Oh Jodi...another reason I love you so much! I too lost a significant amount of weight. 90lbs! Kept it off for 9 years and then 2020 hit and my eating habits went down the tubes. I never stopped working but being stuck at home changed my lifestyle drastically. I too can't bring myself to weigh myself and have resolved to stay in my pandemic stretch pants and t-shirts and sweatshirts. I too could blame my thyroid disease, but the fact of the matter is, I eat the wrong thing and don't exercise like I should. I too need to declutter all of my clothes that no longer fit but can't seem to get rid of. You are SO INSPIRING! Thank you for keeping it real and being venerable with us!
Awe Tara I’m sorry you are going through this. It is hard! And I know the pandemic hit is all in different ways. Losing 90lbs is incredibly!!! Maintaining that for 9 years is absolutely inspiring 👏👏 way to go friend ❤️
I have said it so many times, but Jodi you are such a special person. I love that you are so real and talk about things that are hard! You are such a strong person, and yes you will get back on track, you just needed the reminder about how your mindset was! ❤ There will be up’s and downs, but you have 16+K rooting for you ❤❤❤
I really needed to hear this today, I've been making excuses for why I'm not getting the things done that I want to get done and you are absolutely right, it is all within my control and I just need to get to it! ❤️
Gabby! I love your channel as well! People always say Don't be so hard on yourself but if we don't push ourselves a little then nothing will change or happen so your comment is well taken.
I got BUSY today and VACCUM ON TOP of all my kitchen cabinets. OMG....so glad I did. Cleaned, washed, wiped out all my bottom cabinets. Got rid of 29 things. 10 went to trash, 19 to Goodwill. Tomorrow, I'll clean my upper K cabinets. I vaccum the Living room today. Washed all the dog's bedding. Swept kitchen, Dining room and my bedroom. I can't wait to get up in the morn' and get started. I've got a big box going to Goodwill. More will be added tomorrow! 🤣😄 I LOVE to deep down CLEAN behind, between things. I have to get in the mood. Today, I was in the mood!
Oh Jodi, I also went through a weight loss journey and I lost 130 lbs and I remember how happy I was to finally go shopping for clothes. The pandemic definetly inspired me to make bad choices again and I gained 30-40 lbs and I feel so sad that I couldn’t make myself keep up with my new habits but now I’m trying to hold myself accountable to watch what I eat and start to fit on all those amazing clothes I bought. I am working on regaining my home back after years of depression and clutter piled in years but I refuse to let go of any clothes. I had to buy some clothes that fit right now because I needed for work since I had to go back in person but I refuse to buy more that I absolutely need it. I will go back to those clothes and I won’t have to buy a whole new wardrobe again.
Just started watching this channel. I’ve been watching your couponing channel for a long time. I’m a fellow couponer. I lost over 50 pounds TWICE in the last 10 years. I am back up to my original weight, probably heavier. I’ve enjoyed watching you declutter. It’s giving me inspiration!
I love the "new" lamps... I would definitely get softer light bulbs... And when you go up to change to your PJs at night, you could turn on one of the lamps to just put a soft light in there for when you go up to bed at night 💜💜💜💜
I agree! I do the same thing. I bought the prettiest crystal touch lamps from Amazon. They make our bedroom look so cozy at night. The overhead ceiling fan light is way to bright when I’m trying to wind down to go to sleep.
Weight… I have the same story, been battling weight issues my entire life, in 2019 I started my weight loss journey, I lost almost 60 lbs, got rid of all my “fat clothes “ bought all new and now I’ve gained 26 lbs back! You are so right, I’ve made so many bad choices! I was walking on treadmill everyday. I’m so disgusted with myself, I could cry. I keep saying… Monday I’ll start but I haven’t yet. You are so right about how you felt so great, I did too not just physically but mentally. It’s so hard as we get older, I’m 69! I swear by summer I’m going to lose that weight!!
The fact that you had lost 60 pounds is awesome! I’d love to be able to do that! At this point, I’d be happy with 30 pounds! You did it once, you’ll do it again! 🙂
You have such a great fun personality! Your bedroom is nice now BUT now you need a runner or dresser scarf and beautiful pink doilies on your nite stands for added touch. Your daughter Donna Jean is so thoughtful for making a smoothie for you too! 🥰
Aaaah my Jodi fix❤️. My banana bread recipe is The Hummingbird Bakery one. Use dark brown sugar for richer flavour and butter is melted before adding. It's delicious. ❤️ from 🏴. Xx
I am literally going through the same thing with my weight. I worked so hard and lost 45ish lbs then gained back 65!! I'm currently down 8lbs and continuing. I also decluttered my closet - which was overflowing! - and finally said goodbye to my 'skinny' clothes because who knows if I'll even want to wear them when I lose all the weight again. BUT I kept things I love so that I do have something to start with when I lose it again. And I like your attitude toward it - I got myself back here but I can change it! I love your videos 😊
I lost it when you showed us the whole in your pants 😂😂😂😂 I have had a rough week and needed that good laugh! I love watching your videos because you are just so real about life and it’s inspiring to watch you work on things you want to improve.
I gained many pounds during the pandemic. We couldn't even use the buildings exercise room. So I ate, I won't say what, but it was a lot of junk food! I am down 15 pounds, and proud of my success so far. I have several to go, but I am only looking forward. Great video Jodi!
I’ve been decluttering one cabinet at a time and one closet at a time. This is very helpful to not get overwhelmed and took it to goodwill right away. Thanks for the good advice. It’s been so much easier.
I’m in the same boat!🙋🏼♀️. I did weigh myself this morning though. I’m 4 pounds away from my first weight loss goal. I’m a list person so I have my goals list on my phone. When I reach it, I’ll mark it off and go on to the next goal! I’ve already started making better food choices, drink less diet sodas, say no to seconds, and try to get as many steps in a day as I can. It’s not easy, that’s for sure! I know I’ll never be in the 130’s again and I’m okay with that. I just want to look and feel better about myself. My recent blood work was all great! I just need to get a handle on my weight.
Jodi as far as your banana bread recipe goes my mother and now myself always used frozen bananas because when they thaw they get watery and i peel the bananas and use all the liquid and thats what makes the bread moist. My moms bread was always moist and delicious. So freeze your bananas once they turn black. I think thats the secret to moist banana bread.
Yes the mushier they are the better! 😆👍🏻 Even though your bananas were quite black they could even sit a bit more….you want them to be really sweet and mushy. My moms recipe I use is a good one….I’ll share below…
1/2 cup butter (room temp/softened) 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 3/4 cup flour 1 1/4 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/4~1/2 tsp salt 1 cup mashed bananas I whip the butter a bit first then blend in the sugar and eggs Then add the dry ingredients (I mix them in with a mixer as well)🤷🏻♀️ Then add (hand or machine mix) in the 1 cup mashed bananas (usually is 2 bananas or so…I usually do a double recipe and add 5 bananas. ☺️ And the mushier the bananas the more moist your bread will be.) Bake for 50-60 minutes at 325F
Oh and I also should say I too am starting a weight loss journey in order be a better healthier version of myself!! It’s so hard to not beat ones self up….thank you for your words of encouragement you are so right!!! No more excuses! We got this!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🙏🏼
Wow the space in the basement is amazing, well done on getting the fridge out too. You did great with the clothes and the fact you’ve them gone already is finishing the job. Aw Tom and Clarke are funny to watch. Oh the bread looks delicious 😋 Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏👍💪🙏💐🐈⬛🐈🦮
Recently found your channel! Have been binge watching your videos! Enjoy watching your progress in your home. You’ve worked so hard- congrats on your transformation! Love your down to earth videos!
I understand you don’t want to get rid of the dresser. The one thing I will say is I personally, store away the not current season clothes in a storage space. The only reason I do it is to eliminate decision fatigue. It’s so nice for me to only have what I need this season out now.
Your thoughts on the external factors was eye opening for me too. Thank you for sharing your mentality on that. I do agree with what you felt too. ❤️❤️
Thank you Jodi!!!! Your not afraid to show us that you have struggles be it weight, cleaning, or decluttering like me. The basement looks awesome. What a difference. Thanks again for sharing your life and family with us. Hugs 🤗
Hi Jodi! Wonderful job on your bedroom. I got so much done during the pandemic...I set up three project stations in our home for things I had put off. It was so great to get the family photo project DONE! This past week I did a super quick clothes declutter of my dresser and closet. I see that I missed a sweater. Oh well, next round!
I lost about the same amount during the same time frame and nearly have gained it all back since the pandemic! I am struggling to get back on track so your motivational words are very helpful! I have packed away all the clothes that don't fit me so I don't have to constantly look at them but I am determined to get back into them!
I've made the Moosewood cookbook banana bread for years. It calls for 2 cups of pureed bananas soaked in one cup of coffee. And no you don't taste "coffee." It just adds a depth that most find appealing. ☕🍌🍞
Love your channel, and motivation! My favorite banana bread recipe is the best and so simple. 1 yellow cake mix, 2 eggs, 4-5 overripe bananas (they are the sweetest), cup of chocolate chips and cup of chopped pecans (you can measure with your heart). Mix everything together well and divide between two loaf pans. Bake at 350 deg for 40-45 minutes until done. (Toothpick test)
My husband and I spent the weekend painting my laundry room which is huge, 6 doors! ( my pantry is in there and has three doors) then basement door 1/2 bath door and door to outside. A coat of paint does wonders, the project started because we got a new washer and dryer😊
🙋🏻♀️ Jodi, It seems that your batter was very thick. It should be a little bit runnier. I also use the Preppy Kitchen’s banana bread recipe, but I weigh my ingredients especially the flour. I also add the suggested 2 teaspoons of either yogurt or sour cream depending on what I have on hand. If you don’t have a scale you can fluff up the flour first and then spoon the flour into the measuring cup. I also thought that weighing the ingredients was very bougie, but it has made me a better baker. Another plus is that I don’t have to wash the measuring cups since I only use a scale. PS: Thanks for your motivation speech about not using excuses or blame for not doing something.
@@jodidunnmymessylife1847: Jodi, You don’t have to buy a scale unless you are going to be a serious baker just add either the yogurt or sour cream next time. There are work arounds if you don’t have or want a scale (ie: sift your flour before measuring it). Also most recipes are measured not weighted. I just don’t want you to buy something that you have to declutter later if you only bake once or twice every few weeks. The only reason I broke down and bought a scale was because I wanted to bake different breads and rolls using different types of flour. Now I’m deciding if I need a grain mill to grind my own flour. It’s a slippery slope. I usually bake some type of bread every week.
While losing weight buy ur clothes at the thrift store. Wear them then donate them back when they are to big. It helps to look cute while losing weight!!
Love and watch your videos every week. Thank you for the motivation to clear my closets. I have three different sizes knowing I should only keep one 🤦♀️
thank you Jodi for always being such an amazing and wonderful person. I always enjoy watching your progress though this channel and all of your personal growth that has come a long with the decluttering.
Oh Jodi, I'm right there with you. I lost 76 pounds back in 2019, but have since gained 40 back. The only excuse I can give is that I too made bad choices. No one to blame, but me. I'm back on track too. We got this girl. 40 is not as scary as 75.
Hi Jodi, hello from Illinois. I gained weight during the pandemic and am still gaining - stress eating is a killer! I’m too afraid to look at the scale but I know I’ve passed my highest weight. I felt so ashamed of getting rid of clothes since I knew they were gifted to me and many I just couldn’t fit into. Sometime ago I finally let go and released the negative thoughts as well as the clothes. I’ve taken count of how much I’ve decluttered since 2021. Has to be upwards of 50 or 60 items. I’ve worked on keeping a smaller clothes count and am gradually working on getting more clothes that fit. I’m going to try to work harder this year to change my eating habits too. Love how real you are on your channel! I don’t have a definite decluttering plan for this year. It happens spontaneously for me but I did one a few weeks ago in my room. A little at a time!!
Jodi you inspire me in so many ways. I love your outlook. I too am on a weight loss journey and also a declutter journey so looking forward to your weekly videos.
A recipe may ask for a certain amount of bananas, but more bananas would make it more moist. Remember the size of each banana also. I always under cook my recipe by 5 Minutes and use a toothpick to check for gooeyness. Good luck!
I love all of your videos on both channels but I save the ones on this channel for my decluttering day, usually on the weekends. Tomorrow is a snow day for me so I will be binge listening while cleaning. Your voice in the background gives me motivation. Your awesome girl!🤘
I’m trying to go through different things, closets, dresser drawers like you. And yes…decluttering what I can. Might as well get started early before cleaning outside.
Thanks for being real I losted 30 pounds last year and since November I just have it got back to healthy eating. The weight is coming back and I didn't hit my goal.so my goal today would be to lose 17 pounds. And buying clothes for being smaller was great. So we got this
I keep clothes that I like and don’t currently fit. I too struggle with weight loss and keeping it off. First I hate to keep repurchasing clothes when I lose weight plus it reminds me that I’m capable of getting into them again and it gives me a purpose and another goal.
Yes! New Jodi Video! One of my week‘s highlights since October or so. You motivate me so much! I love to do anything declutter/cleaning when you Talk me through it. Please Never stop these Videos! 🥰
Another great vid Jodi. I also gained weight during the pandemic and then kept going! Really wanted to make an effort this new year but have been having the kitchen and living area remodelled and so lots of eating takeaways and being stuck indoors incase the builders need to question anything. So no moving and lots of terrible eating! Cant wait for my house back so I can try again! Thank you for sharing!! Xx
Such a pretty dried arrangement. Thank you for sharing your story. I did really well the first 8 months of covid, then had some major life changes that I pretty much ate my way through. A few months ago, took all the clothes that didn't fit out of my closet and dresser to help stop the negative self talk. I kept 1 bin of skinny clothes with a try on date taped to the top. If it doesn't fit by then, they are going. The rest were donated. Super cute side lamps! Next time, add a quarter cup of buttermilk or yogurt to the banana bread mix. 😉
It's hard to be positive when we clean or declutter, but I appreciate your *happy vibes* while doing just that. I am sure it's that same positive attitude that will see you achieve your goals be they weight loss or whatever! Rock on....
Hi Jodi! New subí! Love your personality and love this video. I have three kids too and the same ages. I have 2 girls and a boy. My 25 year old isn’t married yet or has kids, but she’s been with the same guy for three years, so fingers crossed. My son just turned 15 in November ame my baby girl just turned 12 in December. I can’t wait to see more videos. 🤗
Your 'cute little night lights' really do bring the room together! 🤭We're doing major decluttering here. Once we moved into our new place a few months ago we realized we have way too much.
I lost 30 pounds and gained it back after the pandemic and more. Hi Donna Jean. I working on painting the kitchen and bathroom .Awesome video. 💙💙💙💙💙💙 you are so special to me. Thank you
You can hairspray the dried flowers and it’ll keep them for much longer ☺️ Your room looks so calming ❤ As for the banana bread, over mixing could cause it to be dry. 😊
Wow Jodi your bedrooms come a long way. You are def good at this new decorating hobby of yours. Very welcoming and the bedspreads very pretty loving all the pinks and the lamps made it!
Another great video! I really appreciate that you shared your weight loss journey. I had a similar situation where I lost weight several years ago but gained it back and then some. I keep procrastinating starting a weight loss program. It's time to start. Thanks
Just a suggestion if your bread came out dry. Just add one third of a cup of vegetable oil and it makes your bread a little more moist. Just add as much vegetable oil as you need.
Jodie, your bedroom looks absolutely gorgeous and your new lamps make it pop. So lovely with your new carpet as well. You have come so far and seem to enjoy cleaning so much more! Jo from Australia xxx
I dont think ive ever clicked on a video so fast. XD I want to declutter more of my closet, though i have a very minimal amount of clothes already, i just feel like i could do better.
Thank you for always keeping it real! Every room in my house needs to be decluttered, I really need to get started. I also laughed way too hard at the hole in the pants. Thanks for sharing, Jodi. I always love your videos. I've been bad about commenting, but I'm watching them all. ❤️
Julie what in the world was I doing 😂 Always love seeing your comments but I get busy sometimes and forgot to comment on videos so no worries at all friend 🤗
Thank you for sharing with us. I can totally relate to a lot of the things you talked about. I am currently trying to lose weight that I have gained back and it sucks. Half my clothes dont fit and I cant borrow any of my sisters, friends, or even my moms clothes. Though I have made some progress, and I find that slowly adding healthy habits to my daily routine is really effective for lasting results, as well as improve my mental & physical health by so much.
Being overweight…boy oh boy can I relate! All of my life I was skinny. I stayed around 135-140. I’m 5’3” so no where to hide any extra weight! Along comes menopause and an extra 40 pounds! Then of course the pandemic…enough said! So right now, my current status is, if I could lose 30 pounds, I’d feel so much better! My clothes would fit better! We just got home from a cruise where I walked 5 miles a day. I need to get into some kind of exercise routine and say no to Big Mac’s! Pray for me! 😁 PS - a Spanx ad popped up during your video! 😁
Banana Bread is often better either on day 2 or even day 3 after it has been made (or spread with butter 😉)... I'm from the 🇬🇧 and the Bero Banana Bread recipe is my go to.... love it
I am fine tuning and rearranging. Of course in the process some is going, but I'm more focused on getting things easy to clean up and finding the little pockets of stuff that is hanging out but not getting used because it is so disorganized. My son says he is excited about 2 cats and a dog too. Lol. And my daughter has the same pajama pants as Donna Jean. Lol.
I remember the lamps, in fact I have stuck with you since the beginning because I also remember when you bought the night stands lol....I never miss your videos I really enjoy your content and your personality. Hugs from Ontario xoxo
Always look forward to your vids. The recipe looks pretty standard to me. What I do differently is turn the temp down for baking. I preheat at 350, bake at 275 & about 7 mins to finish I turn oven up to 350 for a golden brown finish. It takes longer but it comes out moist every time.
I enjoyed you drawers declutter, I declutter end my pantry, boy what a job, by the way I love your bedroom lamps they are perfect. Your basement looks awesome. I love your videos Jodi and I look so forward to seeing you videos. Thank you for saring
Sour cream is my secret ingredient. I can't remember if I said I'm finally get my scrapbook room. I'm still moving out the youngest. But hopefully by the end of the weekend I will have the last of his stuff out.
The lamps are so cute ❤️ your room turned out amazing with them. Donna Jean is so sweet, she reminds me a little bit of me when I had her age ☺️ (I'm 31 now).
I have a recipe for ya! My family loves it...A box of yellow cake mix, 1 box of banana pudding mix, 4 eggs, 1/4 cup oil, 1 cup water and 1 mashed banana 350 degrees 50-55 minutes---ive made a bundt cake and muffins out of the recipe---but honestly it comes out best in a bundt pan--OMG--it is so good--it calls for a drizzle of frosting but you dont need it---they are so moist.. I'll join you on the weight loss journey--Ive gained quite a bit the last several months and fell just miserable....I keep saying Monday I'll start, but I never do---or I do and fail by Tuesday.....
We , or I wash our sheets every week. Watching Q.V.C on TV, the sheet etc, and she said every single weekend to wash your sheets. Kind of figured that was the case. You do such a great job cleaning Jodi.
I forget to change out of my "house shoes" all the time. Which often makes me so mad! I showed up to Thanksgiving dinner in my flaming orange Crocs and a black velvet dress. I looked like Daffy Duck. I didn't even notice until I arrived at my destination. What the heck? I didn't know if I was more annoyed at myself, or my hubby for not saying anything. Ha!
I love my UGG slippers. My husband bought mine for me about 3 Christmas's ago and they are still going strong. I will probably replace them with another pair when these bite the dust.
Isn't it fun that in Michigan you can have 3 out of the 4 seasons the same day?! When you find a recipe you like, but it is dry, try using a bit less (maybe 2 tablespoons) flour the next time.
Hi Jodi 👋 your bed drawers are great for extra storage. 2)70#. Woohoo.oh. 3yrs+ pandemic. I get that.yes. every moment is a chance for another choice. External vs internal acceptance & personal growth. Yep. 3) Thom was waiting his turn. 4) tjmaxx lamps. ..looks great 😃. 5) tax decluttering is on tap here. 😆 6) went to work on resealing around my tub with that seal stuff( ad seals giant hole in boat) that was delayed due to pandemic keeping more people home ( takes3-4 days to dry in my damp house). But the containers weren't fully usable because of the delay so only partially done. Have to plan again to finish. But on way out of tub- opposite end of usual exit- so no grab_ I fell & ended up looking at underside of toilet. I know my next project now. 7) good news. This weekend able to get arm over head 1st time since surgery. Woohoo! Small victories. 8) banana bread. When using extra 🍌🍌 that are not brown inside add 1/4-1/2cup of unsweetened applesauce to keep that moistness.
I have gone to the gym and one of my daughters softball games in my UGG slippers 😂. I went all the way home and back to the gym after changing into my sneakers (thank you very much). And my feet had never been warmer at an early season softballl game❤
Well Hello Miss Jodi from central Texas! I stumbled across your channel and watched a couple of your videos and just loved them. I live in a small house and and it's a constant battle of what I WANT to keep and what I CAN keep. The struggle is real lol. We also have a big storage shed and I'm working on it too as I am a seasonal decor junkie! LOL I love fall halloween thanksgiving and Christmas. But I'm trying to downsize the STUFF. Its just me and my husband, our kids are grown and have moved away because of jobs and we have 5 grandkids. My husband and I are sneaking up on 60 and I looked around one day and thought what if our health fails, what if something happens and I CANT clean and downsize this stuff that Ive been putting off? I have lupus and there are days I literally have to make myself get out of bed and get dressed and just get just simple chores done. But I've been decluttering along and you have inspired to keep at it!! My best to you and your family. ❤
Hi Lola 🤗 Thank you so much. Yes downsizing is hard! I’m glad my videos have helped ❤️ Sending you lots of hugs and prayers that there are more great days 🙏
Jodi, after watching these videos you post, you have definitely inspired me to work on my house lol I have started decluttering just after Christmas!. Throwing away a lot of old stuff.
Oh Jodi...another reason I love you so much! I too lost a significant amount of weight. 90lbs! Kept it off for 9 years and then 2020 hit and my eating habits went down the tubes. I never stopped working but being stuck at home changed my lifestyle drastically.
There will be up’s and downs, but you have 16+K rooting for you ❤❤❤
I love your outlook of not making excuses and just moving forward with positive choices! Keep up the momentum!
Thank you Alexa ❤️
I really needed to hear this today, I've been making excuses for why I'm not getting the things done that I want to get done and you are absolutely right, it is all within my control and I just need to get to it! ❤️
Gabby! I love your channel as well! People always say Don't be so hard on yourself but if we don't push ourselves a little then nothing will change or happen so your comment is well taken.
Looks beautiful!
Hi Gabbi 🤗
Yes I often find myself doing that 🤦♀️ I’m glad this gave you a little push ❤️
Ohhh I love gabbi
i swear that Clark is the cutest puppy i have ever seen.
I got BUSY today and VACCUM ON TOP of all my kitchen cabinets. OMG....so glad I did. Cleaned, washed, wiped out all my bottom cabinets. Got rid of 29 things. 10 went to trash, 19 to Goodwill. 130 pounds?!?!? That’s so great! You had the determination once, you will find it again! Good luck on your journey! 🙂

I think one of the simplest quotes to live by is actual one used in AA to help those recovering. “Nothing changes if nothing changes”.
Charles that is a fantastic quote to live by. Thank you for sharing that ❤️
I am literally going through the same thing with my weight.
Oh my gosh when I was editing I almost took it out. I don’t know what I was thinking 🤣🤣🤣
The hole bit made me laugh because when i looked up at first i didnt know what it was 😂
I gained many pounds during the pandemic. We couldn't even use the buildings exercise room. So I ate, I won't say what, but it was a lot of junk food! I am down 15 pounds, and proud of my success so far. I have several to go, but I am only looking forward. Great video Jodi!
Way to go Sheree 👏👏👏👏
I’ve been decluttering one cabinet at a time and one closet at a time. This is very helpful to not get overwhelmed and took it to goodwill right away. Thanks for the good advice. It’s been so much easier.
Oh that’s great Theresa ❤️❤️
Literally cant start watching your channel without a huge instant smile. You are so cute and sweet. Hello hello hello omg
Thank you Lorie ❤️
Yes the mushier they are the better! 😆👍🏻 Even though your bananas were quite black they could even sit a bit more….you want them to be really sweet and mushy. My moms recipe I use is a good one….I’ll share below…
1/2 cup butter (room temp/softened)
2/3 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup flour
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4~1/2 tsp salt
1 cup mashed bananas
I whip the butter a bit first then blend in the sugar and eggs
Then add the dry ingredients (I mix them in with a mixer as well)🤷🏻♀️
Then add (hand or machine mix) in the 1 cup mashed bananas (usually is 2 bananas or so…I usually do a double recipe and add 5 bananas. ☺️ And the mushier the bananas the more moist your bread will be.)
Bake for 50-60 minutes at 325F
Thank you Mary 🤗🤗
Martha Stewart’s banana bread recipe is the absolute best I have ever tried can’t can’t get any easier.
Thank you Kelly ❤️
I lost about the same amount during the same time frame and nearly have gained it all back since the pandemic! I am struggling to get back on track so your motivational words are very helpful! I have packed away all the clothes that don't fit me so I don't have to constantly look at them but I am determined to get back into them!
Ellen thank you for sharing that! It truly helps knowing there are others with the same challenges. I’m rooting for you and cheering you on 👏👏👏
I've made the Moosewood cookbook banana bread for years.
Thank you Sonia ❤️
My husband and I spent the weekend painting my laundry room which is huge, 6 doors! ( my pantry is in there and has three doors) then basement door 1/2 bath door and door to outside. A coat of paint does wonders, the project started because we got a new washer and dryer😊
Hello from Maine. I’ve enjoyed your videos very much. You keep it real. Thanks for sharing your life experiences with your viewers. Stay well.
Thank you Elizabeth ❤️
I don’t have a scale but I’m glad to know it makes that much of a difference. I may just have to get one ❤️
Thank you Kimmie ❤️
Thank you for sharing that 🤗🤗
Yes guilt makes us hold on to things. I totally understand that. Good job moving forward and letting go of so much 👏👏👏
Jodi you inspire me in so many ways. I love your outlook. I too am on a weight loss journey and also a declutter journey so looking forward to your weekly videos.
Thank you Lisa ❤️
It’s already been said, but I agree, the riper and mushier the banana and also freezing them helps too!
i loved it when said that was the first pair shorts you were out in public. proud of you you can to it again you got me on the pill
A recipe may ask for a certain amount of bananas, but more bananas would make it more moist. Remember the size of each banana also. I always under cook my recipe by 5 Minutes and use a toothpick to check for gooeyness. Good luck!
Try putting a 25 watt bulb in you nightstand lamps. I love mine.
Watching your videos just makes me happy.
Yes love that Noreen ❤️
Xx
Shannon that’s so exciting! But yes brings other challenges when you can’t access your kitchen ❤️
@@jodidunnmymessylife1847 when it’s all done i’ll send you some before and after pictures via email!!xx
Rock on....
Thank you ❤️❤️
Decluttering videos are my favorite! Thanks for sharing! 😊❤👏🏽
❤️❤️❤️
Hi Jodi!
Thank you
You can hairspray the dried flowers and it’ll keep them for much longer ☺️
Your room looks so calming ❤
As for the banana bread, over mixing could cause it to be dry. 😊
Thank you Cathryn ❤️
Wow Jodi your bedrooms come a long way. You are def good at this new decorating hobby of yours. Very welcoming and the bedspreads very pretty loving all the pinks and the lamps made it!
Thank you Trish 🤗🤗
Every time you laugh, I laugh !!!! Thank you for making me laugh!!!
Laughter is the best for our bodies so I’m glad you laugh with me Jeanne ❤️❤️
Another great video! I really appreciate that you shared your weight loss journey. I had a similar situation where I lost weight several years ago but gained it back and then some. I keep procrastinating starting a weight loss program. It's time to start. Thanks
Amy thank you for sharing with me as well. It always helps knowing I’m not alone ❤️
Just a suggestion if your bread came out dry. Just add one third of a cup of vegetable oil and it makes your bread a little more moist. Just add as much vegetable oil as you need.
Hello hello hello! Basement looks good! Thanks for the bedroom inspiration.
Thank you Lisa 🤗
I love the pink and green in your bedroom.
Thank you ❤️
Jodie, your bedroom looks absolutely gorgeous and your new lamps make it pop. So lovely with your new carpet as well. You have come so far and seem to enjoy cleaning so much more! Jo from Australia xxx
Thank you so much Jo 🤗
Hi Jodi and Donna Jean. Thank you for sharing your perspective that if you do put your mind to it, anything is achievable.
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for sharing!
I dont think ive ever clicked on a video so fast. XD
I want to declutter more of my closet, though i have a very minimal amount of clothes already, i just feel like i could do better.
Thank you for always keeping it real! Every room in my house needs to be decluttered, I really need to get started. I also laughed way too hard at the hole in the pants. Thanks for sharing, Jodi. I always love your videos. I've been bad about commenting, but I'm watching them all. ❤️
Julie what in the world was I doing 😂
Always love seeing your comments but I get busy sometimes and forgot to comment on videos so no worries at all friend 🤗
Thank you for sharing with me also ❤️
It does suck! And I’m so happy to hear you are making progress. That is fantastic 👏🤗
PS - a Spanx ad popped up during your video! 😁
Love the inspo!! My favorite banana bread recipe is using a box of Krusteaz, adding walnuts & smashed bananas😁😁😁
Thank you Gail ❤️
Banana Bread is often better either on day 2 or even day 3 after it has been made (or spread with butter 😉)... I'm from the 🇬🇧 and the Bero Banana Bread recipe is my go to.... love it
A packet of vanilla pudding in the banana bread will take it to next level!!!
Lol.
Loved today's video. U will get back on track. Hope u have a good week
I remember the lamps, in fact I have stuck with you since the beginning because I also remember when you bought the night stands lol....I never miss your videos I really enjoy your content and your personality. Hugs from Ontario xoxo
Thank you so much Dayna! Appreciate you being here ❤️
Those poor cute lamps have been sitting in my basement for months 😂
Always look forward to your vids. The recipe looks pretty standard to me. What I do differently is turn the temp down for baking. I preheat at 350, bake at 275 & about 7 mins to finish I turn oven up to 350 for a golden brown finish. It takes longer but it comes out moist every time.
Thank you for sharing that ❤️
Looks awesome jodi ! 🤗👍❤️
I enjoyed you drawers declutter, I declutter end my pantry, boy what a job, by the way I love your bedroom lamps they are perfect. Your basement looks awesome. I love your videos Jodi and I look so forward to seeing you videos. Thank you for saring
I love just listening to you and your daughters chats. They are just so sweet.
❤️❤️❤️
Sour cream is my secret ingredient. I can't remember if I said I'm finally get my scrapbook room. I'm still moving out the youngest. But hopefully by the end of the weekend I will have the last of his stuff out.
The lamps are so cute ❤️ your room turned out amazing with them.
Donna Jean is so sweet, she reminds me a little bit of me when I had her age ☺️ (I'm 31 now).
Thank you Blanca 🤗
Donna is such a sweet girl ❤️
Jodi, you are absolutely AMAZING!
Awe thank you Doris ❤️
Thank you for sharing. It is so encouraging. Please take us along on your journey. I could use anything you have to share ❤
I just love ure energy & all the best for the diet! U can freeze the benanas the day brfore. When they defrost its just way sweeter😌
Thank you Chanelle ❤️
Hi Jodi, I so enjoy your videos, you are so fun, I’m loving how your journey is going, your house looks great.😊
Thank you Kay ❤️
I forget to change out of my "house shoes" all the time. Which often makes me so mad! I showed up to Thanksgiving dinner in my flaming orange Crocs and a black velvet dress. I looked like Daffy Duck. I didn't even notice until I arrived at my destination. What the heck? I didn't know if I was more annoyed at myself, or my hubby for not saying anything. Ha!
Oh my gosh that made me laugh so hard 😂😂😂😂
It’s a real problem! I often don’t realize I don’t have regular shoes on until I arrive as well 🤷♀️
I love my UGG slippers. My husband bought mine for me about 3 Christmas's ago and they are still going strong. I will probably replace them with another pair when these bite the dust.
Denise they are definitely the most comfortable slippers I’ve ever worn ❤️
I like the lamps.
Yay top 100 comments and top 502 likes. Love this content. Best to you and your family. Happy new year!!!
Thank you ❤️
Isn't it fun that in Michigan you can have 3 out of the 4 seasons the same day?! When you find a recipe you like, but it is dry, try using a bit less (maybe 2 tablespoons) flour the next time.
Thank you ❤️❤️
Hi Jodi 👋 your bed drawers are great for extra storage.
2)70#. Woohoo.oh. 3yrs+ pandemic. I get that.yes. every moment is a chance for another choice. External vs internal acceptance & personal growth. Yep.
3) Thom was waiting his turn.
4) tjmaxx lamps. ..looks great 😃.
5) tax decluttering is on tap here. 😆
6) went to work on resealing around my tub with that seal stuff( ad seals giant hole in boat) that was delayed due to pandemic keeping more people home ( takes3-4 days to dry in my damp house).
Hi Lola 🤗
Thank you so much. Yes downsizing is hard! I’m glad my videos have helped ❤️
Sending you lots of hugs and prayers that there are more great days 🙏
Great Video
I find if the banana bread recipe calls for two bananas, I will use four or six to make it moister and I also put orange juice in mine.
The lamps look perfect!
Jodi, after watching these videos you post, you have definitely inspired me to work on my house lol I have started decluttering just after Christmas!. Throwing away a lot of old stuff.
Yay Salissa that is so so exciting 👏👏👏
It's definitely a process & I have to do in chunks of time also!
