- Testing the latest adventure bike offering from Royal Enfield in the shadow of the Himalayas around the Kathmandu valley in Nepal.
I've never been a big fan of the Bullet, so I had my reservations about this bike before I even rode it. But in the end I was pleasantly surprised.
Bloody excellent review, interesting test ground too.
GR8 job, enjoy the adventure ! ✊🏽😏👊🏽
You are back bennie I like your videos
In one of other UA-cam video camparo between BMW GS and Africa twin, the reviewer was much excited about the Africa twin which excels in every point, i think the Himalayan ticks all the right boxes
Hello. enjoyed watching this vlog as i tried to rent one of these while there in Kathmandu early Nov 2016 but could not find one. (i didn't try too hard as it was first time there, slightly nervous about riding a bike all the way to Pokhara etc. Ended up taking the tourist bus. Worked out well but would love to ride a Himalaya one day) Thanks Bennie.
How does it compare to a Versys-X 300?
What a great review!!
Both: Enjoyable and informative. 👍
Thanks bro ;)
You're welcome!!
Seems you are much familiar with Nepali Roads, Just awesome ride!
'm planning to travel to lower Mustang with Pulsar 220 on next month, would you mind to suggest something about it!
The ride to Muktinath is awsome. I did it back in 2012 on a Hartford VR. For me the Pulsar is one of the most uncomfortable bikes I've ridden in Nepal. Narrow bars, crushed nuts, hard seat ect. Not the sort of bike id like to ride off road for a long time. But the Pulsar 220 does have a good motor. It'll get you to Muktinath and back no problem. Its not super hardcore off roading in lower mustang really. As long as you take it slow over the bumps then you'll be alright. Stop off at Tatopani for the hot springs, its so relaxing after a hard days riding. Try to wear some protection. Gloves, knee pads ect. If you're off road, there's a fairly high chance you're gonna come off at some point, so protect yourself. Wear some boots that at least have some ankle protection. Wearing sneakers off road is a quick way to break your ankle. But again if you go slow, then you should be ok. Its warm during the day, but cold at night, so take a warm jumper and some warm socks. Muktinath temple is such a beautiful place. A great destination to reach after a hard days ride. Have fun. Enjoy your beautiful country and ride safe ;)
Bennie Hitchcock Many many thanks. @Cheers!@
Aha mate i live in Europe aswell jus keep on going to nepa and do the review
I'll be going back this year. Might get some more riding done ;)
Legends say you'd come back to Nepal just to have those Bhaktapur curds.
Do you have International License or something else? And You are very Good Rider 👌👌 And Nice vlog 👌
hey you are back.. enjoy your stay
Filmed in November 2016. A bit late posting this one. Heading back later this year though ;)
Good video...👍👍👍👍
i need himalayan bike to buy plz where is showroom of this bike in kathmandu?
Himalayan or Crossfire?
It is Bs3 or Bs4
you know your roads.
Finding my way around a little better now ;)
Crossfire or Himalayan?
rojesh pradhan Completely different bikes. You can't compare them. It's like trying to compare a BMW 1200gs to a motocross bike. Completely different. The enfield is a road bike with the ability to do trail riding. The crossfire is a pure dirt bike with the ability to ride on the road. The crossfire is not a nice bike to use on the street but comes alive when riding quickly off road. opposite is true for the enfield
which country you are from?
I'm English bro. I'm a fairly regular visitor to Nepal now
Bro hows its suspension ?
Is it good for off-roading
i envy you Bennie....😖
Why do you envy me? You can get curd whenever you like! I have to travel 6000kms for a bowl of curd! I envy you ;)
Sashanka Poudyal 😂 its all bout' that curd mate 😆
Its been nearly 4 years i havent had that priceless curd :(
you know your curd don't you...
And still don't like the bike well according to mine riding style...
Best curd in Nepal ;)
