Food addiction is the hardest addiction because you can't quit fully. You have to eat food to live
Yea, Ive kicked a lot of addictions just stopping cold turkey. You can't do that with food. Especially when you've gotten yrself to this point. It's hard to come back from. But if the 1000 pounds sisters from TLC managed to get their lives back, theres still hope he can save himself before its too late.
I'm an obese food addict with severe diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea etc. I wish I was any other type of addict so I could quit cold turkey. I have the worst addiction in the world!!

As a larger guy myself, people don't understand that this type of eating is directly connected to either stress eating or depression eating, usually coming from dealing with loss or a feeling of emptiness, literally trying to fill that empty feeling with food, much like people who get addicted to drugs or alcohol. It's almost always an emotionally charged eating disorder. The thing that bothers me most is that when someone is suffering from anorexia or bulimia they get sympathy from the masses. But when it's the opposite, and the disorder is overeating, they usually get made fun of or called lazy, ignoring the mental aspects of it. Therapy or counseling is heavily needed for people in this condition to fully improve.
I think Mori has talked about that lady that looks skeleton like and not getting help (has anorexia)

A lot of if not most of the people on this show faced rough childhoods and different types of abuse in their early years.
It can really be anything, it's like the old fight or flight situation when trying to lose weight, it's definetly not easy

My 600 lb life is so... depressing.
He is definitely sick, addicted to food and needs professional help. I don't know how he feels but I know I felt terrible with 120kgs, now I am at 78kgs and feel great. Changed my diet, continuing to workout which I neglected for a while and voila! Just excluding white sugar took off several kgs in a few months...
yeah ive been losing weight as well and i feel both mentally and physically better than ive ever felt.
Congratulations! That is also such a big achievement. I was also 98kg by the time I finished high-school and was dealing with stress from being bullied and also past SA trauma. I pulled my socks up last year and I'm now down to 86kg and becoming happier by the day! I'm so proud of myself🥰

@@Blueberry-kt1pkyou are right, I usually watch obesetobeast and his respect, empathy and understanding of obese people is what made me understand the difference between encouraging and bulling in the name of "motivating" obese people to lose weight. Telling an obese person to "just drop the food" is like telling a drug addict to "drop the needle". It's not encouragement but judgement and it's just so ugly to look at. Mori's video about the trans voice actor didn't sit well with me as well because I wouldn't want a bigoted game developer using my voice with the intent of setting the intent to hurt the black community for the most racist black character without my consent and knowledge. Looks like I've grown out of Mori's content now

literally i wouldn't even think of food for around 4 hours after i wake up, then i might eat 7 hours after i wake up, first thing i do when i wake up is Thank God for another day and then have a shower and then get my day going.
I asked my parents "why did you let me eat so much?"
They wanted me to be happy. Lol, mentally it fucked me up. I'm fit now but still see the other guy in the mirror.

1:49 Nah Mori, that's just classic but very sad case of having an eating disorder. As someone who had something similar, its just a huge addiction that you can't ever shake. Waking up and just having a habit of eating a ton of food, seeing a ton of food and feeling like you HAVE to eat it. Its just how an eating disorder is. The mind always just finds a way to get you to stuff your face more, even if you're aware that its a problem.
I was more than half this man's weight a couple years ago and had to go to the emergency room for elevated blood sugar. I got put on diabetes medication and that kickstarted my weight loss. Now I'm a little less than half his weight lol
