UPDATE: Recent patches have changed MU behavior so some of this video may now be out of date
    I did some more testing
    - Locomotives can go anywhere in the consist and be MU'd
    - Direction doesn't matter. It will figure it out based on lead locomotive

Ok, that was going to be my next question - aside from double heading, can you bank or have the train set up to split, with a locomotive at the front of each split section - thanks, for the preemptive reply.
(I guess that means I could stage a banker at Bryson to assist the heavy freight!!)

Looking pretty good. I'm getting the feeling this is going to be like Derail Valley in that it's "gamified" in some places (see: being able to MU steam locos with one person), and in this case focuses more on railroad ops than the actual driving...Which is fine with me, I love complicated locos but I gotta say tending a firebox isn't the most fun thing in a game!

for people who are having issues somewhat the mu at least for me has to be engines right behind another if your pulling cars from lets say interchange if your pulling cars you bought or if your just starting the beginning coach caboose and hopper you can place an engine at the rear and it will work but if your pulling cars from interchange it wont work

That's nice and simple, I did wonder if you'd have to select the MU button on both locos or just the trailing one, so that's a massive help, thanks.

I have issues with selecting other engines to run AI, especially yard. When I take it out of manual to AI moving in yard, it applies brakes instantly. I can’t take the brakes off in AI, but manual I have no issues. What could be causing that? It doesn’t matter which engine I select. They just apply brakes and won’t move unless I have manual control selected

Do you have to have both locomotives back to back for the MU to work, or can the second loco be in the middle of back of the train and MU will still work?
