The damage is just: - if neither side busts, the lower side takes the difference - if one side busts, the busting side takes the whole value of the other side - if both bust, noone takes damage The damage can be modified by the suit effects (clubs I think add damage) but that only happens on winning blackjack.
Fuck yes, going from one game I'm waiting on a release of, to another game I'm eagerly awaiting the full launch of! I have far more time than I should admit to in DoDG. ...but then again, this is a game of addiction, isn't it?
I've played a 2nd episode for tomorrow to get a win, but the demo's a little small right now for me to play heaps, but eagerly awaiting more content/full release
@@GothicLordUK 100% agree, the demo is small, I hope it grows to the size and scale of Balatro, both are awesome! By the way, the negative/zero cards are useful in that you can stall for long enough to see what hand your opponent ends up with before you are finished taking actions. I am sure you figured it out by now that damage is the difference between scores but if you bust your score is treated as zero. You generally want to play conservatively and not bust, taking 4 damage from their 18 beating your 14 is better than busting and taking 18 to the face.
The double-back cards are useful because you can see what your opponent does without affecting your side, so if they bust then you can stand at awkward numbers like 14 instead of pushing for a win.
@@GothicLordUK looks like a few new cards (but hard to tell with so meny random ones in the game) and also the basement wasnt in the game - u could go and read the text but it just ended after that text with no rat fight so not sure if it just that fight or a few more fights after that in the demo tbh
Last month i was developing blackjack roguelike and now there is already BJ roguelike game :D Damn I'm so slow, but to be honest it plays better than my version!
You either play low and negative cards so you draw through your deck fast. Or you want stack your deck with big cards like tens and aces to hit 20 or 21 as often as possible. There are no inbetweens.
Bro this new Balatro update is crazy
The damage is just:
- if neither side busts, the lower side takes the difference
- if one side busts, the busting side takes the whole value of the other side
- if both bust, noone takes damage
The damage can be modified by the suit effects (clubs I think add damage) but that only happens on winning blackjack.
Thanks for playing the demo! To answer your question, there are currently 186 cards in the game with lots more to come!
So, you are telling me, when I played a Forest land in blackjack and got thrown out, I was just ahead of my time.
Apparently my Exodia didn't entitle me to the progressive jackpot?!
Just wait until you see the absolutely broken card that involves 4 mana in this game

Interesting, seems like it has a lot of potential but needs a lot of polishing

That is an excellent bit of wisdom, thank you!
0:01 this soundtrack is my fav
I have no clue why, but the SD card is so fucking funny.
I remeber watching this from Retromation like 3 months ago
Has it changed much in that time?

fun game, actually managed to win my first run
edit: first 3 runs so far
Supplement one addiction with another. Also minor note, forgot the "r" in Gamblers in the title.
filling the balatro void LOL
great followup to balatro
Definitely one to watch for a full release

im so fucking hype lets go
You don't want big cards so you can use low level cards to get 21

Roll should be making a massive return to the channel sometime in the next 3-6 months :D
giant rat is such a cheater
These card games are getting complicated
Mmm, a little getting used to here, but a good foundation for something for sure
