Dyeing Acrylic Yarn with Rit Dye More Synthetic Dye

Using Rit DyeMore Synthetic dye in the color Midnight Navy, I dye some 100% acrylic yarn in a subtle gradient.

**All of the utensils and materials needed to dye this yarn was dedicated to using all dyeing that is NOT food related. None of these items are used for cooking.

Hello! I have a black and red acrylic/viscose yarn woven shawl I want to dye burgundy so bad. Do you think if I tried using like a plum purple dye, it would leave the red parts burgundy and the black parts maybe with a deep purple tint? Would appreciate any tips or advice, thank so much.😊

@@allimenendez3149 Do you know if the yarn is half and half of the acrylic and viscose? If it is, do you know which of the two colors is viscose? Each of those fibers will need different dyes to have it work. So I will wait for you to answer before giving an opinion or recommendation.

So helpful! How did you dry the skeins? Did you open the skeins up or leave them bundled?

Did you have any issues with the yarn changing texture or slightly melting?

Li Ca I did not have any issues with melting but the yarn, but it did seem to flatten slightly after I dyed it.
