Thank you for the helpful video!!
for anyone watching this video Make sure you map out where all the bolts went in it. They are different lengths. And for the record the 13 mm bolts are torqued to 218 inch pounds and the 10 mm bolts are set to 108 inch pounds.
How many miles did oem one last? And also what did you torque the bolts for the pump st the 15mm and 10mm
Thank you very much for making this video you are saving me a lot of money I can't afford a shop right now. Is there a radiator drain bolt down on the corner or did you release a hose or something
I think I removed the lower radiator hose
@@LewsSpeedShop Awesome thank you very much!
@@LewsSpeedShop another question I'm finally doing my water pump today and I'm not sure how much coolant I'll need and can't find the answer anywhere. Should I just keep track of how much drains out in a bucket and put back in that same amount? What did you do?
@@j.m.7514 it takes about 1 and a half gallons
Getting air out is hardest part of job
I am about to change my first water pump and I'm curious what do you mean by that is there anything I should be careful of
how did u take off belt
There is a tensioner pulley that has to be moved to the side in order to release tension on the belt. You can then remove the belt. Look at the manuel for tensioner location
Mind Blown Productions just used my socket ratchet work pretty well just replaced mine..I have a 2014 overland jgc
@@activemotivation4760 how easy was the fix im currenty working on mines 2013
U not cleaning old surface 1st damn boy ac you are lol 😂 be pissed if it was my car
Ok so how much do I pay someone to do this
Everything you need cost under $150 bucks …so if you need the parts the shop is going to charge you like $300 …and then the labor..so it could be anywhere around $300-$475 ….but you can do it yourself for like $150 if you replace the hoses clamps and radiator cap which I recommend that’s all cheap…
Water pump is $80 bucks. A mechanic will charge you over $200 labor & at least $175 for the part if you don’t buy your own. Do it yourself, it’s only about 20 mins.
