Hi there! awsome video, I've been watching a lot of videos about the hx lately, and this approach of split the hx stereo through dry and wet chain its interesting, I didn't see no one doing this so far. Congratz
impressive,..thank you so much for sharing this idea of writing up drives and modulations section s in separate loops. One question though,..I have 3 amps and wanna set it up in a wet/dry/wet scenario,..could you do a separate video on this please?
Excellent idea! I have a Joyo pxl live pedal switcher. It has 2 loops, you can have 4 pedals in each. 4 pedals to go in front of the amp, and other 4 in the effects loop. I have just adqiired an hx stomp and I want to use its synth effects with my drive pedals, and its modulations, delays and reverbs with my modulation pedals aswell. How should I connect the hx stomp with the joyo pxl live?
Great and very creative idea and performance of maximizing the most of it !!! well done !!! I'm curious as to how would you go a bout in regards to a dual amp + hx stomp only (!!) meaning no external pedals ? Lidor
If you don't have all those extra peddles but you would like to use your preamp and distortion from your amp + effects from the HX like delay and some of the modulations. But also switch back and forth between a clean amp simulation sound is that possible to do? I'm new with HX and just lost with this thing. Like use the preamp and also bypass it when i want and use a simulation clean tone
hello, I hope you are doing well. I am setting up my rig today from your video. Thank for doing this! Good job! Where would you put your tuner ? In front of everything? Guitar-Cable-Tuner-HX Stomp?
You can use the HX Stomp tuner. I use a rack tuner and split my signal first thing in the chain and run a dedicated cable to that. If you have old school fuzz pedals that don’t like buffers, put your tuner in line after those. If not, just put it first.
Thanks for the great info!”I’ve tried a couple of 4Cable methods, but was not satisfied with the results. I have to switch between efx loop amp and one with out a loop.
Saw this and was curious about not having the power amp if recording or playing into a pa. I understand using an ir or hx speaker but do you loose some of the tone from your amp and if so are you compensating with the ir or is there another way to pull that back. I usually just run the stomp as my amp with a stereo F2 loop but I have never been able to get it to sound like my amp setup and I have really tried. This seems like a great solution but was curious what your take is before I start rewriting things, and trying to find room on my board to get this to work. Thanks for the video. Great piece of info.
Yeah I don't think I could get it to sound exactly like my amp either, but could definitely get it to sound good! I think it's just a tradeoff you make carrying less gear around. I've played with musicians I have a lot of respect for that literally showed up to a large show with a Line6 POD like an animal, and it worked.
Do you have a diagram that shows how to run physical dirt pedals in front of the amp with the 4 cable method and have physical modulation pedals in the amps effects loop? I don’t have this splitter cable yet so I’m curious how i get that to work for now but I’m confusing myself where in the physical instrument cable chain to do this. Mostly with regards to my modulation pedals and finally my looper pedal.

@@moire.visionyea this makes sense now. The only other thing I’m trying to figure out is with this setup can you introduce an emulated booster pedal after your physical dirt pedals but right before the preamp? Similarly any emulated pedal right before preamp but after the dirt pedals? I think anything after any of the send or return loops would go in the effects loop and be after the preamp unless you put it before and then it’s going to go in front of the physical dirt pedals, I think?
@@silvel2edge yeah I could do that with my new setup with the Morningstar ML10X, but you’d need a third effects loop on the stomp to make something like that work.
thank you very much - totally solved my pedalboard setup and my confusion about adding a hx stomp to it.
I clicked on the thumbnail because it was well designed. Seeing that it's you, everything makes sense. Awesome channel Sir!
Dude you are a lifesaver. Thanks for putting this together. Most appreciated.
this really open my eyes ive been wondering how this is being done thank you for this video
Homework time! But I think I got it. Great video too, thanks for sharing 🤘
Super helpful. Great graphics. I subbed. Thanks bro!
Awesome, will try this asap!

Working on a stereo version of this with the stomp + Morningstar ML10X right now
Can’t wait for this, I’ve been racking my brain how for months.
@@Forkandles88 got the setup sorted out. Just need to find time to make a video.
Awesome dude, I’ll be watching. 🙌🏻
The guitar in the picture is actually plugged into the footswitch input. Left input would be one to the left. But I hope people get that
lol, you’re right. Whoops!
This is the best HX Stomp video. But I was wondering… this doesn’t make your delay and reverb go mono?

Thank you for your help would amp pedals like iriduim or tonex go in the drive route

It’s a lot of trial and error to find what works! Hope this helps.
that POG ❤
Great video bro. Do you also know how to connect hx stomp direct to the PA system in stereo?
If the PA you’re using has no instrument preamp (assuming it does) I’d recommend a stereo DI box

Hi, thanks for video! How do you set up d.a. midi baby 3 with hx stomp?
Here’s a good resource www.thegearconfessions.com/post/midibaby

What’s that expression pedal, thanks!
@lehleswitcher dual expression
Tried this but when i go yo FX loop in my HX Stomp is greyed out and cant choose it. What can it be?
Good information thanks. What happened to the screen on your HX system?
What do you mean?
@@moire.vision it looks like you took some sandpaper to the screen did you not watch the video.
