Can you imagine if Rockstar and Ubisoft partnered to make a game? more specifically, the watch dogs devs team up with the GTA V devs... oh my gosh, can you imagine the amount of detail if that actually were to happen!?
Well the reason I bought this game was to get away from the overly sexualized, gore GTA. I know WD has gore, and an amount of sexualized content, but at least it seems easy enough to stay away from. That's just my personal reason for buying this game.
The no door animation is say you go to a door and then you say "Oh wait I don't want to go in there" but too late! The animation initiated and you have to wait for it to finish.
Jake Kendall Are you serious ? If you've played GTA IV - V, characters simply make a push towards the object they're encountering on their path, without any disruption to movement. Same goes for Assasin's Creed - where character made some natural moves when he gets in the crowd. AC and Watch_Dogs are both Ubisoft games, and the abscence of such action details surprises me.
You can make Aiden surrender. It becomes unavailable after a certain story point because of your notoriety after then. Up until act 3 I think, you can surrender then blackout
It’s pretty sad. I fucking love WATCH_DOGS. It’s one of my favorite games, but even this footage was unbelievable. The graphics seemed to be slowly downgraded since the e3 reveal. Guns have absolutely no recoil and the the whole interface seemed more flush and more CtOs like. Even this play through seemed buggy and unfinished. Especially when they walk into the gun shop in the Loop District. When the news channel came on, the old version of Aiden was on the news. They didn’t even go through the time to put the updated version of Aiden on the news. I love the game so much, but it’s so weird noticing all of these differences years after it’s initial release
I was in hs when WD was all over the internet. Out of all my friends I was the first one to point out the gradual graphics downgrade with each gameplay trailer. And finally when it happened our whole gang was less sad and more impressed at my observation. Good times

If you said Grand Theft Auto is alike because of the free running and shooting and taking down gangs then a lot of games are alike. Not just Grand Theft Auto. Infamous??? Seriously man. It's kinda stealth but different from the others. No parkour (free running only), super powers instead of guns (Watch Dogs: stealth, hacking anh shooting). Far Cry: first person shooting game and stealth (seriously man?) Assassin's Creed: it's even more fictional than watch dogs, it exceeds human abilities. The common things: free running, shooting (Grand Theft Auto and Far Cry). and stealth (except for infamous) which could be found on most of the games.
funny of you to mention trolls, ubisoft has an interesting karma thing for trolls, you won't get people to join your game unless you join other peoples games, and if someone trolls you and leaves your game really fast, you can actually jump into his game really quick and kill him while he's doing a side activity, plus since he joined your game, now HE can be trolled too.

Damn this brings back memories. This video came out when I was 11. I watched this over and over, excited to play this one day. Turns out I actually had more fun watching this than playing the game. Lol
This is still an incredible game by and large, it disappointed many of us because of false advertising but ignoring that, the game has a solid narrative, good characters, amazing concept and very cool missions, this was truly one of your last actual good games ubisoft, it saddens me how you turn a franchise every succesful entry into a cash cow and stop being innovative and considerate of your fans' demands.
i like the pistol being the only weapon type thing. They should remake this so it can be like the demo, with the hacking wheel and ACTUAL good graphics
Agreed. Although I think they should let us choose what kind of pistol we can use in the case that we do get a remaster that's based off the demos and actually what was advertised. Would be nice to choose between one pistol or the other and be able to see our chosen pistol in cutscenes and all.
Something I really enjoy about Ubisoft is their "viewpoints." Within most of their open world games they seem give these "viewpoints," were you can unlock a section of then world map. But in Watch_Dogs, it is used to unlock a district so you can hack within then district. It is also in Fry-Cry 3, using the "viewpoint" for a different porpoise.
I honestly loved this game! I didnt dislike anything about it but I was only 8 or 9 when I played it so my opinion may be different now but I loved everything about it. It was a blast! I played it all night every night and me and my friends would take turns trying to get a bunch of cops on us! And dont even get me started with the digital trips where you were in a huge robotic spider, or sneaking past guys with cameras for heads, or jumping on flowers! This game was amazing if you ask me
You can see how much they've advanced since Legion. The world building, the atmosphere, the story, the animations, the voice acting. Clearly this game would not have been possible back when Legion came out.
This games gameplay and free roam looks like it might be better than gta 5. Plus thank you ubisoft for far cry 3. Defiantly one of the best games I ever played and I would love a fourth one.

reminder: the game is actually pretty solid now if you play it with the living city mod, a lot of the cut features is brought back and if im not mistaken they restored some cut cutscenes too
It would be awesome if you get a smart phone app that allows you to control your in-game phone using your real life phone it would make the gameplay way more convenient and immersive.
it's funny that people were so frustrated over this game, I get it, but live and learn. don't preorder, don't buy first day. I've still yet to play this but I'll go pick it up for 20 bucks used and have some fun.

I'm kinda worried that if you choose to be a good guy, and save the city of the crime, what can you do? like, will thugs come after you so you can get into a huge shootout if you want? or will there be like a cheat or something to disable reputation so you can get into a big shootout with the cops and not have any repercussions.

The only thing that really disappoints me though is the fact that some random troll may be able to join your game whenever they want and completely interrupt your game. ***** No. Just because it's a Ubisoft game doesn't mean the A.I has to be the same in every game. There are also crashes in GTA V and that game is from Rockstar.

Ohyesh, I just prepurchased on Steam, I want to say though, from what I learned from watching countless minutes of different demos, trailers, even parodys of watch dogs, I think that its an AMAZING game that takes aspects from games like what people say, Sleeping Dogs (City surroundings), Blacklist (Stealth tactics), GTA Series (free roaming adventure), Assassins Creed (The Action), Far Cry 3 (CTOS Stronghold capturing), etc etc. This is a game that takes the BEST aspects from amazing games, but doesn't put it all together like a cheap present, It using each and every aspect with differences along with the similarities, and boy, I want this game NAOW! If there could be just a little itty bitty more videos about this, so I don't have to just sit down, look at steam and say, oh boy its now 5 more hours than 6. Lol, but other than that, I have high hopes for this :3.

MrHepnerd7 Rockstar can and has made games that aren't overly sexualized/gore. See Midnight Club L.A., L.A. Noire, and Red Dead Redemption.

they moved the animation director over to far cry 4 before this game was finished and that's why the animations are also changed/downgraded

If Aiden can't hack anything before hacking the CTOS control center how can he hack cameras with in the CTOSCC? or is it just related to the Profiler?
It may be that, this way, when he hacks a CTOS control center, he gains more processing power and is able to hack devices in that particular area. Either way, I am so hyped about this game. Just wondering where am I going to find the time to play it :D
That bit at the top of the screen around 1:47 might have something to do with it. Maybe one gains limited powers when in proximity to a centre?

When they say "Aiden can hack a camera" or whatever, I always just imagine Aiden coughing and hacking up flem on a camera. Is there something wrong with me?
I can see a lot of people hacking into banking accounts in this game.
All gameplay features that were promised are actually there, only the graphics disappointed. I still really enjoyed the game
The graphics were probably downgraded because they run on the very expensive hardware something like a ps4 could not handle

You can say what you want, the graphic is not the best, the car driving system is trash *but* the map is extrem beautiful and realistic in comparison too Chicago!!🔥😍

This game looks amazing... I can't wait to play this on PC! The only thing that really disappoints me though is the fact that some random troll may be able to join your game whenever they want and completely interrupt your game. Still, at least I'll be able to troll other players as well xD. Not every game is perfect... I guess.

Just because it's a Ubisoft game doesn't mean the A.I has to be the same in every game. There are also crashes in GTA V and that game is from Rockstar.
***** But if you look better in that scene when those 2 vehicles crashed the pedestrians around the crash were reacting to it, they were starting to see the accident to see what happened, and probably after that those 2 guys would exit their vehicles and argue, that would be cool, even if it's not a random event, it's cool to have things like these in a gam, but i still think it was a random event.

I've been wondering... what's the harm in letting the other player hack you? Will he steal my cash, or just information? So far, it just sounds like he's doing me no harm, and simply helping himself.
Its games like this, The Assassin's Creed series, Far Cry 3, etc. that make Ubisoft one of the best video game companies out there. Cannot wait for it to come out in 2014.

Ohyesh, I just prepurchased on Steam, I want to say though, from what I learned from watching countless minutes of different demos, trailers, even parodys of watch dogs, I think that its an AMAZING game that takes aspects from games like what people say, Sleeping Dogs (City surroundings), Blacklist (Stealth tactics), GTA Series (free roaming adventure), Assassins Creed (The Action), Far Cry 3 (CTOS Stronghold capturing), etc etc. This is a game that takes the BEST aspects from amazing games, but doesn't put it all together like a cheap present, It using each and every aspect with differences along with the similarities, and boy, I want this game NAOW! If there could be just a little itty bitty more videos about this, so I don't have to just sit down, look at steam and say, oh boy its now 5 more hours than 6. Lol, but other than that, I have high hopes for this :3.

If y'all still playing this game on PC, install the Living_City mod. It's what Watch Dogs should have been.

Hello from future of 2022. They cant hack you during story missions. Only when doing sandboxy stuff between missions. 🤠
I really hope it doesn't have the same control style as Assassins Creed, that would almost be a game killer for me.
