.

tell me about lower control arms…..
Where can I get all the kit and how much would you think it would cost?
What Kit?
Now do it without a lift and 15 years of rust.
Torch. That is how we got here.
@@jjoffroad9793 for the clevis bolt even torch won't work sometimes
now this now that, well wash the salt off frequently and it won't get to "15 years of rust" 😂
