man dude is out here having a job with a 2nd child on the way and still keeping this channel going honestly pretty damn amazing.
He’s a beast
I can see your wife had fun adding touches with your costume
Dude, it looks awesome. Props to you both.
The Children YEARN for the mines.
They now yearn for the oil feilds
When I heard you say hydraulic pumpjack Pravus my ears immediately perked up. It was the invention of the hydraulic pumpjack that saw huge increases in production. Nowadays pumpjacks are a bit different, but the idea is still the same. Me and my family has been involved in the oil industry for a long time so I’m so excited to play this game when it comes out, partially to see the takes on early oil history
Fun fact: Hydrolic Pumpjack is my porn name.
2:06 He said the thing!! :D

Even in alternate world, the essence of America survived!
The Brits love oil just as much
@@someonesilence3731 especially when they desperately needed some.
I don't think the term city builder fits anymore. It's more of a society builder now
I think that's what they started calling it actually
Society builder seems oddly almost better
Early access for this game is amazing. I absolutely love it. The struggle, the will to survive the frozen wastes. The city must not fall!!
the children yearn for the mines
I really like how involved every decision making is. The only opposition we face in FP1 is the Londoners but now it seems like everyone is your enemy (or your friend if you're a good enough Steward 😉)
Love the outfit you got there
Same
I get the feeling that this is a game where, to a degree, there are no right answers. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was some sort of negative event if you had said "we'll take no risks" with the coal mine of people being upset at a missed opportunity or something.
As for the game itself, it does sound like the number of different factions and decisions might give it a surprising amount of replay value.
As was the case with the first game. Really hammered in that particular reality.
It does! And, turns out in the different modes there are more factions with more motivations! As far as I can tell, I've just completed my first playthrough
I think that it would be better in a long run to look outside of New London. Building smaller settlements where oil or other materials are, would enable to unload some of that overpopulation.
Yeah it might be the only solution to the overpopulation issue considering new London's Habitability is limited. How do u think the colonies will work with new London? As democracies of antiquity, a common wealth or extensions of an empire?
loving this playthrough, also like the fact that you know what you're doing, its quite satisfying to watch.
I can see frostpunk 3 becoming even more zoomed out and adding military aspects like protecting supply lines and defensive and aggressive actions.
Defeat the frost! Show the world humanity owns it!
This is a series we would like to see continued in the future!
Yay part 2! Thank you for getting these out so fast!
The zoom in on the text is really helpful for reading on smaller screens which is appreciated since I do watch on mobile sometimes.
Before doing frostpunk 2 wanted to do frostpunk 1 again. I focused too much on coal.. underestimating food while taking in the sick before the storm. I dont mind prisons or guard stations as i love order yet i did not want to do a triage. My resources where great except my food and it led me to have to save my skin through a triage. I did "not go to far" and made it. The whiteout was harsh but the city must survive. Cant wait for the future steward to learn from my mistakes and totally not repeat them. May the city endure!
“Nah I heard oil! THAT SHIT IS MINE”
is really interesting to see how the change from focusing developing the city, to developing the relationships with factions. Cant wait for the 20th!
Praise be to Overseer Pravus, and Praise unto the keepers of our hearth, the keepers of Order, and Praise be to Stalwart people of the Ice!
Don't put children in the mines (or oilfields), use the automatons. Much more efficient (and morally acceptable).
Love the Frostpunk outfit, can't wait to see your Space Marine playthrough :)
Adeptis Pravudis? Then again, that might be the second playthrough. He'd probably be more Inexperiece Noobus for the first one.
I love the costume so much. I hope to see it for many episodes to come.
THE CITY MUST NOT FALL!
"oil for the people and the city"
Pilgrims? Nikke Crossover?
Snow White, Scarlet, Rapunzel approves.
Yeah, well that's just Frostpunk isn't it? Everyone is equal and valuable until things start going wrong. Then... Some of them are more equal than others.
Ah, but I think they could at least build a windmill if they wanted.
Very excited to see beyond the prologue! I am hooked to this gameplay series already
The Frost has had its claim to earth for too long! Empower that generator and show that icy fiend that humankind will never surrender!
The City Must Not Fall
The first option offers a tall playstyle while the second a wide one.
I am not going to spoil anything (not like I actually played much further) and instead suggest the second option since it looks more grounded in it s approach and common theme within the game is that too much ambition leads to failure.
Even though there are most likely no good options, both having some sort of major flaw.
Love you Pravus
The foolish focus on just our city alone was what almost lead to the end of New London not so long ago. The Frost is our constant companion, we either adapt to it, or die like all the plants and beasts under the ice.
Hey Pravus! I picked it up and is better than I thought. Got a few hours in and did find some weaknesses. Most notably adjacency bonuses and "noodling" Noodling being snaking about to get them sweet heat bonuses.
I also find that it doesnt express the cold as well as past. Both simple changes. Not a bad game and definitely has the bones to be better than first game. Just needs some refinement. The adjacency gimmick being the elephant in the room.
Literally was about to sleep. Damn. Welp
the Frost will be defeated and the world will be reclaim
Did anyone else see Herbert Hoover, American president, at 10:30??
Yes! Hoped you'd be releasing these daily (ofc, too soon to really tell), but figured you might with hoe much you enjoy the game :D
Oil! The fires of industry will burn bright! The city will grow!
Honestly I feel this is a step down from the first game in terms of immersion. By widening the focus so much they've really lost the feeling of intimacy, desperation and every individual person suffering and fighting for their life that made the first game so special.
You havent played it, its way more complicated with a lot of mechanics and its hard as fuck to do stuff when resources are just a few, also having the days pass by its better than hours passing by since the first frostpunk was slow and this is a bit more fast paced but with a lot more sense to it
@@pizzanut180 I haven't played it, but complexity and difficulty isn't the problem, it actually looks like a pretty decent civ-like strategy game, but that's the point, it just _doesn't_ feel much like Frostpunk, except in name.
@@kerravon4159 It starts off slow but once you get through a good amount of the story, it feels a lot more impactful than it did before. I went from having a chill time to having to micromanage every tiny thing while my city imploded from the inside out. Plus the personal stories littered throughout the game is really interesting and immersive, I'd say. But definitely not as much as the first, which I believe is by design.
@@gm_turtle2355 From what you've said and from what I've watched, It really doesn't appeal to me as a Frostpunk game, but I might actually purchase it as a good, well-made empire building strategy game in its own right. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts, it definitely helped.
@@gm_turtle2355 From what you've said, its sounds like its worth picking up as a decent empire building strategy game in its own right, even if I dont think much of it as an actual Frostpunk sequel. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
11:22 what do you mean you can't trust us, you can toatally trust us, for voting the most inefficient law.

Pravus is surprisingly handsome! got a bit of Brendan frasier to him.
I like how the game reference some parts of the previous games
The man, the legend, is back!
Snow and frost everywhere, the map is truly hexxed....
Coal < Oil.
The children yearn for the mines.
Enjoying this series
Let the oil flow
Yaaay! Excited for part 3!
The prefabs are probably better than the 5 workers in ages also if you get to the mine fast enough you skip the event. Also dangerous is a cost trust those no real problem to my knowledge.
Having played through a bit, i'm actually wondering if you even want to take in frostlanders when you're going Stalwart. It's quite difficult to change people's beliefs, so relying on natural birth to produce more Londoners and so Stalwarts seems a better route.
Defeat the frost! Cancel out the global winter with Global Warming! :D
Ngl you look so cool in that costume
Burn the trust for more meetings more pops
I’m quitting watching this series for now. For the best reason: I’m buying and playing this game and I wanna avoid excess spoilers! Sponsorship success, boys and girls!

Breaking News: The faction of TWITCH singlehandedly beats both Stalwarts and New Londoners!
Love your content
You can trust us to vote your way, but you just have to make us this one little promise…
We demand icebloods
Praise Pravus
Im seeing that the order and religious are just flavor and doesnt really change i think this games "choice" for some just end up being flavor till the actual choice
Stalwarts bring the Pilgrims, and Faithbringers bring basically skeptics. They have different values and aligning goals, and get pissed off easier depending on the other, but I think the end-game choice remain relatively the same, as did FP1 tho to be fair.
So everyone watching takes note to save before sending back oil
Cant wait for friday 🎉🎉
Love this!
It’s back!
Pravus! I know it's been 11 hours, but could you give me comment or talk about some advice for F2P? I want to be prepared!

Awesome vid & outfit
What is that silver thing above the right goggle lens? It actually detracts from the costume making OCD people fixate on it.
yes
Hey Pravus, do you know if the 7700 is the only frostpunk themed GPU?
I would love a special edition 7900 gre
I let all the people in my city and it become hell chaos....😢😢 Not enough heat, not enough food I don't know how to increase the production rate of oil..
Interesting to see the name Herbert Hoover at 10:30. Makes you think that he became a prospector in this timeline instead of the 31st President of the United States.
That dude got shat on so fucking hard because of the Great Depression, and now here he is lamenting that the Steward saved his life in favor of cutting the air supply to save the coal. Goddamn, that man is a fucking boss here.
Wait a minute.... I have a pair of those knock off steampunk goggles.
Yessss
Heave lads, ho lads
Two more days
Unless the machines break after harvesting the frozen whales then from a purely logical standpoint you absolutely should be able to harvest the food and then bring them back to boost production but sadly I am going to assume this game does not work on that logic
Maybe the machines are too well set up and you can either remove them right away or set them up and make it a pain to dismantle?
@@stylesrj Maybe
can you use people as fuel? or food? hm.
We will have order ✊✊✊✊✊
Definitely need to settle the frostlands
