  • Hey guys I go over a sort of pros and cons list of getting my car after owning it for about 500 miles. Hope you enjoy! Sorry the quality isn’t great. UA-cam really downgrades the quality.

You mentioned wheels it also offers one other wheel as option along with that blazing Orange and living in Canada I do get all the extras but it could be that it’s made here in Alison Ontario 🤔

Interesting. To my knowledge here in the states, it can only come with the matte black wheels.

@@NCLme I just noticed this! Two different options. But they are still the same options as the sport and other civics. It would have been great to have unique wheels only available for the Si that came standard. Nevertheless I think the wheels it comes with are great!

It does have unique paint... Blazing orange.. That's the one I have

I meant for the wheels. If they came with something thats not matte black. Thats also a nice color! Its a color that pops in the sun for sure.

Idk if I should get the new civic si or the new integra , I’m currently riding a civic sport 20’

The Integra has nicer interior but also much more expensive. If you really want the luxury of an Acura then get the Integra. Otherwise they are almost the same car.

I got one 8 mos ago for 32
Dealer says he'll give 37 on it towards 23 Type R (first on list)
    Paid cash, no regrets
Curiously was able to get a Canadian version si on EC USA, heated seats, etc.
    Not a single regret...so far

The MSRP before the stealership scalping fee is fair and expected.
But the markup and those mandatory packages is a ripoff. Even worse is the rip off because the Canadisn spec Si is at an equivalent price lower than the US spec Si, and it has pretty much all of the options and features from the Civic Sport Touring.
If you are an enthusiast, love driving the shifter that is much better than the one in the Sport/Sport Touring Hatchback, are okay with the sedan instead of the hatchback with the added cargo utility, and want a great daily driver more affordable and comfortable than the Type R.
And yes, the Bose Stereo, wireless connectivity and such is a bonus.
I plan on getting a Boost Blue Pearl Civic Sport Hatchback which is more preferable for me. The Si is overkill for me, unless I can have it as a second toy car.
I prefer the CVT, plus the bigger center console storage and cupholder placement. The 2.0L N/A engine has more reliability, dependability and longevity. All the basic goodies without the sunroof, power adjust seats and other things that could cost more to fix down the road.
The Sport Hatchback is much cheaper, so I can spend the difference on accessories, addons, and a nice stereo upgrade to my liking for about $1K.

@@letsgosergio6128 I live in Honolulu, HI, so the cars are usually marked up from the dealer about $3K. I am not sure if they are jacking up the Si more, or the Type R. But, I don't think the Honda dealerships here are as bad adding on these packages, though they all will try to add on certain things. There are several OEM accessories I do want, though don't really want the HPD package for the Sport Hatchback. Maybe if I got the Si.

@@hutzman7664 It's not just dealers that are "greedy", everybody is. If you sold or traded your used vehicle today, you would certainly expect to get today's market value. Which is highly inflated. Same thing the dealer does. The inflated value of your used car should offset the inflated cost of new.

Your SI has 500 miles. Baby it another 100 miles to get out of the break in period.
Yes the back up camera is trash. You showed daytime, but if its nighttime, and dark, you REALLY notice the poor quality camera.
Its rained alot here in Texas lately, backing up I notice the camera lens seems to always be covered with rain drops.
580 miles on my civic. Cant wait to start actually driving her.
The HPD package and blacked out lettering and badges adds a nice touch.

If you are paying mid-$30k for a civic with a manual gearbox and half the options of a touring, you are paying too much and are guilty of letting dealers steal from consumers.
You can always negotiate dealer-installed options you didn't ask for. They are 100% a rip off.
