      for "Aqualastic": I do 150% agree with your thinking / hight quality fans (f.ex. "papst") might last longer, cheap ones won't survive a day / in addition: our "DInventor 101" let the fan run at full speed all the time........... :-)........😏

      a fan like a computer cooling fan has;
      1 - low torque [power
      2 - moderate RPM [speed
      It is impractical [crazy/ignorant/ insane] to use it for applications needing otherwise such as high torque.

    I instead added an available fan to my new TV. Heat can be a big problem with TV's these days. This new TV was getting quite hot, so I constructed a heat collector out of sheets of cardboard. This collects air flow from all the top air vents on the TV, and then of course it also has an opening in the centre for the fan itself. Now the TV is nice and cool. It is a 12vdc fan that I run off of a 5vdc adapter. This lower voltage keeps the fan nice and quiet.

    Reminds me of the old rock tumblers and a paint shaker. Very Cool! Also, seems like a great way to clean things instead of expensive and messy liquids. I'm wondering how this might effect the life of the fan. It seems it would draw more current and possibly overheat with the intake blocked..
