Cool video. Looks like a nice area. Old mates afn bar looks good. Good to see the ifs vehicles showing what they can do with out the full send it attitude of most other youtubers.
17:33 i dont care what anybody says, IFS looks soo good when climbing over obsticals at full travel. I do like live axle too, but i personally prefer IS.
Morbid my favourite track, just when you think it could'nt possibly get any steeper, you come around that last bend and look up. Well done nice drive mate!
Just found your channel mate. watched your earlier vid where you just got the Navara, then skipped ahead to the most recent one. I had a 05 STX Navara, auto, and loved it.10 years and 250,000 ks later and it had never seen sand or off roading. Never cost me a cent other than the usual consumables. Just recently got a 2020 LTZ Colorado, (white) auto 4x4, and this time it's going to see shitloads of everything. The vid where you were talking about your plans for the mods was far from boring. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've only had mine a couple of weeks and I already have an Ironman Bull bar, winch, spotties and a lot of other stuff.I got a factory tow bar fitted before I picked it up,wired for electric brakes, trailer, tub power supply. When I went to pick it up from Ironman, after having the bull bar fitted, I noticed the demo 4x4 had a rear bar that is exactly what I want.(the same as yours), so I'll be selling my factory tow bar and getting one of I/M rear bars. It protects the rear quarters nicely. I've subbed, liked and all the usual stuff. Great channel mate. Cheers.
WôW bloody awesome track Tyler mate, I've enjoyed this episode very very much and that electric chain saw left me stunned, I couldn't believe my eyes!!! Awesome stuff mate 👍👌✌
Great video bro, some tough/ technical stuff, wish I had a locker, I’d b doing lots of winching, love your camping spots 👍👍👍 beautiful country 👍👍👍👍looking forward to next time 👍👍👍👍
Awesome video mate! Really enjoyed the technical work on those tracks. And loving the videography. Taking away some inspiration for my own vids of my trips. Well done. Can’t wait for part 2 👍🏻
N A..I was wondering about that too. You would be in a whole world of shit if you did a CV out there, and with all that skipping etc, I was waiting for that to happen....and I don't mean to jinx him either...lol
Nope, in 4-5 years of off-roading ive never broken a cv or steering arm. I carry a grinder to cut the shaft out if I break a CV then in places like these I could just 2wd it back down the track.
@@TylerThompson90 yeah, usually you don't break stuff if you use common sense and don't go too hard with one wheel spinning in the air and then have it smack down.
Another awesome 4WD trip Tyler. Was just curious about the section at 17:10 when Mitch was coming down. With all that braking to control the descent of the hilux, how did the brakes feel? Was there any or even slight indication of brake fade? Cheers mate.
@@franziphotography Thanks for the reply mate. Damn, maybe I better get my brakes checked on the Patrol. It tends to run away going downhill, I try and feather the brakes as little as I can but it tends to get a bit of brake fade happening. Not a safe situation to be in.
I have mine set at 2.5 inches mate, looks tall but only on the steep up hills, camera makes it look like a highway haha. I have a Domin8r x winch, not 100% on Tyler's but I think it's an Ironman.

No fade at all man, I could’ve used hill descent which may have helped but it’s not great going over rocky sections from past experience
