at 5:07 you said that the ratio not 1:1 when diff drop, should you tell pls how much I need diff drop if I do 4inch setup on front suspension? 1 3/4 am I right?
@@БогданАнтипин That is specifically what we designed ours for. 4" lift and a 1.75" diff drop.
@@jjoffroad9793 thx a lot.
Great video!
Hey i was wondering if you guys still produce these, I believe I need one because as soon as I got done installing my lift (3.5 in clevis style lift) there is now a loud clunking. I know it sounds just like an outer cv joint on the passenger side, but I believe it is because I have aftermarket cv axle over there already and it is just poor quality… do you think the diff drop will correct my cv angle and make my outer joint ride smooth again, or do I need the diff drop and a new cv joint (is the cv joint already messed up from the driving I have been doing while it’s binding?)
Well I officially bought it so I hope it works out 🤞🏼
What outer tie rods do you have in this jeep?
@@6angels503 pro forged inner and outer
Iam a big fan sir
Are these ever going to be back in stock?
They just sold out last Saturday. We are working on restocking. We are waiting for a part on our CNC. Sorry for the wait.
@@Ghostman2951 ok so maybe another month or so to be back in stock?
@@h22eh6 hopefully not that long . We have been selling a lot of them. We are trying to keep up.
@@Ghostman2951how can I contact the shop? How do I know when they in stock?
@@h22eh6 just watch the website. We will update when we have back in stock.
OK except for letting the brake caliper hang from the brake hose. That is a bad practice. Sorry
Hm. Well. I did mine so easy with the torch. Came out like in 5 minutes. Just put wd40 and heat the bolt with the torch.
where should i cut the bolt from
Damn great job! Can you tell a little bit more about your coilover setup? How have you mounted that coilover into the clevis fork? I thought King's only made a specific one for the xk/wk with it's own fork
These are the ones from King specifically for WK and XK. They no longer make them.
What struts are you running
King coilovers.
Okay, so now the Superlift kit for WK XK has been discontinued. What to do?
I have everything on the Jeeperf kit except I’m using your diff drop. I have a 3.5” clevis lift, 2” ome springs, bilsteins and JBAs. I have basically stock angles and I’m sitting at 5” do you think I could get away with installing a 2” leveling kit to get above 6.5” I was also thinking about the Rusty’s 1/2” leveling kit.
Hello! I just bought a WK 2010 4.7, it is totally original, I bought the bilstein 5100 shock absorbers and I am going to install them with the original springs, my question is how much do you recommend me to lift it so that it does not start to harm the other parts and if I have to lift more on the front side than the rear or the same level on
How safe is to notch the cross-member? And what would be the min. thickness for it?
The bottom of the crossmember is 2" solid metal. The top being notches is only about 1/8" metal. It is notches and then plated back. There are 1000s of jeeps running this notch. Superlift had the same design when their kits were still available.
hey @j&jOffRoad i have a question, i have a jeep commander with 35's tires, i have a 3.5 lift with no diff drop, my cv axle shaft started clicking after 2 weeks of installation, i plan to order your diff drop kit next week, Will my problem with the differential drop kit be solved? obviously replacing my cv axle shaft again, or is the problem with the tires? I hope you can help me with this question and thank you very much.
The diff drop will definitely help. If you are offroading alot you may still have some issues depending on axles you buy. The best axle is OEM. The others are by far inferior. We tested several different brands. We were on 33"s at the time . I had some that only lasted two weeks. That was hard offroading. I know guys that run 35"s and don't have lots of issues on OEM axles. If you mainly drive on the road the diff drop should take care of most the problem.
@@jjoffroad9793 Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions, this week I will make my differential drop request, I don't do off road, I only use it in the city, but I live in Baja Mexico and the streets are too damaged, once again thank you very much for help have a great day
Could I have the control arm drop kit , I’m lifting with a 2.5” strut spacer on the top
Hi got a question here. I have 2014 wk2 diesel and i would to add some lift with blistein 5100 with oem heavy duty spring on last notch #4 wonder how high can i get?
We only work on WK and XK. Sorry.
Did you eliminate the sway bar?
Do you guys offer a lower control arm drop, I’m tryin to run like a 5-6in lift without dropping money for super lift I got 2in spacer and the 3.5in Clevis fork lift, I take it that I need to drop more then just my differential
You are a fu cklng MASTER!!! Thanks a lot
With the diff drop can you still use the factory skid plate if you cut it out a bit for clearance?
Some drop the plate. One guy cut it and modified it.
I am pushing 25 inches from center hub to fender. Could you please give a component list of parts to correct this
Now do it without a lift and 15 years of rust.
Torch. That is how we got here.
@@jjoffroad9793 for the clevis bolt even torch won't work sometimes
now this now that, well wash the salt off frequently and it won't get to "15 years of rust" 😂
and is there any chance with running 5in lift i can use your diff drop without cv axels touching
I have a coupe guys running at 5". You have to shave about 3/4 " off your LCA between the strut fork. It won't hurt anything. They just grind it down for extra clearance. That would be 23.5" hub center to fender.
@@jjoffroad9793 ok thanks
have you guys ever made any lower control arm drop kits?
theres no lower control arm drops for jeep wk that exceeds 4in lift?
I love my WK...the qd 2 is awesome..and the power of the 5.7 is great..
How can I adjust it ?
You need a strut compressor. Remove spring. Change clip on shock and put spring back on.
@@jjoffroad9793 please, how can change the clip, by hand or by piler or other tool?
You need a strut compressor.
@@jjoffroad9793 Maybe i wasn’t clear, I’m referring to the snap ring
@@Fabio-wz3yg it should just pop out with a screwdriver. Sorry I didn't follow you. We have never had an issue getting out.
How and wich winch did you install?
That was a hidden winch setup. I run a 10k superwinch. I have since changed to a different bumper. Search omelettes winch build. We built our own. There are some available to buy.
Hey I'm on a 3inch spacer lift on 05 grand cherokee anything u recommend I need parts wise ik I need jba upper control arms after my upper balljoint snapped I had it replaced but it's not riding the same on that side took it to shops they say I need alot but not to sure wat parts I need
3" spacer lift is giving you around 6" lift. There is nothing you can add to correct it. Measure your hub center to fender measurements. Stock is 18.5". So 4" lift is 22.5" that is where we designed our diff drops to work as well as JBA. Anything over that you have to have different steering knuckles and LCA drop. We are running 7" lift with coilovers and we measure 25.5" hub center to fender. We have different knuckles, tie rods, diff drop, LCA drop, RCV axles, and JBA UCA.
Spacer lifts double lift height on IFS
Excellent explanation brother … I’m in the middle of it !
Excellent video. Finally i get why people buy the 5100`s. I saw a picture of a RAM 1500 4" lift spindle and couldn´t help thinking that they look very much like the WK spindle. Have you ever looked into that? If they are the same, there is an alternative for the Superlift.. Thank you very much for your videos!!!
What is the AEV for?
It is to recalibrate the 4wd system for lift and tires. Stops the traction control problems.
Unfortunately they stopped making them. They are hard to find.
Great video and thank you brother! I have a WK with a 5.7 hemi and have 5100s all around on stock springs with front 5100’s set at setting 3 for 2” preload and rears have a 2” spring spacer on stock springs. Im adding a 40lb winch plate and a 75lb winch up front. The front stock springs started sagging already 0.5” this is without the winch plate and winch installed yet.. Getting OME springs, but I dont want to go over 2.75”-3” max total lift total from stock after every thing is installed and settles with 5100 set to the first setting for 0.75”. Should I get the Medium Durty or Heavy Duty OME springs for the front to not go over 2.75-3” total lift from stock after I add winch and winch plate? Btw, Im running the factory plastic Stock front bumper. Thanks
We ran the HD. They ride a little stiff but after 2 yrs they did start sagging. I had a little more weight than you. Some run Md. Depends how much off roading you do. If you do quite a bit I would go with HD. We we're pretty hard on ours. We actually went through 2 sets of 5100 in the front.
And where do I get the knuckle at or bracket whatever it is I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Trail Edition
Superlift no longer sells them. No options at this time. 4" lift is limit for the WK and XK platform
One question, what coilovers are those and where can I find them?
They are King. You can order through filthy Motorsports.
What struts and springs are you running on this. I have diffucult time finding any for the 08 xk for them exactly. Should I order for a different model. What the bilstiens with 2" to add to my spacer kit i have currently.
Hello. I wanted to ask you, do you send goods to Estonia?
Seen me shipping address through our website and I will get you a shipping quote. jjoffroadfab.com/
You still make them Lower control arms drop? I’m running JBA upper control arms with 2” emu shocks and springs but I’m about to put 3” spacer and I feel the tension is gonna be quite a bit.
You can not run a lower control arm drop without different knuckles. Superlift is the only one that made them and they stopped. If you drop your LCA you are dropping your tierod and upper ball joint. The Superlift knuckle raises those back up equally to the difference of the LCA drop. Second a three inch spacer alone will give you about 5.5" of lift and completely destroy your front components. It changes the entire gemoetry of how the strut moves. Spacers add double the lift Please watch our video on use of Superlift front components. It will make sense..
So I’m pretty much screwed on trying to increase my clearance so my tires won’t rub ;(
Not any options right now to go over 4". I tried to get knuckles made. The dies alone where crazy expensive. We would never recoup the money.
Where can I get all the kit and how much would you think it would cost?
What Kit?
Just did a lift and now I have a vibration under acceleration, I think it's the cv axles. I measure 23.75 from axle to fender. Will this work for me?
You have a 5.25" lift on the front. Stock is 18.5". I am assuming you have spacers. They double the lift and mess up the geometry of the strut. Our diff drop will only work up to 4" which is 22.5" you are probably correct the CV axles, rack and pinion along with upper ball joints will be having issues at this height. Please see my video on SL front components. Bad part they don't offer them any more.
@@jjoffroad9793 So if I would install your diff drop with the amount of lift I have it would make the axle contact the lower correct?
@@Rosco83522 that is correct. You could maybe get away with 23.5 at the most but would have to grind the lower control arm between the strut fork. People have done it for higher lift.
Broooo...I did the 3" spacer lift, 33×12.5×24s...never had an issue til I recently replaced UCAs with JBAs & cv axles, now I get that vibration on acceleration!! I was thinkn the diff mount bushings were the cause, now I'm thinkn I needa do this drop!! Lmk
Question. Where can I buy the original strut fork Celvis ? I found one on amazon but it’s little to long can hear a bunch of noise idk maybe if I lift it in the back I won’t hear the noise but it’s annoying
You should be able to order from Mopar.
@@Ghostman2951 lol thanks found it but wasn’t expecting that price 😂
@@XX-xtudox yea that shit is high af currently doing this job now and nothing works gonna have to cut it
Do you guys have a lift kit or any option to lift Jeep commander I got 3 inch space clevis kit but I whant to make it hire front end sit lower then back
do you have any of the SL knuckles and cross members for sale?
No. Good luck finding any. Start checking junk yards if you can and hope someone left them on. Or find a 2wd kit still available. Then just buy our diff drop. A couple guys find them.
@@Ghostman2951 Any info on where they found the 2wd kits? Ive even been asking for those and cant find those either. Superlift is offering no hope either, kinda disappointed they are letting customers down on this model Grand Cherokee.
They stopped because they can't get the AEV EGR module anymore. If you have QD2 2006 and on just about have to have it to fix traction control issues.
Sorry I replied under my other account.
@@Ghostman2951 Yeah, thats what superlift told me too. I bought this jeep because i saw “Superlift 4” lift kits advertised everywhere, now nobody has any and its discontinued. Superlift needed a better negotiator for the AEV modules as the guy told me they wanted too much $ to keep manufacturing them. I mean, i dont think there’s a lot of technology their in a device using dip switches that someone else couldnt puck it up and make it.
How can i get one?
Donde puedo obtener uno?
jjoffroadfab.com/
What lift knucles can fit to a jeep commander?
Only option now is stock. Superlift stopped selling parts. 4" lift is the limit for lift now without SL knuckles.b
Best advice for everyone who is planning to do this job: don't even try to get that bolt out. Save your time and just cut it off. Only issue is that this bolt cost 50 bucks in dealership.
If I'm at 24 from center of hub to bottom of fender but only road drive. Will this work?
No you have 5.5" lift. This will only work up to 4" or 22.5" unless you use Superlift knuckles and LCA drop that is what we all run with 6" lifts. . With out LCA drop at 5" with diff drop the axles will hit LCA
Can you give some advice to help me out with this i dont think super lift sells this part anymore what else can I do or where else can I get them?
Only option is to drop back down to 4" lift and add our diff drop. The best route is OME springs and Bilstein 5100. Then add our diff drop and JBA UCA if you don't have already. There are a few 2wd SL kits available. Some have bought them and added our diff drop.
I have a 3.5 clevis lift with 1.25 OME springs and jba upc arms
On 33s I want to try to salvage as much as possible so I can get your diff drop
I want this kit but I can’t not find it on super lift For the xk or wk. the steering knuckle cross memmber diff drop a-arms springs rear leafs…. All of it. Can you sell it still? If so please reply where I can call or find you
We sell the diff drops. We don't sell Superlift parts. They don't sell them anymore either. They discontinued all SL parts for the WK and XK. Our kits can be found on our website. Jjoffroadfab.com.
