Shouting out from ITALY, another fly fishing fanatic. Really enjoy the dialogue, colorful metaphors, and candid honesty of real fishing. Really appreciate all of the hard work that you put into making your videos.
I would like to state something once again. We all love watching you guys catch and release awesome looking trout. But if you talked about the flies you selected or changed to and why it would make your videos more informative and relatable. John K Norther, CA
Seriously, y'all have some beautiful trout out there. Large and their colors are freaking amazing! I would love to trout fish out there! Getting ready to do some bass fishing myself tomorrow morning but I would love to be out there trout fishing rather!?
Awesome video! It looks like you're catching a few different kinds of trout: Coastal Rainbow, Brown, and McCloud River Redband right? The redband at 10:42 is awesome!
Great fishing and huge rainbows by most American standards unless we can include our Great Lakes steelhead which are very plentiful and easily as big as your biggest stream rainbows. It just seems like your fish are so easy to catch, if you have good skills, that it might take away some of the excitement being so easy. Still it is nice sometimes to get into easy fish and not have to be so technical with 5X or 6X tippets. I'd do it if I didn't have to sit in coach for 24 hours!
Speak for yourself and with minimal experience, these guys live around there and do lots of it! Consequently they're good at it, and the water seems a bit coloured on this day they recorded, you could get away with more, if you tried clear streams sight fishing like this for the first time you'd likely struggle! They can definitely see you and they aren't easy, you need to stalk the properly and everything like that and put a good presentation infront of them.
Yes the backcountry fish do the same beat and don't move far, they'd move around the same pool a lot in one day for food but not out of that location if that makes sense.
No reels are designed to take full water immersion. Just pull reel apart end of the day and dry out with hairdryer if need be.If your reel DOES rust in freshwater....you really do have a problem...take it back.
Not a rust problem, more a dumb thing to do with little stones and sediment and not very good reel care, unless u watch it out after you'd be grinding stones.

Awesome video! It looks like you're catching a few different kinds of trout: Coastal Rainbow, Brown, and McCloud River Redband right? The redband at 10:42 is awesome!
No it's just a rainbow and these rivers are at high altitude levels these fish don't go out to sea they r just resident rainbows.
Great video as always.

Nice fishing👍
Awesome vid buds 👍🏻
Rainbows are everywhere.
Ah I don’t know, but when it takes 2 men to catch a trout, it seems like an ambush!
Wish I were there.
The old professor
Easily caught solo. But what’s the point in you mate just standing there watching? Might aswell put him to good use.
Damn i wish I could get a trout the size you guys get....so jealous

Fisherman: this is the catch of your day
*Grizzly: Hold my beer*
Lol, 'he's decent'. That's larger than any trout I've ever caught xD
awesome mate, i know them net fail feels lol
appreciate how well you handle the fish. get the camera ready, quick picture, and let em go.....
You got a 360 camera on the way for that 3rd person view ? The guide I used in Slovenia uses one, results are pretty awesome.
Looks too dang easy! Are they picky in the slightest?
Far out!
Churb
Hell ya! Love it
Netfish and chill 🤣🤣 should be your next t shirt
perfect film big fish
What kind of fly line are you using for nymphing?
Rio gold
Pretty stationary fish so if one has a mark thats easy to identify and you go back a month later he will be in the same pool?
Yes the backcountry fish do the same beat and don't move far, they'd move around the same pool a lot in one day for food but not out of that location if that makes sense.
Amazing place :)
Wao interesting Content !!!
What do you tie on your line to indicate if you have a bite ?
That brown tho!
How often do you lubricate your reels ? Lol
Those trout have massive eyes
Are these resident fish or migratory spawners?
Hey dude they live full time in a river. Not ocean or lake. And at the moment they are pre spawn
@@TroutHuntingNZ thanks for the info. Nice fish!
Doesn’t having your reel sitting in the water like that rust it or do you have something different

Great videoooo,Respeect
What was the fly?
Cheers!!
can we get another swing ep?
They have a lot of rivers in New Zealand with NO trout. I can confirm that fact.
😉
Mostly small dark forested over with creeks with no light that the trout don't fit in, only little galaxidds.
0:01 what the heck is he doing!
He said he was putting away the fly (a tarp-like sheet used over the tent), but it looked embarrassing....
👍🏻
Stocked fish?
Wild
You should go on the TV show Pure Fly on Duke
He'd have to be fully Manic'd out if yknow what I mean, and he is the Loop ambassador for NZ so no chance really unfortunately.
