The man isn't agressive, he's just direct and responds to the "know it all" attitude of the dragons. He deserved a bit more credit for this idea.
Peter trying to sound funny and witty for the cameras and his comrades, the man knew it and responds accordingly and duncan bounces in to say hes aggressive. You can't win in that kind of toxic environment.
He is pretty aggressive, in fairness. Like when Peter is asking his figures and based on what he claims Peter presents him with what turnover he claims he'll make and he's all "Is it? Alright." Perfect example of being aggressive. It might be more passive-aggressive but it's aggressive all the same.
It's actually a great idea I think but like composting toilets would be amazing for the environment it's hard to get people interested. Maybe in the years since the show was made it would have more appeal with sustainability more popular.

Only small businesses who have products that can immediately be taken and mass produced in China to make great savings and still sell for high prices interest these people.
They advocate buying locally, eating bio etc etc but they are the FIRST to produce in China and sell (without thinking of the carbon footprint).

I've been fitting toilets with push buttons like this for 20 years. You push the little button for a p. The big one for a number 2. This guy using tech already in use to adapt older cisterns

Maybe when you’re looking for an investment at a million pound valuation, when you haven’t sold any product, and when you say you’re going to do 200000 revenue but when you give the sales figures its calculated to be 540000 then you should do a little more to be more endearing to the dragons.

They may not be in business as all links lead to nothing. I think if he were to go in DD today the product would get a better response, but as we know now they invest in people as much as the product.

I'd buy one of these. Ingenius idea. I always check the toilet bowl to make sure it's clean after flushing. I think that's quite normal.
I'm pretty sure this guy actually got the last laugh. He still seems to own the patent on it according to the search engines and one of the biggest bathroom fitting companies, Grohe, appears to be selling a version of exactly this system.

He has something here on conserving water if he is first on this ofc ..dunno age of vid...i mean one of my toilets installed in 2011 has a push flush at top of tank and two buttons..one for conservative flush guess 1/2 flush and one for full flush.

My friend works for a company that is contracted out by the Gov to fit these types of devices in council houses, so not as bad of an idea as the dragons thought.
I live in America....in public housing...here we use as needed. However if we go over a certain cost. We have to pay for the difference. FYI

Not exactly. I am living on my social security. However my ssi (social security insurance) check is not really enough to really get by. In public housing you pay a portion of the rent.and the state pays the rest. Plus food stamps .
I do pay the electric. Plus my medical is paid. I am a senior citizen. I am a very lucky woman. And very grateful. The U.S. is not such a bad place. I love my country. And proud to be an American.

Most toilets, in my country, have a half flush, full flush choice, now. Is his idea better than that?
Bear in mind this was pitched back in 2008.
@@badgasaurus4211 I've been fitting bathrooms for a very long time, and these dual flush toilets were around last century, even the nine litre flush he was demonstrating was outlawed last century. All new cistern's had to have a maximum of a six litre flush. The dual flush is very efficient because the smaller flush can be adjusted to suit smaller needs. His device was reliant on people getting it right each time, and if you accidentally didn't flush enough, you'd have to flush again.
Anyway, there is a down side to using less water, the sewer system needs more water to be fully cleared, and some sewers get blocked more often, causing more water being used via high pressure hoses to clear out the sewers, therefore, water usage is probably just as much or even more now.

Or a fishing sinker on the arm that holds the float.
Most toilets have an adjustment on the float level but some people need extra flush water to make sure the odd stubborn bog goes away.

There is already a half flush and full flush system. You can change the cistern levels if you know how to do it. I can see where he is coming from but the price is massive compared to double auto flush costing about a fiver. Keep the ideas coming though guys.

Basically, blessed by God.
But on point of the device, you can adjust it yourself in your toilet right now. That plastic balloon that floats on the water is known as a stopper. The stopper works by floating up until it pulls down on a small lever which seals the refill cap.
If you lower the stopper, the water won't rise as high before the level pulls down on the refill cap. For example, if you lower the stopper by an inch, you'll save about half a gallon or so with each flush. However, this also means your bowl will be less full as well, so keep this in mind.
