I literally dress like this all my life (and I'm not going to change it) and now it's a new hype trend, I'm glad:) I would like to add napapijri, haglöfs and berghaus.
And Wander, White Mountaineering, Roa and The North Face Purple Label got to be my most favourite technical brands through all these years. The quality and style they offer is so good.
Such a ridiculous amount of respect for patagonia and Chouinard for going SO HARD for the environment (even giving the business over to a charity to save the environment)
@@benk9113 i would think that if chouinard hadnt had a very long history of doing his best for the environment etc, tho tbh most of the big brands dont pay much in taxes because in europe/america there are a lot of systems to get around it
the aesthetics that arcteryx brought upon us was mostly thanks to graffiti writers in the pacific northwest in the 90s to stay dry in the rain. other people in the city caught on and other graffiti writers from the east coast took note and got them some arcteryx goretex jacket to paint in rain blizzards etc
I have lived and grown up in Oregon my whole life and had an outdoorsy family. Pretty much everyone here in Central Oregon is especially. It’s been funny seeing this stuff becoming hype beast fashion when every mom and dad in town wears hard shell jackets and dress like they’re ready for a hike and a moments notice. Jim gaffagin even has a bit about how we dress in Oregon 😂 I have a ton of “gore core” I’ve been collecting over the years without even knowing it!
If you're looking for more practical garments, rather than an outdoor fashion show (No shame at all in fashion btw); Rab, Oakley, TNF, OEX, Mountain Hardwear, Berghaus, Black Diamond, Columbia, Fjallraven, Napapijri, Mammut, Mountain Equipment and Montane, along with the mentioned Arcteryx, Patagonia, ACG, and Salomon are my personal picks.
GORP stands for Good Old Raisins and Peanuts... not joking... also Topo Designs and Cotopaxi for recycled backpacks and some cool gear, Outdoor research, Black diamond, Eddie Bauer Ascent for more accessible price points without skimping on tech. Prana makes a great mountain pant w/ the zion stretch, Filson as well as Pendleton are OG's with great classic pieces (maybe neofolk is a better term than gorpcore for these two but still deserve a place on the list). Also get a Melanzana hoodie if you wanna impress all of your friends who are actually hikers, and buy darn tough or smartwool socks pls.
Great list, but I would also add Fjallraven. Great Swedish Outdoors company with high quality gear as well as a real effort on sustainability. We know goretex is absolutely awful for the environment which is ironic since people buy that type of gear to enjoy the outdoors and nature.
Damned kids pushin' up the price of me Brashers! Never see none of 'em near Snowdon, but now me Salomon prices be climbin' like it's mating season or smth...
I just go for Nike ACG & Stone Island so for I have 5 jackets plus a 1 Jordan Gore Tex jacket. This season will be picking up 2 more ACG jackets. Than I will start picking up some of the pants. I have 2 ACG shoes
further, techno scene people made these styles popular more specifically solomon, arcteryx and nike acg. Long story short if you’re not dedicated to hiking, backpacking, graffiti, hip hop or techno/gabber/trance etc you’re posing pretty hard in that arcteryx jacket and solomon shoes haha
@@ДаЭтоя-т8ж a man of honesty 🫱🏾🫲🏼 haha well, IMO, considering the far left advocated for wild and crazy shit that the general public isn’t fond of and my conservative values, I really dislike the left wing. Especially since they’re lying crazy on Meloni lol.. calling her “Mussolini”.. insane lies on lies. It’s really desperate of the establishment media tbh and I’ve followed Trump really closely and seen the lies they’ve made on him. Anyway, those are my 2 cents.
If you don’t actually hike or camp then you shouldn’t be wearing these brands. Full stop. Don’t be a poser lol you are promoting the idea that people should only wear things for aesthetics and not because the clothes genuinely represent their lifestyle. Be better.
GORP: Going Outside Role Play
If u wear any of these brands u have to be able to start a fire with ur bare hands, if u cant do this u are larping

would prada linea rossa be considered gorpcore? especially with such a combination of design and practicality
