Watch_Dogs is underrated and a generally fun open world game with a great recreation of Chicago. The city at night looks awesome. The ability to control the environment was fun, great on foot controls, cool weapons, challenging missions. Open world is a genre, of which GTA helped create. Cars, on foot, open exploration, action are traits of the genre.
Gotta be impressed, something special about this game...

Kind of doesn't make sense that if you kill a player character while attempting a hack, the hack fails. You killed him... you didn't kill his phone. You should still be able to continue to hack the phone beside his dead body.
otherwise people wouldn't attempt to hack, they would just kill straight away.

2012 E3 demo was run on a 680 GTX -3 TFLOPS to the PS4s 1.84 TFLOPS
firebirdx01 from what I have seen so far the specs of the PS4's graphics card are really close to those of a Radeon HD 7850 a card totally inferior to a GTX 680.Also not everything is about TFLOPS.

One of the big advantages of being me is that you never get sucked into any kind of hype, which means you get to see movies and judge them unbiased, develop a very own musical taste and experience a game like Watchdogs as an *actually pretty decent game* instead of a disappointment with a graphics downgrade!

***** I disagree. The on-foot controls are fluent and intuitive, the Sandbox is fun to screw around in, the camera aspect is pretty unique, the Story isn't half bad and the graphics look really damn impressive, despite the downgrade!
That being said, the Vehicles handle like ass, Aiden is a bad character, it's too easy to die in a shootout and the Online stuff can get mildly annoying.
Overall, when you would tell me that it's terrible compared to what it promised to be, I'd have to say you're right. Does it live up to the hype that i didn't have to begin with? No. But despite this, It's *not bad*. Definitely no GOTY-candidate, but it's okay.

the difference in graphic fidelity is because this is on PS4, the E3 version was on a high end PC, hence the better graphics.

The cars and the driving did not look good at all, but the rest looks *epic*! Getting this for sure.
I think the cars looked amazing however you're right on the driving, it makes me feel like the guy either didn't know how to drive, or I need to commit suicide because the perfect game I was looking for has terrible driving mechanics.

Sadly Watch Dogs is incredibly repetitive, dull and is absolutely not challenging. On top of that, it simply lacks in certain aspects (the whole hacking/stealth thing being harder than just go guns blazing, little damage model for vehicles, little gameworld interaction--> Already GTA IV did better in this regard).
I'm glad I didn't buy it and only took it from a mate. It could have been a good game but they once again watered it down too much in order to appeal as many people as possible.
Let me fix your examples for you. Gameplay like Tetris, Final Fantasy 6, metal gear solid, and lastly Animal Crossing. That covered most genres

I don't know what you're talking about. It looks way better on my rig and I don't even play it with ultra settings and high quality textures. It certainly does not look as good as the 2012 E3 demo, but that was only showcase material built on PC for that very event. At that time they did not have the open world fully built and they had no idea what the next gen consoles would be able to take. It's a nice looking game, not ground braking but still very good. I enjoy the hell out of it.

It is basically! It's set in the same universe... but they're two different stories though. There's an email in Black Flag basically from the Bloom corp asking abstergo to use their cTOS. :)
Of course even down at the studio office all admitted it's a modern take of assassins creed but hey why not have something that takes technology to a whole new level, it's good to have a change once in a while without having super agility special powers in most games lately, can not wait!

The most rewarded game in gaming history only ran at 720p & 30 f/ps. The game - The Last of Us. Its the most rewarded b/c of the gameplay n story. People seem to forget that essentially those are the only things that matter. N this game a lot of potential in both categories.
Only this one will be on PC. If Watch Dogs lives up to the hype, it will be best on PC hands down.

I can see the term "hacking" is used very loosely in this game. Also the car physics remind me of gta 3 on the ps2. Other than that though it looks like a solid game so i'll get it on piratebay and if i like it i'll buy it.

Taziod I like to try before i buy. Unfortunately that isn't supported in the capitalistic world of blockbuster games so i go to piratebay to try it first and if i think it's a good game then i'll buy it. I'm not gonna give away my hard earned money just to find out the game is a pile of shit. That's just stupid and it only serves to encourage game studios to pump out more games that are not worth a second of mine or anyones time. First I was thinking; This doesn't seem much different from GTA 5 (and the graphics aren't miles better) but then you see that pretty much every NPC can become a mini mission, and then the shop keeper recognising you from a news report, then another player dropping seamlessly into your game, and then you being able to drop into his and exact revenge! Appears that the depth and width of gameplay is what has expanded here and, I don't know about anyone else, but that's what I want to see more than anything in the next gen. The graphics should be taken for granted that they'll be better on whichever system - it's time for depth of gameplay to be number 1 priority.
campaign was very fun although, after i was done with it, i was bored out of my mind. I did all the DLC stuff that comes with the pre-order but, it's still boring. i do cop shootouts drive around and ramp stairs, play online ( even though it sucks ). i got so bored i did most of the campaign again on realistic... i think i might just get my 20$ from it and trade it in to go towards GTAV for ps4. am i th e only one who feels like this about the game?

Video games have come so far since I was in high school 15 years ago. This game looks super fresh! I know I'm not a Master Gamer, but I think this game is crazy! Ive been waiting so long for ps4 to come out!
It looks good and games have come far, but super fresh? Hardly. This is like a cross between modern Splinter Cell and GTA mechanics with a very unoriginal storyline. Nevertheless a game interesting enough to play it. I think The Division (or whatever it's called) is a bit more of what this game wanted to be. :)

Looks like a great game. Stunning graphics. It's still too early to tell if there is as much to do in this game as there is in the gta series. A game can fall flat if it gets too repetitive too fast. I hope this game succeeds. If it does, it could mean that both series, Watch Dogs and GTA have healthy competition that in the end will benefit the players.
I had to do a line to keep from falling asleep watching this. Is this really the definition of a fun game now?
Think of it like an MMORPG. Boring to watch, but fun to play. There is so much to explore, the screw around factor has to be insane. This feels almost like a more indepth GTA to me.

God this game is gonna be so good, at least from what I've seen. I think the only thing I'll find annoying is the whole "2nd player jumping in your game" thing. You play a single-player game to play by YOURSELF, and the fact that a person can just jump in randomly during a session a fuck with you is a little annoying. What if you're stuck in a story mission or your in a chase with an NPC and some doofus comes along and hacks you? I know it's behind the whole idea of an everchanging world, but if people can do this as often as they want to, we'll be seeing a lot of people getting pissed off by it.
I suppose an option for allowing players in a game would suffice. It's not like the 2nd player thing is something that's required, as it seems to just be a completely optional thing.
Its gonna be cut down like Ubisoft did with Far Cry 3. Also when you think of AC4 bad optimizations. Watchdogs just gonna be the same lolol. Cut down and bad porting, 30fps gaming on PC.

I know what you mean, especially for an open world. If it could have GTA's driving it would be cool.
Yeah it looks like they are steering with the d-pad instead of analog stick. but the game is made for walking and jumping around hacking stuff, so I think the driving isn't such a big deal, but I could be wrong. And if you don't like driving just walk from point A to B, it will take a awful long time but the positive thing is that you wont beat the game in one day.
Developers wanted to make another driver serie and they made better driving mechanics, so everything is suppossed as driving game...

Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs are both made by Ubisoft. So it makes sense. They're games always have this type of atmosphere, but very creative and original gameplay and story.
