A vote for third party is now a strategic vote to make a difference in the two party system that has changed radically in that the two parties are not paying attention to the needs of the average American and only follow the dicta of the monied classes who ensure their donations make them win to do their bidding. we now have puppet masters who give huge amounts of money to candidates on both sides. Please use your vote for the sake of your children and grandchildren so a new system emerges that will be more responsive to the needs of the average citizens. So don’t be disheartened about voting in Trump by voting for the Green Party. We can take in some discomfort now for a brighter future! Your vote is strategic. Dear brother, I appreciate your genuine concern for the Ummah and your efforts to discuss the important issue of political engagement in Islam. Please allow me to address each point with sincerity, wisdom, and from an Islamic perspective rooted in the teachings of various scholars. Medina Islamic State vs. Current Systems: It is essential to understand that while Medina was an ideal Islamic state, we are living in a different reality today. The principles of the Medina state-justice, mercy, and the implementation of Allah's law-are timeless. However, the methodology to achieve this must be adapted to current contexts. We should strive to engage in Da’wah and political participation wherever possible to build the foundations for an Islamic system. The Prophet (peace be upon him) established treaties, such as Hudaybiyyah, which demonstrated his pragmatic approach to achieve long-term goals. Similarly, we can work within democratic frameworks, without compromising Islamic values, to build a society that aligns with Shari'ah. Democracy and Corruption: While I agree that many systems today are corrupt, we cannot disregard democracy entirely if it offers opportunities for Muslims to represent their values. If Muslims work to elect leaders who adhere to Islamic values and prioritize justice, we can minimize harm and contribute to the betterment of society. Legislation that goes against Islamic principles should indeed be challenged, but engagement in the political system is part of the Islamic obligation of enjoining good (ma'roof) and forbidding evil (munkar). Muslims in the West: Isolation or complete rejection of the political system is not the prophetic method. Islam promotes active participation in society. The Prophet (peace be upon him) engaged with non-Muslims, signed treaties, and worked within existing systems for the greater good of the Ummah. We must engage politically, present Islam’s solutions, and expose the injustices of treacherous regimes and Western policies when necessary. We are called to bring forward the message of Islam with wisdom (hikmah) and good speech (Qur’an 16:125). Hudaybiyyah and Today’s Systems: Hudaybiyyah was a peace treaty that benefited Muslims and opened the doors for the spread of Islam. It was a pragmatic and wise political move. Likewise, Muslims today can engage in treaties, diplomacy, and political agreements if they serve the interests of Islam and the Ummah. However, as you rightly said, it is important not to compromise the core values of Islamic governance. Hijrah and Islamic State: The transition from the pre-Islamic state to the Islamic state of Medina was indeed a movement from falsehood to truth. But the Prophet (peace be upon him) never abandoned the wisdom of working with non-Muslim tribes and entities when it served the greater cause of Islam. Political engagement in today’s world is not a betrayal of Islamic principles, as long as the intention remains to serve the Ummah and the laws of Allah. The ultimate goal remains the establishment of a just society, whether through democratic means or otherwise. In conclusion, my dear brother, my sincere opinion is that Islamic political engagement is essential. We cannot withdraw from the political arena, leaving it to those who will harm the Ummah. We must strive to implement Islamic values through wisdom, unity, and active participation, . My intention is pure, and I am not seeking personal gain, but rather, I care deeply for the future of the Ummah and its rightful place in the world. May Allah guide us to the best course of action, and may our efforts be solely for His pleasure.
Thank you for your reply . I deeply respect your sincerity, and I understand the concerns you’ve raised. However, I believe that political engagement, including within democratic systems, can be a part of a modern Islamic strategy for establishing a just system based on Shari'ah, and this is rooted in the teachings of both classical and modern scholars. Democracy and Islamic Governance: While democracy as practiced in much of the world today may be flawed, rejecting all forms of political engagement outright is not necessarily in line with Islamic principles. Islamic governance has always been adaptable to the context and time. Even Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA), during his caliphate, introduced administrative innovations that were not present during the Prophet's time but were necessary for the growth of the Islamic state. Similarly, modern thinkers and scholars advocate for political engagement as a means to advance Islam, particularly in the absence of a Khilafah. Democracy can be used as a tool to choose righteous leadership, as long as it remains grounded in Islamic values. Da’wah and Engagement: Da’wah is about inviting people to Islam, and one of the most effective ways of doing so is through political engagement that models Islamic values. Yes, we should promote a pure Islamic system, but that does not mean isolating ourselves from the political systems that exist today. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) demonstrated pragmatism in his interactions with various political entities, including the treaties he made with non-Muslim tribes. The goal was always the protection and establishment of Islam. We can learn from that example to strategically participate in democracy where it serves the Ummah’s interests, as long as we adhere to Islamic ethics. Muslim Engagement in the West: Muslims in the West should not only engage in Da’wah but also in political processes to influence policy in ways that benefit the Ummah. Refusing to engage leaves the system entirely in the hands of those who may work against Islamic interests. This is why scholars like Shaikh Dr. Yasir Qadhi have encouraged Muslims to participate in politics, even in non-Muslim countries, to ensure that Muslim communities are represented and protected. The Prophetic Method and Khilafah: Establishing the Khilafah is indeed a noble goal, but we must recognize that the prophetic method involved building alliances, treaties, and participating in the societal structures of the time. The notion that we must reject the political systems of today and remain passive until Khilafah is established is not practical. The Hudaybiyyah Treaty, for example, was a strategic political agreement that the Prophet (peace be upon him) made, showing that political pragmatism can coexist with Islamic ideals. Today’s political landscape requires similar wisdom and strategic engagement. Modern Context and Shari'ah: Islamic scholars across time, emphasized that the application of Shari'ah must adapt to the times and context. The call to reject democracy outright ignores the fact that political systems can be utilized to further Islamic objectives. We are not compromising Islam by participating in democratic processes; instead, we are using the system available to promote justice, fairness, and Islamic values. The modern scholars understand that establishing Khilafah requires modern strategies-including participation in elections, media, and education-guided by Shari’ah. In conclusion, my point is not about compromising Islamic values but about applying Islamic principles in a way that suits the modern context. The Khilafah is indeed the ideal system, but using democratic processes to promote Islamic leadership is a strategic choice. My intention is sincere, and it is not for personal gain or fame. It is based on Ijtihad, considering the current reality and the needs of the Ummah. We must engage the world as it is today, working within the system to change it for the better, as our ultimate goal is always to establish justice and the law of Allah.
Can she stop genocide? She most of the time sides with Russia and doest say much to Trump and Republican party who have been hostile to Muslims. I suppose you all want Trump to win who is openly biased to Muslims.
To respond effectively to the statement "The person who claims that Islam can be effectively brought about through democracy demonstrates a lack of understanding of Islam as a unique political system," we must carefully address the misconceptions while clarifying the relationship between Islam and democracy. My Reply as follows : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. It's important to clarify that when we talk about democracy within an Islamic context, we are not suggesting that Islamic principles or Shariah should be subjected to majority votes or changing whims of the people. The core beliefs, values, and laws of Islam are divinely revealed and non-negotiable. However, democracy as a process-specifically the mechanisms for selecting leaders, resolving disputes, and governing society-can coexist with Islam, provided that the Islamic framework remains intact. Democracy as a Process, Not as Legislation-Making Authority: In Islam, the sovereignty belongs to Allah alone, and the Shariah is the ultimate legal framework. However, democracy can be a practical process for selecting leaders and organizing governance. For instance, Shura (consultation) is a core Islamic principle where community leaders are chosen through consultation. Modern democratic elections can serve as an extended form of Shura, allowing the Ummah (Muslim community) to choose competent leaders who implement Islamic laws. War and Electoral Processes-Different Methods, Same Goal: In the early days of Islam, the spread of Islam and the establishment of an Islamic state sometimes involved battles and military efforts, as we saw during the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him). However, history also provides examples of peaceful methods for the establishment of Islamic governance. Today, in the modern context, where wars and armed conflicts are not feasible or desirable, political participation through democratic processes can be another means to achieve Islamic objectives. The essence of the matter is achieving justice, governance by Shariah, and Islamic principles; the methods can vary based on the context. Islamic Governance Through Majority Will: Once an Islamic government is established, the rule of law does not change with majority opinion. The Qur'an and Sunnah are the sources of law, and they remain unchanged. The role of the people, through democratic processes, is in the administration and implementation of those laws, not in changing divine laws. This is a key distinction that many critics overlook. The idea that democracy automatically means changing the essence of Islam is a misunderstanding of how Islamic governance can work in a democratic structure. Avoiding the Dictatorship Trap: Ironically, the outright rejection of democracy has often been promoted by dictatorial regimes in the Muslim world. Many Middle Eastern countries claim that Islam rejects democracy, but in reality, this is used as a pretext to avoid accountability and maintain authoritarian rule. Islam encourages justice, consultation, and accountability. Therefore, rejecting democracy altogether often plays into the hands of those who wish to stifle the voices of Muslims who demand better governance, justice, and Islamic values in public life. In conclusion, Muslims must understand that political systems like democracy, as a process, can be adapted within an Islamic framework to achieve the goals of Shariah. It’s not about replacing Islamic laws with man-made laws, but about selecting leaders and administrators who will uphold Islam. Let us not fall into the trap set by those who misuse the rejection of democracy to justify oppression and authoritarianism. May Allah guide us all to the straight path.

1. If independent receive over 25 % of the votes and lose the race we the people win
2. It will prove Muslims have a voice to both democrats and republicans
Indeed. She also talked about, whatever is happening in Pakistan is because of this US current regime.

Remember your children are not moving to your country of origin. So please engage. Make a long term contribution to the development of the polity.

Thanks for this conversation
Thank you for your reply . I deeply respect your sincerity, and I understand the concerns you’ve raised. However, I believe that political engagement, including within democratic systems, can be a part of a modern Islamic strategy for establishing a just system based on Shari'ah, and this is rooted in the teachings of both classical and modern scholars.
Democracy and Islamic Governance:
While democracy as practiced in much of the world today may be flawed, rejecting all forms of political engagement outright is not necessarily in line with Islamic principles.
Da’wah and Engagement:
Da’wah is about inviting people to Islam, and one of the most effective ways of doing so is through political engagement that models Islamic values.
Muslim Engagement in the West:
Muslims in the West should not only engage in Da’wah but also in political processes to influence policy in ways that benefit the Ummah.
The Prophetic Method and Khilafah:
Establishing the Khilafah is indeed a noble goal, but we must recognize that the prophetic method involved building alliances, treaties, and participating in the societal structures of the time.
Modern Context and Shari'ah:
Islamic scholars across time, emphasized that the application of Shari'ah must adapt to the times and context.
PLEASE VOTE FOR JILL STEIN

Than you Dr. Yasir an eye opening speech
To respond effectively to the statement "The person who claims that Islam can be effectively brought about through democracy demonstrates a lack of understanding of Islam as a unique political system," we must carefully address the misconceptions while clarifying the relationship between Islam and democracy.
My Reply as follows :
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Democracy as a Process, Not as Legislation-Making Authority:
In Islam, the sovereignty belongs to Allah alone, and the Shariah is the ultimate legal framework.
War and Electoral Processes-Different Methods, Same Goal:
In the early days of Islam, the spread of Islam and the establishment of an Islamic state sometimes involved battles and military efforts, as we saw during the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
Islamic Governance Through Majority Will:
Once an Islamic government is established, the rule of law does not change with majority opinion.
Avoiding the Dictatorship Trap:
Ironically, the outright rejection of democracy has often been promoted by dictatorial regimes in the Muslim world.
Alhamdulillah. Also jazakumullah kahiran for both sheks.
