For the rug I would measure it out with painters tape before you order it so you can see what it would be like. Also when you decorate or make it over move Clark’s crate to where the lamp and chair are. That way you don’t see it as soon as you walk in the front door.
DONNA JEAN, I have a bookmark collection, too!!! I put mine in a small "pencil box" that's about the size of a lunch box. My "dupes" go into a pencil cupholder for sending in cards to remind people I care about them. 🙂
My tip for you would be to move the craft desk to the corner where the chair is and put the desk against the wall towards the hallway (not the wall where you put up the picture frame). And put the chair in the corner where the craft desk was. It will break up the wall and it will feel a lot airier.

Hello Jodi and fam. Almost everyone made an appearance today. Lol. Nice job Jodi as always. Also forgot to mention about blankets. My granddaughter is obsessed with blankets lol. Both of us bought a sew sweet minky blanket about 4 years ago and we are so in love with them. I’ve never paid that much even for a whole bed set before. Haha. My hubs thought we were crazy but of course he said get it cause you never buy yourself anything. Well guess what , ever since he got really sick with covid 2 or 3 years ago that’s the only blanket he uses every single night ❤. I gladly gave it up for him to be back home with me.
@@jodidunnmymessylife1847 prob don’t even look. Lol. Because if you get one, then Donna Jean, Viv and other daughter and both grand babies will need them too. Haha. Then, the next thing you know you’ll need a full-time job😂😂😂❤️
Hi! I so enjoy your videos. I am working to declutter our laundry room which is also our storage room. I have a ton of paperwork to sort through!! Thanks for the motivation and doing things in small chunks of time helps me too!
Something I did to help my decluttering Is get a fairly decent size basket and it sits in a couple hot spots in my house and I fill them up with things that go to other rooms instead of having it just all sit out everywhere and then once a day every few days I pick up the basket and put the basket away. Because the basket is pretty and works in the rooms it doesn’t look bad if it’s full and it makes it look tidier in rooms. I love that hack that someone taught me. I have implemented it just a few weeks ago so that’s my new decluttering thing. I also have a basket that sits near the stairs so I bring it downstairs every once in a while. I hate taking multiple trips so I finally the basket and now it’s just a habit. If I’m going down I grab it haha. I look forward to seeing what you do with your living room.
Hello from Estonia! ❤ Hi, Jodi! (Sorry if my English is bad) You can consider me new to your channel, but I have been subscribing muuuch longer than that and watching all the older videos of your journey to declutter your home up to this one. You have done a wonderful job! I love your house (wish I have something so nice and big (or even half of that size😅)) ❤. Me myself have been down this declutter\organize lane and absolutely loved it. I didn't have as much stuff as you had so the videos have been giving me more excitement than my own decluttering 😅 I have been wanting to address my thoughts on this room and dining room since I saw the first round of decluttering videos. It came to my head (and haven't been able to pass that thought) that switching the rooms would look better and more functional to have bigger grand dining room and office\art studio that can be closed and more private when needed. The office size would be more downsized to its needs and can still fit all EJ's toys too. Office and art nooks are always looking a bit more messy than other rooms with all the cords and little stuff so that change gives you also opportunity to just close the door when there's something in action. The dining room now looks like it might be pretty cramped up with people sitting around table. But in the bigger room it would still have nice speace around even with longer table. I would leave armchair corner there and even add to the other side one aswell. Maybe even grandfather clock there. At least it fits better with all the wooden furnitures looks. And in Christmas season I believe you would have an option to but Christmas tree up in this room if you would like. So, that's what's have been on my mind. I hope you see that comment and maybe this is helpful for your future plans. ❤
Whoot Whoot for more decluttering! I really want to redecorate/change things around but I haven't....yet. I need to start and declutting would certainly help! Thanks for sharing and have a great week!
Wow! Great transformation!! I know you feel better! And now let the doorbell ring! 😃 Of course, you know what they say- if the house is clean, nobody is coming over! 😅 Organizing and boxing up donations over here. Always. Have a blessed week! 💝
Jodi, why don't you find an area in the Basement where you can turn into an Office for yourself? All your products are down there, and you can get another file cabinet for your Couponing, YT Channel and Hone Paperwork and add shelves. You can also take all Business information from your kitchen cabinet and dining room and put it all in one place.
Hi Jodi! Wonderful job! I'm the same way when I declutter....it all gets donated because I don't want to take the time to sell or consign items. I just want them gone! Donna Jean, excellent job on decluttering and rolling those blankets!
I truly love seeing Donna Jean in your videos She is such an amazing daughter you have My granddaughter has a huge collection of blankets and always wants more Thank you
The room looks great! You got rid of a ton of stuff. Can't wait to see the makeover. You inspired my goal this year. I'm going to declutter every room. It's a process. Finally finished the first room yesterday. It feels so much better already. We did do a little at a time. Now on to the next room!
The room looks amazing. One small suggestion. Flip Clark’s cage to the other side so when someone come through the front door they see the chair and lamp instead of his kennel. Great job lady!!
Yes I’m back again 😁 those half wall planters could be renovated into small built in bookshelves. I don’t know if you have the budget for that but it’s an idea.
Hello. Thanks so much for sharing your home. I started in my bedroom nightstand . Omg the stuff had in there. I took your advice and just worked at things in small increments of time. It works . Next, under my bathroom sink. Wish me luck. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Really enjoyed this and your advice for others… I’ve heard you say many times that you don’t do your decluttering all in one shot, which I think is great advice! But I do think you owe a lot of your success to your consistency, which I am regularly impressed by. I hope you give yourself credit for doing something towards decluttering/simplifying/prettying your space each and every week. How do you eat an elephant? hey Jodi. Have you thought about giving your kid a pinboard where she could display her bookmark collection? I just imagines how cute that would be to hang on the wall 🙂 Edit: I think overall a pinboard over her art table so she can hang her art would be lovely!
I am not tech savvy either but seems like you shut off your LAN connection there should be a button on the keyboard that looks like a cell phone tower. May have to hold down control while pressing it at the same time to turn it back on. Also like the chair where it is moved away from the corner not smushed up against the lamp but I would just angle it slightly in the spot it’s in. Also hubby’s good at helping hang things but I see he’s always measuring. It would have been ok to have the pic slightly to the right more over the chair not letting the lamp shade block it. It doesn’t have to be exactly half way between the corner and the window. But it was very nice of him to hang it with you. As always I love all of your videos always looking forward to the next one. So happy you said you found a rug. That will be nice for the kids to play on. I think 8 x 10 looks about right for the size. Desk is going to look great with the box down and baskets up for the cricut supplies. You always amaze me whenever you complete these tasks. And I also love how you talk us through it. Always so relatable.
Have you thought of moving your office stuff and Donna Jean's to the basement and turn your front room into a playroom? That's what I did (Nana of 9 grandbaby's) I even picked 1 wall and put 4 poster sized frames of things my 4 kids did when they were little. I used all of the other walls for pics of grand kids. I bought a kids table and some white storage stands for toys. then a tv for them up on the wall for cartoons (Netflix) I also put up a permanent swing open type gate to keep my dog out of there. I made it a rule all toys have to stay in the playroom. So many cute things now a days to decorate playrooms. The best part is the kids help pick up before they leave and you don't have to stress when people come over because it's a playroom. Just a thought. I love your house!
I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned this but depending on the operating system you have, you go to start - system 19:20 settings - network, look for the Wi-Fi area and select it. There are settings to turn the Wi-Fi on and off. Turn it on and make sure it is set to manually turn it on and off. Then close everything and go to the bottom right and look for the wireless bars and click on them and select your wireless network.

We are decluttering as well and it seems neverending with 8 in my family..lol We are also, redoing the bathrooms and painting and eventually, getting new floors. Everything is so expensive!! I'm starting to feel better decluttering, but it is hard to figure out what to keep and what not to keep!
Hi Jodi👋 My decluttering for this week were my fridge, I clean the center 2 shelves and then had to go take a nap. 😆 Then I did just the bottom of it's freezer the next day. After that I did that freezer top shelf. Consolidated all the bits bags into 1 vege bag to add to rice or soups. Found enough bags of scraps to do another gallon of chicken broth for soups, rices, potatoes or just a pick me up hot cup of broth instead of coffee.
@@jodidunnmymessylife1847 I'm doing good. Broth is easy as I use crockpot. Put in chicken back + neck from whole chicken or just a really large thigh bone in skin on for flavor, peels or not used parts ( not moldy or rotten) from garlic- onions- celery- carrot peels & ends-parsley stalks or leaves that I've frozen in gal zipper bags. Then add water to top rim. Put on high overnight. If started at suppertime top off water just before bed. In morning. Turn off. Put colander in large bowl & tong out everything leaving most of broth behind. Ladle broth through fine mesh seive over funnel. Lid up . After 1 hour in colander, squeeze liquid out of all the parts. Put squeezed parts into trash or compost. Take broth in bowl & repeat to jar up. Broth can be used immediately or fridged & used within 5 days. The fat will rise on top & you can remove but when reheating broth you will find flavor in that fat. I use mine in lots of things I'm doing better. It's a process. I'm finding it takes longer as I get older. 😆
If you have an old crib side and a way to secure it so the dog can't knock it down, they make great baby gates. We have a Lane cedar chest/bench near the stairs that we can slid the crib side behind and we hook a dog collar to the other end and snap it to the railing support. Easy unlatch and move for anyone but toddlers. Baby gates are so temperamental!
I cleaned up my clothing chair in my bedroom, and have been redoing where I store sewing stuff and hopefully starting on my storage room soon. Thinking it will turn into a workroom/pantry.
Great job. It looks so good. I'm living my life thru you vicariously. Lol I need to declutter my house. It's all cleaned up and straightened up. Just need to declutter cabinets and closets and the attic! I need to spring clean I guess. Lol. But I babysit my 16 month old grandaughter 4 days a week. Then I'm too tired. 🤪 i love every single minute of it as I know you know what I mean. Can't wait til your next video.
Hi Jody, sometimes Microsoft Windows can really help you when there is an issue like you are describing. When you have your laptop open, check the bottom right hand side of your task bar and click on the network icon. You may be able to play around with that and perhaps even click on the troubleshooting option. That may help.
I enjoy watching all the progress you have made decluttering. On your laptop, double check to see if the "airplane mode" is on. I accidently hit that key and it took me hours to figure out that the wifi was blocked with just that.
The room looks fabulous. Well done on all the donations 👏 Oh I guessed Clarke would master the stairs which leads to the cat food, oh the fun of remembering to put away the food. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏🙏💪👍🤞💐🦮🐈⬛🐈
I did it differently, I wrote down what I wanted to keep and trashed everything else, so after 2 years and 24 rounds, my problem was the trash money, I opted for the landfill as I have no car to donate and selling is a hassle. Mostly it took just over a week to get the month round ready. Now I do it every month to declutter to get it back to how it was and it's mostly boxing I have got during the month, cat food, and so on so I do that at the end of every month now but seldom get anything out now as if I bring something in such as a pan one has to go out The golden thing for me is if I want to buy something I make sure I can't use something I have already to avoid bringing in something and nothing big. Aim for everything off the floor then move onto the sides shelves and so on.
You can always get some cute duct trap and cover the box to keep your cricket stuff. I rearranged my living room and put all my grandson toys in his mom's old bed, he only comes 2 days a week. I just bring them out when he comes
Oh my, I started decluttering 3 weeks ago in my kitchen and laundry room. Left myself with 2 empty cupboards and 1 empty drawer. Now, I need to get stuff to give away or donate off my dining room table. ☺
If I may can I suggest for your CRICUT maybe get a three tiered cart from JoAnn’s Fabric, IKEA or Walmart? They have tops to put on the top of cart for the machine and use the others trays for your supplies. That way you could roll it in your room where you want to craft and then store it in corner etc.. I recently got one for my JOY CRICUT and bought a top on ESTY for my little JOY and my vinyl rolls are in the shelves and so on. I put a older embroidered dresser scarf as a cover so it won’t get dusty! ☺️

Jodi, just a suggestion..........how about putting a coat rack by your front door.....it seems the jackets end up on the dining room chairs.....and a wall of hooks by your entrance from the garage....it looks like the jackets end up on the chairs in your kitchen. 🌻🌻🌻🌻

Then I did just the bottom of it's freezer the next day. After that I did that freezer top shelf. Consolidated all the bits bags into 1 vege bag to add to rice or soups. Found enough bags of scraps to do another gallon of chicken broth for soups, rices, potatoes or just a pick me up hot cup of broth instead of coffee.
Edie how have you been feeling?
Finding enough to do a gallon broth sounds wonderful!
I use mine in lots of things
I'm doing better. It's a process. I'm finding it takes longer as I get older. 😆
Hey, Hi & Hello! 👋🏾 Thanks for the motivation!
❤️❤️❤️
So satisfying to watch your videos! keep up the hard work🤍🤍
Thank you Reese ❤️
You did a great job cleaning up!! The room looks so much better 😊
Thank you Elaine ❤️
Such a good job! I love taking things out of the house🙂!
Nancy it is truly like a weight being lifted ❤️
It looks fantastic. The storage cube boxes work good for the cricut things. I am so excited for you. Hi Donna Jean 👋🏻💚👋🏻💚👋🏻💚
Thank you Sondra ❤️
If you have an old crib side and a way to secure it so the dog can't knock it down, they make great baby gates. We have a Lane cedar chest/bench near the stairs that we can slid the crib side behind and we hook a dog collar to the other end and snap it to the railing support. Easy unlatch and move for anyone but toddlers. Baby gates are so temperamental!
Oh great idea! Thanks for sharing ❤️
We don’t have any old cribs unfortunately
You did wonderful job...💘🖤💖
Thank you Vicki ❤️
Just love watching your videos. Clark is a doll
Thank you Karol 🤗
A big rug! 15x12 is the size I have. The big rug makes my narrow rectangular room feel bigger and grounded
Oh wow that is big. Thank you ❤️❤️
I agree! Big!! Chris Loves Julia has a great blog post on how to pick the right size rug for a room
Hi, I enjoy watching you clean.🎉❤😊😅
Thank you Joan 🤗
Oh Tara yes I know how exhausting and rewarding it is to spend time with grandbabies. You just enjoy your time with her ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Jody, sometimes Microsoft Windows can really help you when there is an issue like you are describing. When you have your laptop open, check the bottom right hand side of your task bar and click on the network icon. You may be able to play around with that and perhaps even click on the troubleshooting option. That may help.
Thank you Julie ❤️
I enjoy watching all the progress you have made decluttering. On your laptop, double check to see if the "airplane mode" is on. I accidently hit that key and it took me hours to figure out that the wifi was blocked with just that.
Oh my gosh thank you. I didn’t even know there was an airplane mode. I’ll check that Dawn ❤️
Hi Mary 🤗
Yes it was quick and now I wish he wasn’t climbing the stairs 😂
I did it differently, I wrote down what I wanted to keep and trashed everything else, so after 2 years and 24 rounds, my problem was the trash money, I opted for the landfill as I have no car to donate and selling is a hassle.
Mostly it took just over a week to get the month round ready.
Now I do it every month to declutter to get it back to how it was and it's mostly boxing I have got during the month, cat food, and so on so I do that at the end of every month now but seldom get anything out now as if I bring something in such as a pan one has to go out
The golden thing for me is if I want to buy something I make sure I can't use something I have already to avoid bringing in something and nothing big.
Aim for everything off the floor then move onto the sides shelves and so on.
You can always get some cute duct trap and cover the box to keep your cricket stuff. I rearranged my living room and put all my grandson toys in his mom's old bed, he only comes 2 days a week. I just bring them out when he comes
That’s awesome Alora ❤️
Gosh amazed to see all the snow outside your window! we have 'spring' in the Uk with Snowdrops, crocus and daffodils starting to bloom.
Oh gosh we aren’t there. Just got done with another bought of ice 🤦♀️
I had a bookmark collection too. I think i saw puppy smooches while vacuuming
You definitely did. Clarke gets so many kisses he’s probably sick of it 😂
Jodi, I'm so excited I almost can't take it!!! Lol.
Hi Carolyn 🤗
Really good job 👏 👍
Thank you ❤️❤️
You could use an old shoe box to store the bookmarks to keep them safe and together
Great job!!!
Thank you Melissa ❤️
Oh my, I started decluttering 3 weeks ago in my kitchen and laundry room. Left myself with 2 empty cupboards and 1 empty drawer. Now, I need to get stuff to give away or donate off my dining room table. ☺
That’s awesome Karen! Congratulations 👏👏
Wow! The room looks fantastic.
Thank you ❤️
If I may can I suggest for your CRICUT maybe get a three tiered cart from JoAnn’s Fabric, IKEA or Walmart? They have tops to put on the top of cart for the machine and use the others trays for your supplies. That way you could roll it in your room where you want to craft and then store it in corner etc.. I recently got one for my JOY CRICUT and bought a top on ESTY for my little JOY and my vinyl rolls are in the shelves and so on. I put a older embroidered dresser scarf as a cover so it won’t get dusty! ☺️
Thank you ❤️❤️
I love that dog💕
❤️❤️❤️
Great decluttering
Thank you Doris ❤️
Hi I am a recent subscriber from England. I'm off work this week after having an eye operation. I have been binge watching your videos and really enjoying it, without feeling guilty . Keep up the fantastic job you're doing 🧐💕
Hi Pauline 🤗
Thanks so much for being here! I hope your eye feels fast and you feel better soon 🙏
Thank you Jodi. I'm doing well. I keep seeing things that need cleaning that I didn't see before I had my cataracts done 🤣
Thanks for sharing 👍 love your videos and love your animals ❤️ I just got a new cat that someone threw out I took him to the vet he was very sick and had to remove one eye and I love him so much. 😢 my other to cats live him so much. Thanks for loving your cats and dogs like me I have 3 rescuer dogs too .thanks again. Love seeing your family in your videos.
Oh that poor kitty!! I’m so glad you found it and got it the vet ❤️❤️
Jodi, just a suggestion..........how about putting a coat rack by your front door.....it seems the jackets end up on the dining room chairs.....and a wall of hooks by your entrance from the garage....it looks like the jackets end up on the chairs in your kitchen. 🌻🌻🌻🌻
We don’t ever come in and out from the front door so it just wouldn’t make sense.
That’s hubs and I putting our jackets there 😂
I love Clark!
🥰🥰🥰
Looks great
Thanks Sharon ❤️
I am working on decluttering decor. I feel like I try to fill every space and I don’t have to. Easier to dust and clean! 2 car trunk loads gone!
Yay Melanie 👏👏👏
2 trunk loads gone is amazing ❤️
I just subscribed and can't stop binge watching.😻😸😺 Love the cats. I have 3. My beagle named Bella died in Jan. She was 14 yrs old. So I relate to the loss of your Great Dane. Love your new dog.
Awe Gayle I’m so sorry for loss of Bella! Sending you big hugs 🤗
The pink and blue could have also been from old printer cartridges.
Ahhh that might be it Sharon. I do put them up when they are empty until I take them to get recycled
You can always add a light-colored rug in the living room or find a piece of Remnant carpet to put in there. Which can be very economical.
Thank you Jac ❤️
I know I say this all the time but thank you again for a great video.!!!
Thank you so much Kristy ❤️❤️
Yep my house took about 2 yrs!
You crack me up!
Book Mark Collection! I am dying! “If I never need a bookmark I know where to go. No!” Love it❤️❤️❤️
She is so funny 😂
Just recently came across your channel. I absolutely love your personality!
Hi Barbara 🤗
Thank you so much ❤️
Luv it
❤️❤️
