    Welcome to another video,
    These two naked bikes have a lot of similarities and are easy to ride. Both are fantastic options for a new rider and can easily be found used all around! The newer versions are basically the same thing but might as well buy new for peace of mind and the fact they are very inexpensive.

    I got a cb300f about a year ago as my first bike (after taking the MSF). Found a leftover new one for $3,400 out-the-door.
    I discovered its top-speed limitations on about day 3 of riding, but it never gets old on the twisties. I take it on gravel and dirt far more than any street bike probably should, lol. Tons of fun on the cheap. Thanks for the vid!

      @GoGoober  3 роки тому

      That's where that bike excels man it's gonna do exactly what you want it to! Great deal to boot you can't beat $3,400. Lol I bet it handles great in the gravel with that lightweight sounds fun, thanks for the comment💪

    • @jbjohnson4728

      Wow. I wish I could have got such a bargain. I paid $4,400 out the door (taxes, registration, and basic maintenance) on a 2019 with 7,000 miles. But I was having a really hard time finding a bike. The dealers want $6,400 out the door on the 2021 CB300R. So it seemed like a little bit of a discount to me.

      I agree, people hate on smaller bikes but they're a lot of fun to throw around and maintain. Thanks for watching!

    There's a nasty crankshaft recall on the 2015 and 2016 Honda CB300Fs (and CBR300Rs). I would avoid those years. In 2019 Honda replaced the CB300F with the CB300R (for roadster, not to be confused with the CBR300R which is the sport bike configuration). The newer CB300R has inverted forks, a round headlight, and more of a cafe look. IMO, it's better looking than the it's predecessor, but it's still very similar.
    I have had a 2017 CB300F ABS for 3 years now. It's a well balanced very fun bike, handles great on twisty back roads, It's got enough go, but doesn't have so much torque that it will try to kill you (or let you try to kill yourself ;-). That said, it has no trouble at all getting up to 70+ on a highway and its got a 200 mile range on a tank of gas which is nice. The only real cons to me were that I needed to add a $20 pair of mirror extenders to see behind me well and the seat gets to feeling a bit hard as you approach 2-hours in the saddle (but seriously, it's a 300cc bike that was $5K new out the door. It's not a tourer). Overall it's a good basic bike, not just a beginner bike. (Just avoid the crankshaft recall years.)
    My advice to anyone looking is to spend some real time sitting on any bike you're interested in. Get someone to hold the front forks so you can have both feet on the pegs in the riding position. Get the bike that feels most comfortable for your particular body / feels best to you / the one calls you.
    Hope you and your wife enjoy your rides. All the best.

    I own a 2019 cb1000r and a 2017 FZ-10. I’m in the market for a 300cc to turn into a stunt/off road/ hooligan bike. Just want something light and fun to mess around with.

    I was on a CB300F today (according to the VIN CBF300N). First through third gears were smooth. But I was having a hard time getting into fourth gear. Any suggestions? Do I need to get the RPMs up higher or something?

    • @GoGoober
      @GoGoober  3 роки тому +2

      Increasing the RPMS could be it! I distinctly remembering my friend shifting this bike too early and having a hard time keeping up. Look at adjusting the throttle so you don't have to twist the wrist as much to get the revs up! Let me know how it goes💯

    It's subjective but I prefer the styling of the MT 03 plus it's a twin over the CB single. I'm thinking about it because I want to downsize but comparing against the CB500F, still not sure which way to go but am leaning towards the CB.

    • @GoGoober
      @GoGoober  3 роки тому

      That's true subjective forsure but a fair comparison at that! Thanks for the comment, would love to hear what bike you go with. Yeah I def prefer the styling of the MT🤙

    Looking for a small bike after a lot of big bore stuff but the small physical size of these bikes puts me off as I’m 6’2” 😬 Normally I’d go for the Honda but still not convinced the motor in 300 form I’d completely solid…

      Yeah man I'm 6'1"and these feel like a scooter when I ride them, CB500F, NINJA 650, Z650 are REALLY tame bikes in my opinion. MT07 also a lot of fun

    I wouldn't waste my time on this bike. I would go straight for the CB500f which is actually only a 471cc. It is plenty light enough for any beginner. My little 120 pound wife learned on it easily and you won't be needing to sell it and lose money any time soon because it can handle highway speeds with no problem.
