Finally I found a person putting the 300 through the paces and shooting down all the negative comments about the 300 !! It's totally powerful enough for the freeway and it's great for just going around town and here or there! And it can run at 80 plus all day long, me and 4 of my friends who all have this bike , we took the interstate all the way to Las Vegas and we hit 85 plus the whole way, yamaha mt03 knows how to put a good bike out there!!
I don't even know how many times I watched your video for the past 2 weeks. I love this bike and want him to be my first bike. 300cc is plenty of power for me if I can go 75mph on hwy without any issues then it's enough for me.😍😍👌
Same here, I want an MT-03 for my first bike and I don't see myself needing anything more than 300CC bike. I have no interestin doing track runs so I'm never going to hit the top speed anyway and the MT-03 has enough power to go on the freeway with no problems as well as enough reserve power to get out of jams or pass slower traffic.
@@Riceball01 Yeah me too I don't need to go way above speed limit or do stupid wheelies to show off I just want to have a joy riding a motorcycle with safety as a #1 rule.
I just got one last October. 2023 MT03. It’s my first bike, so I’ve been learning on it. Speed is totally fine for me personally. Of course at some point I’ll upgrade but for right now it’s okay. Once you get it, upgrade to the Yamaha R6 throttle tube. Makes such a big difference(shorter throw in the throttle), feels like the bike is tuned now lol. Overall I love this bike though, I only have my permit so I’m not supposed to go on the freeway anyways.
I still plan on buying this bike in the future or the Mt 07,which a few weeks ago when trying to find a part at the bike shop for my small bike,I noticed a mt 07 but no 03,they had several selections of bikes an previously owned and used bikes downstairs but I didn't have time to go see them,I'm going back sometime soon, but I like that I'll be able to sit on the bikes an see what I'm comfortable with an price wise,at the moment my main bike is still down,I'm saving up for my 150cc for my commuter bike, from home to work an just well I like to ride
My 300 was great until I tried passing on back roads. It’s a lot safer on a bigger bike that can quickly get around a car moving at 60mph. My 300 did it but slowly. Found that too dangerous, sold it and got a bigger motor. 300 was plenty of power elsewhere but took less than a year to get rid of. I don’t like sitting in blind spots for anytime, dangerous.
I want the bike most for city riding and weekend short trips but also have the opportunity to travel safely using the Highways at the US, I am planning to do the 66, and 61, Do you think it will be enough this 300 cc?
Hey man hope you reply, I’m looking into buying this as my first bike, wondering how’s the vibration on it, can you do highway stuff comfortably, and if compared to a car which car would you compare it to. Thanks for the good content
Hard to compare vibrations from a bike to a car. I will say, the MT03 vibrates A LOT less than my Aprilia now. Can ride on highway without issue and its pretty quick for what it is. If I could start over, I'd still buy the MT03 as my first bike again
Buy a windscreen lol. The wind is pretty bad on the freeway but I also have nothing to compare to cause this is my first bike, and I live in a windier area.
New rider here. Been riding for 7months now, Riding a 150cc mini moto. Im torn between the Yamaha MT03 and the Kawasaki Z400 for my next bike. I guess it will be depend on the seat height, Im only 5ft 6. And it will depend on the better MPG.
@@Devious_RiderCX they are both pretty similar tbh. I would get whichever one you can find cheaper. I lean towards MT03 because of the looks, but that's subjective. Technically Z400 has a little more power, but negligible imo
How badly does she scream though when you're continuously going ~80mph. It's hard to tell because your noise cancellation does a pretty good job. I've thought about going the route of a sv650 or the mt-07 for naked just due to the fact it has another 15mph top speed so the rpm shouldn't be as high when doing highway in my state. Usually left lane is going like 75-90 here depending on the day and I feel constantly hearing it at the top of the band would get annoying after a bit.

Accurate! 300cc is fine on the highway, but you're at the mercy of cars around you because it simply doesn't have the passing power. I own an MT-09 but saw this video because I want a cheaper bike I can commute with daily and not worry about anything happening to it.

On a 300cc bike, a good chunk of time is spent on learning how to ride and develop true skill (it may take years to really push the limits of your own riding skills, even on a 300).
