A four day trip on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon. We started at Diamond Creek on the Hualapai tribe lands. The dirt road getting to the boat launch was 20 miles and the last two miles were washed out and muddy. Getting to the river it took an hour and a half to set everything up.
After we took off on the river not really knowing what to expect.
The best piece of advice was buying a river guide book. "Grand Canyon River Guide" Belknap's waterproof book. This kept us on track and knowing where we had to go next.
I will make a video on the entire process for those who would like to know how to make a trip like this. The planning takes a little bit, but for a trip like this it is totally worth it!
All four days we enjoyed our time on the river and couldn't wait to see what the next day was going to bring. We plan on making this journey again in the future if we can.

As a former river guide of 25+years through the Grand Canyon , I can't even begin to tell you how close you were to drowning. I just hope others don't watch this and think it's a standard to not wear a life jacket. I would take this video down ASAP.

It was very dumb and very hot. You are right to say so. Next time we go it will stay on through the rapids. I also wanted to create a video because there hasn't really been any good-quality footage of this section from what I have seen. Was hoping to capture some of the beauty.

I had the good fortune to do an 18 day private trip down the grand canyon. It was the trip of a life time. We had two dories and a 21' raft. Your video brings back some good memories.

I hope one day to take that trip. You are very lucky my friend to have gotten to do that. This place is something special and I am looking forward to going back. Cheers!

Hi. Im a big fan of your videos. I want to do the same trip. Did you park at diamond creek beach? How did you get back from pearce ferry?

There’s a shuttle service you can use and they will ride with you down to diamond creek, take your car out that day and then drop it off for you at Pearce ferry when you think you’ll get there or call them. Let me see if I still have the information

@@bigacefilms Thank you!! I could not find this information online. Also what boat is that you are using? Its says NRS on it but not sure the exact type. Sorry for all the questions. Also thank you for your service, im in the air force myself. I reccomend if you do that trip again, to go to travertine falls, its just down the river from diamond creek beach, its a really cool waterfall in a grotto that you can hike to. Alot of grand canyon river tours take their customers there.

@@Frongner1 no worries at all! I encourage anyone to take this trip. I wish we had hiked to those falls because it sounds incredible! So we rented the u haul trailer from uhaul in flagstaff, and then after picking that up we went to Ceiba Adventures in flagstaff and picked up our 14 ft raft which is all packed and deflated. A bigger one I better for more people. Let me know if you’ve got any other questions, I’ll be happy to answer them for you!

We had the shuttle service drop off our vehicle at the end point on the day we thought we would finish up. The driving sucked because of how long but to be honest it was worth it!
