Nice to get to see your process, bro!
Thanks for sharing.
G&L rules big time!
Love this LB-100
I thought I was the only one who was tracking bass with headphones.
When I'm recording bass(mostly metal) I use a di and a tech 21 psa 2.
The di is ony for reamping(almost never),editing and side chain gate.
The psa 2 is my main sound (using preset 47 with less gain due to active bass)
The bass I use is a peavy cirus(indonesia) with ermie ball round cobalts
Hi Ivan, great video as always! I’d have a question. Would you recommend playing the full track from the beginning till the end when recording? Or how do you handle complex songs with lots of parts? Do you record section for section in this case? Thank you and cheers from Munich. Damir
I usually try to record full takes of songs and only punch in when necessary. This gives the track some more live and consistent performance dynamics. It can sound a bit “choppy” if you punch in too much.

I thought reamping meant using a "real" amp out of the DAW send and then go back to the DAW return after the sound has been processed in the real amp. But it seems you consider uing an amp simul is reamping too.
In theory, yes. You take the DI signal and put it through a different amp.
I’m doing the same process, but “in-the-box”. It’s easier and gives you some more flexibility.
Sometimes I do record my mic’d up cabinet, though.
