I am Japanese. I fully agree that the four works you show are masterpieces. But manga still has history, sports, seriousness, art, comedy, and many masterpieces. Osamu Tezuka "Firebird" "Buddha" "Blackjack" Katsuhiro Otomo "AKIRA" "Doum" Akio Chiba, Ikki Kajiwara "Tomorrow's Joe" Hagiomoto "The Poe Clan" Yumiko Oshima "Cotton Country Star" Yoshiharu Tsuge "Screw Type" Sanpei Shirato "Kamui biography" There are many more. I wonder why manga developed so much in Japan. And I am very grateful that I was born in Japan. I hope many manga will be translated. Google Translate I'm sorry in poor English
Man I LOVE Askeladd. What an incredible character from panel 1. This is a great video man. Not to get too personal, but my father past when I was 14 so I can kinda relate in a way as well. Proud to say I own 3/4 masterpieces haha. Monster I'm coming for you next!
InsidiousSwede I want to say thank you watching your videos got me into the greatness known as vinland saga it is in my top three favorite manga of all time but thank you
I agree, when he mentioned the other three I know I had to get Vinland Saga. The only other series that come close to these seinen masterpieces In my opinion are 20th Century Boys, Blade of the Immortal and Lone Wolf & Cub although those series do have a few minor flaws.
If I'm not mistaken, your videos actually persuaded me to pick up Vinland Saga, haha!! I have no regrets. And now, you made me want to read it again!!!!
@-ᴀʟᴀᴋᴏʀᴀᴅɢᴏᴅ- People are so fucking stupid to hate on that arc. Farmland is the best arc in the series, getting to see Thorfinn actually grow as a person and become 'good' is just something that I'm so infatuated with. I really think all the people that dislike farm arc are just stupid shonen fans that can't appreciate a change in pace. Boils my blood, I tell ya
I totally agree with you. I have been dying to get my hands on this manga. It's a bit on the expensive side and I want to get all of them in one shot.. Probably this summer when I get some breathing room. Great work as always insidious
Something I think worth noting (and that I agree with) - The four series you deemed as masterpieces are all seinen. I haven't read that much seinen, only Vinland Saga, one volume of Monster, and a couple chapters of Berserk, but from what I understand they are more story driven and in depth than shonen. This is what makes them masterpieces.
We do our videos on why this series is a masterpiece very differently but share the same opinion in its greatness. Great video as always Swede. Can't wait for volume 9!
Wow, I've been living under a rock because this is the first time I've heard of this series! Looks like I know what part of my next paycheck is going towards, lol! Nice video mate!
One of my favorite panels ever is when thorfinn stands all beat up before canute stating that he has no enemies. Hits different everytime, great video!
Absolutely agree with your list of masterpieces, everyone should read Vinland Saga and the others mangas in your list. People just throw around Calling anything they enjoyed masterpiece, no sweety that's not how the word should be used.
Holy shit! I really have to read Monster now, you just mentioned my top 3 manga of all time and my favorite anime (Ippo). In Vinland saga i only have issues with Canute development but besides that its pretty much flawless. I think ive just found my manga taste soulmate lol. Keep the good videos coming!
I seriously want to jump ino this series, but I am on that Berserk grind at the moment, have to make sure I get all 37 volumes before they go out of print! I'll definitely finish this video when I actually start reading it, which is something I'm excited about. I mean come on, vikings? It has me sold there haha
Loved Vinland saga. If youre looking for another masterpiece of a manga i would recommend Katsuhiro otomo's 'akira'. Might be a bit old at this point but the story and characters are second to none for me. (Also was adapted into what imo is the best anime movie of all time).
Sudden? Huh, I never got that impression. I mean considering his own father basically disowned him, he was on his own with the exception of Ragnar. He was the man who raised Canute, and he was slaughtered by Askelaad. He saw essentially the only man who accepted him get killed. So in order to cope with the loss of Ragnar, he turned to religion like so many do in times of hardship. He found comfort in God, and skewed his words to mean whatever he ultimately wanted. In short, I don't think his character progression was too fast at all.
To me it did feel sudden, that sort of development should take some time, not just one chapter and poof he made a 180 and became a different person. Maybe some think I'm nitpicking, but that's the one issue that I have.
Had to skip some parts at the end of this video since I'm still waiting for my fifth volume, but I definitely agree that Vinland Saga is definitely worthy of a title masterpiece. The brilliance in the writing can be seen just in the first volume and the progression just makes everything better. It's a shame there isn't more people talking of Vinland Saga, since it deserves so much more attention and I just wish people keep buying it so they will keep publishing it. I also love the little commentary Yukimura has at the end of each volume, they are always so much fun to read.
hey if you like vinland saga you should check out the series named kingdom. it's set in 500.b.c durring China's warring states period the fandom is small in the west beacuse of a botched anime version that should not he mentioned in the same breath as the manga. in my opinion kingdom beats out vinland saga and berserk easily. if you like good. manga please give it a try
I agree. Both Kingdom and Vinland Saga share a fascinating, but under-utilized historical backdrop, flawed but developed characters, and rather brutal yet exciting battles. Hopefully, he gets to read through it at some point.
glad to see I own two of the Manga you consider a master piece. Monster and Vagabond (1-11) once I complete gundum origin, the flowers of evil and nuts rise of the yokai clan I will likely either start collecting Vinland saga or slam dunk. I tried reading scans of berserk but the translations where so poor I stopped. now it is in print and easily available again it will be something I start at some point
Ladislav Buzinkai I don’t think so, its a amazing but masterpiece shouldn’t be a title thrown around like that. Some characters don’t feel realistic enough or multilayered
The difference between those 4 masterpieces that insidious mentioned and amazing manga series like Kingdom lies in their protagonist or antagonist or both I mean Monster has a pretty solid protagonist in Dr Tenma ,but Johan is one of the most interesting and originally written antagonists in manga history Vinland Saga has Thorfinn who has amazing character development from a person driven by revenge to a man who doesnt have enemies as he puts it in the Ketil Farm arc...and don't get me even started on Askeladd Vagabond has Musashi(favourite manga character of all time) who has the most philosophical monologues ever and Kojiro has an intriguing backstory as well Berserk has Guts who is trying to search for a purpose in his life except for wielding a sword...Then he develops into a complete psychopath who thrives for vengeance and then he develops into a person who will protect the only thing that he loves and has left ...and then he changes even more to a person who learns how to accept ,care and rely on others again...he also has extra features to his character such as the beast of darkness which makes him constantly interesting For Griffith -just read vol 12 and 13 and you would understand what makes him so compelling and complex However ,Kingdom has Shin .........who is still a decent character ,but really nothing special The villains in Kingdom are good enough, but they don't compare at all the ones I've just listed
@Coammaoc No its not strange, because Inoue presents the character development of Musashi,as you pointed out, through philosophical themes.Shin is at times almost like your typical shounen character.Even if they shared similar goals, its all about how they are written and how the character progression is achieved.About you ranking Kingdom over Berserk-Its your own opinion,I get it.But for me ,Berserk is better, because I find its protagonist and antagonists a lot more interesting than those of Kingdom and in my opinion Berserk has just had higher peaks compared to Kingdom-Vols 3,8,12,13,16,21,22,26,34,40.I hope you understood me.I actually really like Kingdom...Its just that all of those characters that I listed in my previous comment are mostly pro-active,while Shin is often reacting to events. With that being said,The War Coalition Arc is in my top 5 manga arcs of all time.
@Coammaoc Well yeah, but even during the first half of Vagabond Musashi often questions his aims and beliefs. For instance,he becomes doubtful of the concept of being invincible under the sun, when he is reminiscing about his father and how once you reach that level, you develop an obsession and start to live in fear, which leaves you more vulnerable than ever.I am not deliberately underselling it.I think that Kingdom, especially the War Coalition Arc is fantastic. However,I dont think that I can learn something from Kingdom and that for me is yet another criteria for considering a certain piece of literature as a masterpiece. For example, from Vagabond,I learned that I shouldnt be preoccupied towards one aim ,because as Takuan would say i would miss or would not be able to see the entire forest. That combined with the other reasons stated above is why I refuse to call Kingdom a masterpiece. Its just a manga in which realistic human nature cannot be found,at least for me.That could be perfectly confirmed by the first 100 chapters.Maybe I appeared a bit cocky in my first comment, for which I am sorry. However, that is my subjective opinion and I already backed it by using at least 3 different arguments.Again,I hope you understood my point of view. Many people will disagree with me and will actually side with you.If you think my reasons are invalid-fine.Lets call it a day.
#1 LONE WOLF AND CUB (most realistic accurate manga for that era , assassins prostitutes ect. ) #2 Samurai Champloo (Character choreography) #3 Naruto (very long story +10 years still semi going) #4 VinLand Saga( Very short story, read this then watch vikings lol) #5 whatever you like im stoned ,maybe one piece
If you're talking specifically about where I bought Vinland Saga, then it's Amazon. Every VS book I've bought was off their site. But in general, I also use rightstufanime.com. Especially when they are having great sales and discounts.
FUCK ME UP THE ARSE. When you said there are 4 masterpieces I have read. I straight away said them 4 in my head, and as you named them, I said to myself, if he says berserk now I'm going to comment and subscribe because this guys KNOWS! *EDIT* AND THEN YOU SAY HAJIME!!! I love you already.
And "monster" is the only manga i read like watching a phsycological drama movie. yes, not read, but like watch a movie. The flow and stories just awesome.....
it was a great vid .. I just started reading Vinland Saga and I'm just at chapter 73 but this is one of the best manga out there. Character Development is astonishing, and like you pointed out, there is a unique relationship of Characters.. Just Sub to you for more reviews in the future! :)
I want the Berserk manga so badly! But each volume is, like, $13 on Amazon!=( Any who, Monster the anime is freaking amazing and I'll probably pick up the manga version some time next year! The only reason I haven't picked up Vinland Saga yet is because, and Vinland Saga fans who are in the know, did the company behind Vinland cancel is releases? I heard a while back on Crunchyroll somewhere that if the newest release didn't sale that were gonna drop Vinland Saga? All I need is whether they continued or not, and I'll add it to the ever growing list of manga you should own list!
Wow I didnt expect too much when I clicked on this video but after the first 2 minutes you already impressed me The only Manga I would call masterpiece are Vagabond Monster Berserk Vinland One Piece So we have quite a lot in common, and as you start talking about Hajime no Ippo ... as you can see I am a huge fan of this manga but I agree, still no masterpiece tho compared to the other series you listed !
I found vinland saga brilliant and more realistic than berserk, although berserk sucked me in pretty good , and vagabond yeah is a masterpiece, art story everything
Just finished all of the vinland saga in one go the other day. Fucking hell, they get all the stereotypical shitty light novels into anime but they can't get this masterpiece into anime? Like what the hell, why all these great mangas all have no or very awful adaptations. I haven't read vagabond or monster, but this really is the closest thing I can think of to berserker in terms of scale, quality of story and artwork. In my personal opinion, I would even say this is better than the Netflix Vikings in a lot of ways, and I think this totally deserves an international series by Netflix.
dammit! I finished this manga. The first one and I had to convince my mom to buy it for me because I did not have my money with me. I kinda whined after it because I wanted MORE
My optimism for this is very low. Dont want another Beserk abomination. And Vinland saga has some very striking art that will be hard to properly adapt. Just like Beserk (and we all know how that turned out)
thorfinn has the best character development
Fact, probably the best in any manga
I am Japanese.
I fully agree that the four works you show are masterpieces.
But manga still has history, sports, seriousness, art, comedy, and many masterpieces.
Osamu Tezuka "Firebird" "Buddha" "Blackjack"
Katsuhiro Otomo "AKIRA" "Doum"
Akio Chiba, Ikki Kajiwara "Tomorrow's Joe"
Hagiomoto "The Poe Clan"
Yumiko Oshima "Cotton Country Star"
Yoshiharu Tsuge "Screw Type"
Sanpei Shirato "Kamui biography"
There are many more.
I wonder why manga developed so much in Japan.
And I am very grateful that I was born in Japan.
I hope many manga will be translated.

Thanks for sharing JAC. Looking forward to your thoughts on Monster!
InsidiousSwede I want to say thank you watching your videos got me into the greatness known as vinland saga it is in my top three favorite manga of all time but thank you
KidNamedJAC I love my boy Thorkell he’s a overpowered nigga
The character development is incredible in this series
Agreed! Its my absolute favorite in any manga!
InsidiousSwede berserk for me but this is a close second
I got chills when you mentioned your four series you consider to be a masterpiece agree 100% with your picks!
Yeah cannot go wrong with any of them!
it's funny, I'd pick exactly the same manga as my "masterpieces"
Those are literally the only manga volumes i own. Vinland Saga, Monster, Vagabond and Berserk.
Nice! I always love to hear that I got someone into Vinland Saga!
I agree it is a masterpiece!!!!....even Farmland Saga
@-ᴀʟᴀᴋᴏʀᴀᴅɢᴏᴅ- People are so fucking stupid to hate on that arc. Farmland is the best arc in the series, getting to see Thorfinn actually grow as a person and become 'good' is just something that I'm so infatuated with. @Kirtan Patel Completely agree. Fantastic arc that makes Vinland Saga what it is.
But it's trash after that.
i get chills when askeladd was standing in that pillar in valhalla and telling thorfinn to fight for your true battles best fcking thing
@@massivegat5087 I'm never EVER gonna hate on the arc where Thorfinn finally learned to smile and laugh again
Yes it is!!
I totally agree with you. I have been dying to get my hands on this manga. It's a bit on the expensive side and I want to get all of them in one shot.. Probably this summer when I get some breathing room. Great work as always insidious

i read from chapter 1- latest in 5 days. i'm really hooked with the story also the character development of canute is off the charts ! lol
hey, if i watched the anime you think I should read the manga from the very beginning or can I just continue where the anime left off?
One of my favorite panels ever is when thorfinn stands all beat up before canute stating that he has no enemies. Hits different everytime, great video!
just started monster so good!
Just picked up vol 1 looks awesome !!
yo ..who watch this video on januari 2020 ?.. the anime of this masterpiece is sugggoooooiiii
The only manga i read repeatedly six times from start to the end?
"EYESHIELD 21"
Absolutely agree with your list of masterpieces, everyone should read Vinland Saga and the others mangas in your list. People just throw around Calling anything they enjoyed masterpiece, no sweety that's not how the word should be used.
definitely a masterpiece! nearly, if not all, the arcs in the series were amazing, but the ketil farm arc was one fo the best i've ever read
Aye, definitely a favorite.
Recently started reading Vagabond and Vinland Saga they're both amazing love the character progression in both series :D
Holy shit! I really have to read Monster now, you just mentioned my top 3 manga of all time and my favorite anime (Ippo). In Vinland saga i only have issues with Canute development but besides that its pretty much flawless.
I think ive just found my manga taste soulmate lol. Keep the good videos coming!
damn it someone beat me to making an anime/ manga series on vikings in Newfoundland... shit I've got to stick with my guts and make it still
I agreed with you even before I clicked on the video! Vinland Saga is the greatest manga ever written!
I finally started reading Vinland saga! Your video got me interested in the series. I really like it so far so I might pick up the hardcover books 😊
i agree with all of them except Kingdom is on my nub 1 list and you really should try it if u already didnt
It's my favorite Manga. Not only is it a masterpiece, but I prefer its look.
Have you read mobile suit gundam the origin? Your masterpiece list will change a little once you complete it
Great Manga and Great channel
You are a man after my own heart. Amazing
I seriously want to jump ino this series, but I am on that Berserk grind at the moment, have to make sure I get all 37 volumes before they go out of print! I'll definitely finish this video when I actually start reading it, which is something I'm excited about. I mean come on, vikings? It has me sold there haha
From what I've read of it already - the first volumes worth - I already love it :D Can't wait to read more
Im starting v1 of Vinland saga tonight!!
Im in the UK we get these volumes alot later than you.
Il reply my thoughts when finished.
Thumbs up
Have fun Lucas! Its going to be a crazy ride!
askeladd the madlad
Loved Vinland saga. If youre looking for another masterpiece of a manga i would recommend Katsuhiro otomo's 'akira'. Might be a bit old at this point but the story and characters are second to none for me. (Also was adapted into what imo is the best anime movie of all time).
I love Vinland Saga and its my favorite manga of all time. My only problem with it is, the transition of Canute's character, feels a bit too sudden.
Sudden? Huh, I never got that impression. I mean considering his own father basically disowned him, he was on his own with the exception of Ragnar. He was the man who raised Canute, and he was slaughtered by Askelaad. He saw essentially the only man who accepted him get killed. One chapter? What are you talking about? The entire Ketil Farm Arc was dedicated to Thorfinn finding out who needs to become.
What are you talking about mate? I was talking about Canute's development, not Thorfinn's.
Ah sorry. Still one chapter?
Had to skip some parts at the end of this video since I'm still waiting for my fifth volume, but I definitely agree that Vinland Saga is definitely worthy of a title masterpiece. The brilliance in the writing can be seen just in the first volume and the progression just makes everything better. Ira S come back when u have read vol 5 and 6
I shall. There wasn't too much I couldn't watch but I'll definitely check the rest after I've read further.
Ira S best arc imo
Read 5 books. One of the best ever imo
Animelytical yea 5 and 6 are crazy good
hey if you like vinland saga you should check out the series named kingdom. it's set in 500.b.c durring China's warring states period the fandom is small in the west beacuse of a botched anime version that should not he mentioned in the same breath as the manga. in my opinion kingdom beats out vinland saga and berserk easily. if you like good. manga please give it a try
I agree. Both Kingdom and Vinland Saga share a fascinating, but under-utilized historical backdrop, flawed but developed characters, and rather brutal yet exciting battles. Hopefully, he gets to read through it at some point.
Solaris290 i just hope that it becomes popular over here in the west. more people need to know the greatness of kingdom
Michael Michael Nothing beats Berserk "easily".
Kingdom will probably need another 10 yrs to be complete. Shin is not even a General yet.
glad to see I own two of the Manga you consider a master piece. Monster and Vagabond (1-11) once I complete gundum origin, the flowers of evil and nuts rise of the yokai clan I will likely either start collecting Vinland saga or slam dunk. I tried reading scans of berserk but the translations where so poor I stopped. now it is in print and easily available again it will be something I start at some point
war in the baltic is my favorite arc of this saga and he is so good
Kingdom is a fking masterpiece
Man I wish we could get an English release! Kingdom alone makes me want to learn Japanese lol.
Ladislav Buzinkai I don’t think so, its a amazing but masterpiece shouldn’t be a title thrown around like that. Some characters don’t feel realistic enough or multilayered
The difference between those 4 masterpieces that insidious mentioned and amazing manga series like Kingdom lies in their protagonist or antagonist or both
I mean Monster has a pretty solid protagonist in Dr Tenma ,but Johan is one of the most interesting and originally written antagonists in manga history
Vinland Saga has Thorfinn who has amazing character development from a person driven by revenge to a man who doesnt have enemies as he puts it in the Ketil Farm arc...and don't get me even started on Askeladd
Vagabond has Musashi(favourite manga character of all time) who has the most philosophical monologues ever and Kojiro has an intriguing backstory as well
Berserk has Guts who is trying to search for a purpose in his life except for wielding a sword...Then he develops into a complete psychopath who thrives for vengeance and then he develops into a person who will protect the only thing that he loves and has left ...and then he changes even more to a person who learns how to accept ,care and rely on others again...he also has extra features to his character such as the beast of darkness which makes him constantly interesting
For Griffith -just read vol 12 and 13 and you would understand what makes him so compelling and complex
However ,Kingdom has Shin .........who is still a decent character ,but really nothing special
The villains in Kingdom are good enough, but they don't compare at all the ones I've just listed
@Coammaoc
No its not strange, because Inoue presents the character development of Musashi,as you pointed out, through philosophical themes.Shin is at times almost like your typical shounen character.Even if they shared similar goals, its all about how they are written and how the character progression is achieved.About you ranking Kingdom over Berserk-Its your own opinion,I get it.But for me ,Berserk is better, because I find its protagonist and antagonists a lot more interesting than those of Kingdom and in my opinion Berserk has just had higher peaks compared to Kingdom-Vols 3,8,12,13,16,21,22,26,34,40.I hope you understood me.I actually really like Kingdom...Its just that all of those characters that I listed in my previous comment are mostly pro-active,while Shin is often reacting to events. With that being said,The War Coalition Arc is in my top 5 manga arcs of all time.
@Coammaoc
Well yeah, but even during the first half of Vagabond Musashi often questions his aims and beliefs.
#1 LONE WOLF AND CUB (most realistic accurate manga for that era , assassins prostitutes ect. )
#2 Samurai Champloo (Character choreography)
#3 Naruto (very long story +10 years still semi going)
#4 VinLand Saga( Very short story, read this then watch vikings lol)
#5 whatever you like im stoned ,maybe one piece
I'll soon pick it up
😂😂😂
Damn shame you can't find Ippo books in english. Been meaning to read Vinlad Saga though, so thanks for this helpful video.
Really nice review ! Do you know any other manga I could like if I loved Vinland Saga ?
Yeah, here are a few that you would enjoy if you love Vinland Saga: Vagabond, Blade of the Immortal, Planetes, Shaman Warrior, and Lone Wolf & Cub.
Great video idea! Are you going to do this for the other 'masterpieces' you mentioned?
I'm about to read vinland saga again thanks to you swede
Nice, where did you originally stop?
InsidiousSwede volume 7, I don't have 8 yet. I want to get 8 then start over
Ever read Historie from the creator of Parasyte? Awesome historical mangá about the life of Eumenes, one of the main advisors of Alexander the great.
…My god your edition of VS is gorgeous. ô.Ô
Was that Minato from Naruto in the first book you showed?
Where do you buy the manga books? Id love to buy it Subbed.
If you're talking specifically about where I bought Vinland Saga, then it's Amazon. Every VS book I've bought was off their site. But in general, I also use rightstufanime.com. Especially when they are having great sales and discounts.
Oh boy, what were your thoughts on Ippo 1202?
Cough cough
goodnight punpun
cough cough
does anyone know if they cancelled the manga series?
Is this better than the Elric series.
Sadly could not get into it ill try it again later
FUCK ME UP THE ARSE. When you said there are 4 masterpieces I have read. I straight away said them 4 in my head, and as you named them, I said to myself, if he says berserk now I'm going to comment and subscribe because this guys KNOWS!
*EDIT* AND THEN YOU SAY HAJIME!!! I love you already.
Did you play civilization 5?
' LONG WOLF AND CUB ''
SUPERIOR TO ALL YOU HAVE SHOWN HERE
I couldn't agree more👌🏾
Agreed that Vinland Saga is one of few masterpieces. I'd also name Monster and Berserk and add Holyland. Haven't read Vagabond yet.
Please make a dedicated video for 20th Century boys.please
And here i'm not the only one thinking "kingdom" is one of the masterpiece as well. It is as great as vinland saga. Shin and thorfinn just badass!
What about Fist of the North Star masterpiece and they deserve a 10 out of 10 Amazing Story/ great art style
check out kingdom
And "monster" is the only manga i read like watching a phsycological drama movie. yes, not read, but like watch a movie. The flow and stories just awesome.....
in which volume you have catch up?
XPolaXMonTageX volume 8 is the most recent
for me kindgom is a masterpiece.
Kong Fuzi just finished it a fucking masterpiece
it was a great vid .. I just started reading Vinland Saga and I'm just at chapter 73 but this is one of the best manga out there. Character Development is astonishing, and like you pointed out, there is a unique relationship of Characters.. Just Sub to you for more reviews in the future! :)
All good but berserk is number one for me.
dam right! Its the same for me too
berserk trash
i wont know what to do if kodansha ever quit printing vinland saga before a conclusion
Yeah I'd be crushed. That's why we have to keep buying the volumes new to keep the series in print!
waiting for book 11 :D
put blade of the immortal on your manga list too
After reading the comments I feel like I'm not lonely anymore... For a few minutes
Vinland Saga is Lit!
Perfect
i would agree with master piece list
I want the Berserk manga so badly! But each volume is, like, $13 on Amazon!=( Any who, Monster the anime is freaking amazing and I'll probably pick up the manga version some time next year! The only reason I haven't picked up Vinland Saga yet is because, and Vinland Saga fans who are in the know, did the company behind Vinland cancel is releases? I heard a while back on Crunchyroll somewhere that if the newest release didn't sale that were gonna drop Vinland Saga? All I need is whether they continued or not, and I'll add it to the ever growing list of manga you should own list!
nice vid
Love love love the manga
Wow I didnt expect too much when I clicked on this video but after the first 2 minutes you already impressed me
The only Manga I would call masterpiece are
Vagabond
Monster
Berserk
Vinland
One Piece
So we have quite a lot in common, and as you start talking about Hajime no Ippo ... as you can see I am a huge fan of this manga but I agree, still no masterpiece tho compared to the other series you listed !
Thanks man I appreciate the kind words, and welcome to the channel :)
If only the updates were more frequent :'(
I found vinland saga brilliant and more realistic than berserk, although berserk sucked me in pretty good , and vagabond yeah is a masterpiece, art story everything
Berserk
Just finished all of the vinland saga in one go the other day. Fucking hell, they get all the stereotypical shitty light novels into anime but they can't get this masterpiece into anime? Like what the hell, why all these great mangas all have no or very awful adaptations. I haven't read vagabond or monster, but this really is the closest thing I can think of to berserker in terms of scale, quality of story and artwork. In my personal opinion, I would even say this is better than the Netflix Vikings in a lot of ways, and I think this totally deserves an international series by Netflix.
dont forget his relationship with hild
I was going to watch this but I have not read any Vinland Saga.
Ty Lion dont watch !
Have you read 20th Century Boys? In my opinion, that is the greatest masterpiece I've ever read.
Apparently it might get an anime 😁
dammit! I finished this manga. The first one and I had to convince my mom to buy it for me because I did not have my money with me. I kinda whined after it because I wanted MORE
You are missing Gunnm, and GANTZ
Well Vinland saga is a masterpiece.... But it varies what stories are the standard as far as masterpieces... it depends on a persons taste
its not spell askalad its asiradha
Vinland saga Anime confirmed!!!!!!
is this the real life?
Okabe Rintaro *What a time to be alive!*
My optimism for this is very low. Dont want another Beserk abomination. And Vinland saga has some very striking art that will be hard to properly adapt. Just like Beserk (and we all know how that turned out)
NegaChrome It's being developed by wit studios (AoT creators) so I think it's safe to say it will be good.
I still call Thorfinn a bitch for working for a man who brutalized his father. Didn't like Thorfinn at all till the farm arc :/
tyvm for the vinland saga spoilers smh
Hajime no ippo 💪💪
i actually grew tired of hajime no ippo many years ago, when ippo lost (again, against the mexican 2nd in comand and to RESTART everything again)
