You don’t have to apologize for the sirens. The fact that you live in nyc is part of your appeal, and the traffic noise is proof you’re not just in like Ohio, pretending you’re living out our dreams. You’re working behind the scenes on broadway, living in a picturesque little apartment that you have to pay way less than everyone else does(like on Friends) got the cutest little dog, an adorable boyfriend. And we are still relating to you in every little thing, the adhd. You’re a little nerdy, a little spastic, and not so glamorous, like the rest of us, but also entirely glamorous situationally, and it’s authentic. You’re living the dream and yet dreaming of something bigger and more meaningful and that’s why it’s good.
Honestly it’s what makes you interesting, that your situation is goals, but you have your own other goals. It’s a grass is greener kind of thing. And you’re going to be the coolest old lady someday, with all these stories and all this knowledge.

We don't have fur-nados but we do have tumble-cats, balls of cat fur that travel across the house and emerge from under the furniture when air flow kicks in.

I cleaned out my fridge and did some dishes while listening to this video 💕
Invest in a roll of cling wrap even if you don’t normally buy it. A roll lasts me a year, which is a good value compared to wasting hours fiddling with trying to replace the rubber part of your ole lids. Not so sanitary either. As long as the bottom part is glass it will work well. Does not work on Tupperware plastic. Did mine earlier this year and I will never know where the matching pieces go. They were all matching the last time I did it. I don’t know what those orange striped glasses are for but I want them so bad! LOL. Very vintage and cool.
I also gave up on growing any cilantro or parsley or thyme or basil etc. this year, it's too frustrating. Can relate!
The food storage container issue is why we only have Pyrex in like 3 different sizes. We've broken and replaced lids a few times over years, and it's very easy to find those replacements.
You name the container Pyrex or you mean the brand Pyrex?

I have adhd and struggle with the patience of growing things and then it not working but I found alfalfa sprouts are amazing to grow they grow so fast and need very little light or maintenance and is a nice win for growing when you are in a rut. Also in a condo and it’s tough trying to grow in such a small space but sprouts are chefs kiss
Came here to recommend garden cress - put paper towel on a plate, sprinkle the seeds, add water (and keep wet) and in four days you can harvest.
ohh, i heve cronic allergies, so i almost sneezed after seeing that pile of dust and fur. jk, lol. but i totally get how you feel about deep cleaning, it is a lot of effort and energy, but satisfying at the end (even if it doesnt make all that difference visually). and girll, dont be so hard on yourself about the books on your shelf!! for a person that reads a lot, you dont have that many books. i also decclutered makeup i didnt use, and it felt great to be free of that, and to have a free space in my necessaire that doesnt have to be filled. just get it over with! memories will stay, the item itself can leave.
i am a big fan of those ikea glass tupperware (deep and shallow) that have the universal fitting bamboo lids. saves the chaos from the tupperware avalanche
tupperware without lids can make great drawer organizers

I do own such an immense amount of merino wool skeins that I've bought in the past and I put them all on the floor today and sorted a bit through them colourwise and I'm gonna let them be knitted into a checkered blanket so hopefully we'll use it in the future.

I found a company that has community dye lots you can send in items with natural fibers to dye. They always have indigo but they also have different colors every month. They are called Green Matters Natural Dye Company and honestly it might be a great gift to ask for if you want to give some well-loved items a second life!

I’ve rebought just lids for the anchor brand Tupperware
Store lids on containers so they do not get separated.
No apologies necessary for dog or cat hair. It’s real life.
I call them fur bunnies or fur tumble weeds

I'm at the point you're talking about your eyeshadow palettes, some creators take donations of makeup palettes on tiktok make watercolor paints out of expired eyeshadows, if you're looking to give them a second life!

I usually turn an eyeshadow palette into paint, I learned it some time ago here on UA-cam, at least I use it and don't throw it in the trash, maybe if there's someone who paints or does watercolor it's a good idea to always ask
