Scott, just a reminder that without the machinery that you fix, maintain, and keep running, Nick could have ALL the ambition in the world, but without those machines, he'd be pretty stuck. You two make an awesome team together, which I'm sure makes your Dad very proud!! 😊
You guys deserve a good crop in 2025,after all the failures you endured, you are hard working and seem to handle any equipment failure, you are an amazing family and dad and Colby, it’s so cute the way he handles Colby, love it
Welkers “Rock around the clock tonight” to get the job done! Mr. Welker has instilled humor, an impressive work ethic and self reliance into his sons, real American values! Much respect Sir!
what impresses me the most is all the knowledge you guys have with all the technology. how farmers can maintain their equipment and fabrications. i know its a hard life but you guys make it look like its so much fun.
Those Big Buds look so awsome. One day I would like to watch them work from a safe distance. It is so inspiring to see them in the field doing what they do so well. Hats off to you guy for keeping them running.
Dad is awesome!!! Love his humor and watching him enjoy farming probably more now than ever!!! Thank you Walker family for sharing your farm life with us!!!
Back on the home place, our summer fallow got behind on the cultivation. Weeds waist high. My bother and I kept our IHC 660 and the Kruse chisel cultivator going for 1 solid week. Tractor never shut down. We fueled and lubed the machine, swapped drivers and kept going. I liked the night shift. Cool and when it was clear, you could see all the Heavens from horizon to horizon. We eventually finished with that, and started preparing for wheat harvest with the IHC SP-140. Great memories of my youth close to Big Sandy.
Thanks for another great video Welkers. It was most interesting and enjoyable to watch for sure. Once again, your introduction to the video was absolutely inspiring and fantastic!!!!’ A beautiful and wonderful intro to farming in America!!!!!!!!🇺🇸 Great job on the introduction!!!!! Ever so glad you got those rains to give you MOISTURE for seeding your winter wheat crop-a blessing from above for sure. I can understand why you are pushing to get the winter wheat in the ground because now you have the moisture for a good start. Just wonderful!!!!!! Love the idea of running the seeder through the nite to cover as many acres as possible. With the Big Bud down waiting for a wheel bearing it was important to run the other one to cover as many acres as possible. We have done that ourselves to bet the weather getting our crop in. I kind of enjoyed running the tractor though the night ; kind of gave you the feeling of empowerment and a great sense of the crop is in the ground - mission accomplishment!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice going Welkers!!!!!! Sincerely hope the bearing part shows up and you can get the Big Bud going with the other seeder and cover twice as much acres. Will be anxious for the next video to see how you came out. You deserve a really good year with moisture after the last few years. Sending my blessings to you all. May god watch over you all. The Iowa farm boy. Steve 😊👍✅🙏🙏💕🇺🇸
We had a black cat when I was young. Mama and Daddy had friends over for supper, so I painted a stripe down his back with white shoe polish and turned him loose while they were eating. I have never chopped so much wood in my life.
@michaeltablet8577 Wow! That's pretty cool! Can you trace your family back to the Valley of VA? Or even to PA? I go back to a Jacob Ott in PA, and I can look further back than that by asking my sister.
@MorganOtt-ne1qj my ancestors didn't keep good records. We traced back to North Carolina in the 1800s . My great grand parents settled near Shreveport Louisiana, where I was born, but i moved to Texas years ago.
When i first saw Colby riding on that fender I thought if Colby played guitar it would be a Fender but of course the king of puns "Bob" beat me to it. The rains a blessing and this family is not going to let it go by. That is what farmers do make when the sun shines.
B-L-E-S-S-I-N-G = moisture! I was the "night' Guy and I loved running at night because 2 things: engines seemed to run better and the dark was like a dense forest that encompassed you. Unfortunately, I didn't have Coby as my shot-gunner 👍😎✝ God Bless!
Coby on the fender...you know work is getting done!! Great idea going all night. got a sunset and a sunrise out of this. Very impressive. I really appreciate how you maximize your production when there is a problem. Tractor goes down, get both sprayers out, run the drill round the clock! Take advantage of the water coming in. very cool!!
Always love it when yall post. Can't wait for the Bud to be all fixed up... I feel ya with bearing failure! Both of our trucks recently had bad rear ends due to shot bearings. A much smaller scale but still very expensive for the everyday 9-5 folk. Good to see you guys staying busy and doing what you love. God bless you guys!!
When we were farming full time we never ran after dark since LED lights didn't exist in 1965. Our combine only had a 12 or 16 foot header, no rear wheel assist so we spent lots of time extracting the old Case combine from the mud. How I would love to do tillage with a big Case quad and harvest with that AF11. That's what dreams are made of.
What would be verry cool is to have somebody make a Damascus knife with the Welker crest engraved in the handle. The Damascus made from the roller bearings of that large bearing. To give away or to raffle off. With the proceeds give to someone in the farming community. Who has lost some one in a farming accident or has had a very bad health problem.
Boy, Welkers, EPIC opening to a great piece of work. Glad the moisture is coming, couldn’t be better timed. Best of luck and keep up the great entertainment.
I am so happy for you guys that you're getting some moisture which you definitely need I hope the parts come in so you can get that other tractor fixed so you can have two tractors going at the same time and be more productive
Skunk!!!! Brother was swathing hay, two of those things, got in swather path and he chopped their tails off.. tomato juice and swather took a couple days break!!!
A note to your dad about his kitty! In Tenn. we called them a black kitty with a racing stripe, also, a two toned kitty with fluid drive. You might have to talk to a older citizen like myself to get educated on the last one! remember Buicks! lol!
The Welker boys are the best farming crew to watch working through the night! Hard working, dedicated professionals, great family men and God’s best caretakers of the earth. Love your Big Buds and Big Brute, they sure can hum ride through the night and into the new day.
Ahhh man... I enjoyed every second of this one. Good old family farming. Making the most of the great moisture while you have it, and putting in the hours to get it done. I smiled from ear to ear. Thanks Welkers, from drought riddled South Australia. Possibly the worst one we've seen in 100 years, but nice to someone getting the rain they desperately need.
I’ve pulled all nighters many times after working all day. What’s terrible is when you finally quit working and want to get some rest so you can get back out there but can’t go to sleep regardless of what you do.
My longest day was going to cut hay at 9pm, after 14 hours of tending to feeding and milking, I ate dinner, checked the weather, and cut 40 acres of millet to get a nap at 4AM before I went back to milk. But when the sun came up, the millet was starting to dry.
Yuk. I remember the all nighters all too well. Trying to get something in before a nice rain event. Like winter oats...timing with a incoming fall wet cold front. Be waiting to last minute so I wouldn't waste seed on no rain. God bless y'all. Work hard and reap the rewards.
I wish this was mandatory for school kids to learn. To learn that people work hard and have to make do with what they have, and what they can make , just to grow our food. Here in Australia farmers were victimised by the Hawke and Keating governments, suicides skyrocketed on farms. Farms have got bigger but way more susceptible to fire and introduced animals. It was great to see your dad care for the native animal, we all grew up around them and don't want to lose them.
It's so cool seeing Knapheide truck beds all over the country; let's just say the Knapheides originate from my home town. ;) No, I don't work for them... just a local ag cooperative. :D Love seeing the Welkers still going strong and with new equipment and family members all these years later. God (JEHOVA) bless!
Always love the opening scenes. Such beautiful country and machinery. Love the Welkers quality drone footage. Nick they say you get more wheat in a crooked row. That was what we would say to the neighbors if there was a good. 😊
Did many many all nighters as a mechanic. I always tell people that I was the guy keeping the wheels of industry moving, if I had to work all night I did. Its not easy but sometimes one just has to step up to the plate. Good call Nick. Love the opening montage, so cool to see. I still say who ever is the editor, you should make a long clip of some of the best openings from the year.
Bob, we call them "pole cats" and by the way, they do have a "long range". Again, not trying to make y'all spend more money but, I really hope you consider doing all 4 wheels for those bearings and seals. I know many think, "it's fine, we'll wait" then regret it later when in the middle of working, one or all the other's go out when you need it the most. Need to think of it as an "investment" into the equipment because, that's really what it is. Here in KS, we're in a drought currently.
around here we would use a min tillage tool called a turbo till and fit all the winter wheat acres before drilling the wheat i ran that tool and did all nighters to geat ahead of the drill i do not miss them that is for sure
I think i did"nt understand it well. Did you seed without auto-steer in the dark? I did work at night as a truckdriver. Did like it more than the day. You can make miles without delays. But no more now. I like to sleep at night. Not that early. In the 70"s when i worked in agriculture it was always late and dark while harvesting patatoes and sugarbeets. But working the night over we did seldom. Wish you happy seeding in good conditions and blessings.
You’re a man like myself Nick , seeding , or cultivating , whatever all night , work for as long as you can while the conditions are good . Old saying in the U. K. “ Make hay while the sun shines “ We can rest when the job is done . Best of luck guys .🤞🤞
I love it.Good idea to run shifts. Leg arms I am not a morning person. Never have been. I worked as a mechanic for a McDonnell Douglas flight test and always worked the second 2:00 till 2:30 in the morning I start the function about noon or 1:00 after I drink a gallon of coffee and then I don't slow down until midnight now and I'm 76.. keep looking up he's coming soon. Here in ESSEX COUNTY just across the border from DETROIT MICH. back when I farmed we planted winter wheat in SEPT. and if we did not we had snow. Now we plant maybe til late OCT. due climate change today.

You guys are so wonderful! I am so grateful to be able to watch your videos from my apartment in Beijing Cn.
Nice than already running a new seazon, nice to see it, also it would be nice for update about Nick's hause... ofcourse after big jobs... keep pushing guys, you are motivated others...
The opening footage is my FAVORITE Welker’s farm view! Coby on the fender of a Big Bud.
Colby used to ride at (standing) attention on all the prior years. Age catches us all. Good to see him still going and enjoying the ride.
Scott, just a reminder that without the machinery that you fix, maintain, and keep running, Nick could have ALL the ambition in the world, but without those machines, he'd be pretty stuck. You two make an awesome team together, which I'm sure makes your Dad very proud!! 😊

I love seeing Coby resting on the Bib Bud fender, when underway. Bob and Coby what a duo.
what impresses me the most is all the knowledge you guys have with all the technology. how farmers can maintain their equipment and fabrications. i know its a hard life but you guys make it look like its so much fun.
According to some idiot politician to farm all you have to do is poke a hole in the ground and drop in the seed!😂
Most farmers in their 20-30s these days have AS or BS degrees in AG or some related field. Even MBAs.
Those Big Buds look so awsome. One day I would like to watch them work from a safe distance. It is so inspiring to see them in the field doing what they do so well. Hats off to you guy for keeping them running.
I mean technically you are at a safe distance watching them work 😂😂

Boy, Welkers, EPIC opening to a great piece of work. Glad the moisture is coming, couldn’t be better timed. Best of luck and keep up the great entertainment.
This is one of the best videos the Welker trio has produced. It's an education to all us non farmers. Well done.
Glad to see you guys got dirt sticking to those packer wheels! Always great to see!
I love the dog riding the fender watching for something to chase
Thank you and all our farmers that feed this great nation! Most Americans sadly have no clue.
Amazing, how you as one family working together. God bless you all.
Pray for our farmers and our Country.

Oh boy!
Here we go again!
Cheers to a good year!
Praying it’s gonna go well for you ❤
Glad to hear the weather is on your side! In the UK we had 6 inches of rain in September alone. Its been horrendous
Good call guys on watching weather and doing an All Nighter. That can make or break a crop season. Great video as always...
The Welker SHIFTIEST!

That intro is amazing, just would like to see Old Glory flying on top of the cart.

My mom was a. Little girl in SD when she brought home the little kittens-skunks home to show here mom!

So good to see Bob and his partner out seeding ready for 2025 God bless you all.
That was a great episode! Lots of insight into the challenges and rewards that come from Mother Nature in your part of the world.
Glad to see y’all getting some rain buddy!! We need some in La. Had not had a good rain for 2 months. That’s not like here in La.😁🙋🏼♂️

Good job boys. Love to see all getting it done. So much better than watching house building. Farm on boys god bless

You Welkers ain't scared to work. Good on you.
You guys are my favorite

Beautiful Tractor 😊
Great tag team planting/seeding efforts pre-storm ..... thanks too to the misssussssuses :---D
You guys work so hard its great to hear your getting the rain you need for some good crop yields next year.
Amazing how hard you guys work! 👍👍💪🙏
Nice than already running a new seazon, nice to see it, also it would be nice for update about Nick's hause... ofcourse after big jobs... keep pushing guys, you are motivated others...
What a farm with modern machinery that makes harvesting easy and efficient.
What a team! Father and sons knocking out the acres.!
SO GLAD TO SEE YOU GETTING THE MOISTURE TO BRING THE SEED OUT OF THE GROUND!! STAY SAFE.

Let's call it "Smelly"...😉
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻
Praise the Lord for the rain!!! Snd 3 am to 5 am we’re always a struggle for me when I pull the all nighter
Just like that Skunk .... a spray here .. a spray there .... here a spray there a spray .... everywhere a spray spray
Greetings from Choteau, hope you enjoyed Octobers weather.
The 600 being down, it would be great to redo the series 1 hydraulics over winter to have a backup tractor for seeding
Now that's what you call great team work.❤
Exceptional cinematic views and beautiful music to go with it. Grammy worthy!!
Awesome video . thank you so much
You all are a great team. God bless you
Love how all of you guys are involved with the channel. Awesome content as always
