37-inch Tires on Our NEW 2024 Tacoma with King Shocks!

- In this video, we install a lift kit on our new 2024 Toyota Tacoma using King 2.5 shocks for the front and back. We then install RRW Monoforged in 17x8 +12 offset wheels on a Toyo 37x12.5 MT tire. We wanted to ensure we could fully cycle the suspension offroad, so we trimmed anything necessary for the tires to clear appropriately.
You can find the parts below if you want to do something like this. If you are looking for someone to work on your rig, we have a shop in Denver, Colorado, and we will take care of you.

Best looking new taco so far
I second this, good lawd.
Nah
@@zachpeat5076 yea
It’s all looks though, I wanted to lift my Colorado Trail Boss with big tires but it would ruin everything, my quickness , tranny and motor, the my warranty,,,plus I don’t want to cut on my truck, but YES it does look great!
Already hearing a lot of these 24s are having continuous high turbo spooling problems on 35s. Can't wait to see how this 4 banger with a turbo holds up on 37s. Especially in any kind of heat. Watch those transmission temps. It is going to be a crazy first summer season for these rigs out there.
Damn it looks insane
Looks nice and thick on the 37s! 👌🏻
Can’t wait to see you guys man !! That taco looks so badass
Awesome. I wish Toyo would make a 37-11.50-17 mud terrain tire
And 37x12.5r18
It looks sick!!
Great looking city slicker rig thanks for the video
These guys actually take their trucks off-road .
That Bronze Oxide looks so good
“ They look better ..feel better.. IM looking at my bicep while I curl the rim..ARE YOU LOOKING AT MY BIS? 😅.. lol..busting balls.. great vid guys!
Wow! That's a rad build so far,,, great job 🔥
Truck looks good with the rims
If you go there Tom's Farm is a good place to meet up after for food and outdoor dining. Music, plenty of parking and about a mile away. Right off the 15 freeway.
19lb is wild. Weight is why I kept my f5 by scs
That would be a good video to do. The truck with the black wheels vs the mono wheels mpg test to see how much mpg diff it really makes say on a 25-50 mile test.
Use the factory rear tundra coil on the Tacoma. 2 3/4” lift using non hybrid tundra rear coils. I’ve lifted two 4th gen tacos. One the white Tacoma with the extra weight it would be perfect.
Truck looks awesome, yall gotta do some vids showing gear changes etc. surprised yall cut up one for a tire that probably won’t stay on the truck? 🤘🇨🇦
I just bought this same Tacoma.
I was hoping someone would make a video to see how it would look like with bigger tires.
It looks good with the tires.
I kinda like the trd wheels better though.
I don’t think I’d put anything that would require me to trim.
Are you going to run extended bump stops to stop the 37s from rubbing at full compression? The ride comfort from aired down 37s is gonna be crazy!
Wow I finally know about a local show before it happens, I can't wait to go 4/27/24 in Corona Ca.
Virgin GX 470 here. So keeping the weight theme and I am in the SW so no snow, what would be a good tire for it?
I’ve allready blew one of these new Tacomas away with my Colorado Trail Boss in a red light race,,,It would be even easier beating any of these trucks!
The Toyo will still be on the road when your Chevy has been scrap metal for 20 years.
Congrats on the race brah!!!!
And you’ll be the first one at the scrap yard too.
@@martypeterson6747 the new taco is designed to fail.
Should measure from the floor to the fender to be accurate. Nice Taco!
You have to consider that the body flexes on the chassis mounts under load in off camber situations offroad. So even thou static clearances (even when flexed on hoist( clears, in real world scenarios you may find you need to trim a little bit more.
Also consider a regear. What's the standard diff ratio on the new Tacomas?
👀👀 imma need 5 asap
Better beef up the drivetrain on those tacos. TFL broke theirs with pizza cutters in a low stress setting.
I’m not sure if I’d get the cruiser… I like the most off-road version but the trail hunter 4 runner is just awesome. I think it’ll be better offroad
I love the look but all I’ve ever heard is as soon as you modify it issues start arising. I was always on other side of the spectrum with trucks that scraped the ground but had air shocks or bags. C section frames etc. I look back & think that was sketchy. 😂
Any chance those rims will be available for purchase? Sick
you guys are awesome great work i want to take my taco to you once i buy it. love the color. whats the name of the color? thanks
ONLY FUN TIMES AHEAD !
Now i wonder if it will be this easy on the 4runner
I want those stock rims and tires for my 2001 4Runner!
So much added weight on the larger wheels and tires.
Can get some of information on where your going to be at the up coming event
This is one of the better lookin build and nice simple set up, long term suffer to bearings, drivetrain, and CVs though! On a side note, newer gen tacoma guys would do anything but SAS their tacoma lol. Cant blame ya'll tho it's too fresh for all the cutting and welding. 1st gen tacoma and pickups are still superior outside the desert racing scene and mall crawling city limits tho 😉
Put bfg 37’s they run on small side for more clearance
The eight difference with those wherls really is a wow. I was expecting maybe 5lbs difference.
And the Taco looks great. I thought 37s would look goofy, but the proportions worked out nice.
Man I want 37s on my Colorado
35's will be simple!
One of the narrators is the mandalorian actor voice
These silly Boosted 4 cylinders are going to blow. Bring back the 4.0
maybe in 2025 AB.....(after biden)
Coool suspension, but week motor and now looks like a Colorado
Well thanks
Agreed Colorado!!
Will you need to re gear?
We need a banana for scale with those four fingers 😂🤣
Does a Tacoma have enough power to push those 37?
Am I missing something here .. went to 37's with no gear change!! To get the Tacoma from being a gutless wonder your going to need 4.86's or even 5.11's. So far this build to me is what we refer to as 'Mall Crawlers' here in AZ .. work good on the open paved roads .. where you will suffer from bad gas mileage and gutless performance. Here's an example. Just did the White Rim Trail in Moab with a stock 2022 Tacoma 4 dr with a 4 Wheel Camper onboard. I am on 265/75 16" BFG KO2's .. so far I haven't seen the need to do anything more and I can tackle all but the toughest trails in Moab .. not a rock crawler to be sure but then that's not my thing anyway. My rig weighs in at 6000 lbs with the camper and I get 16/18 mpg.
it is true that over sized tires on an already weak drive train is not a good idea....without a gear change, you are just throwing mpg away and asking for mechanical failures. most of these big tired trucks end up being non-functional mall crawlers.
*insert “ooo that’s nasty” meme*
Comparing beadlocks to non beadlocks. Yeah there’s going to be a weight difference.
Maybe 40s will be killer
Good you went for a lighter rim, the tire is heavy itself already, and rim is not black, use the other rim for flower pot.
how can i get this wheel on that color ? rrw brush
Which RR wheel is that on min. 2.51
rest in peace tacoma
how did gearing feel with the new engine/trans combo?
4th gen 🧼
I have those kmcs, grenades.
But why you comparing weight of a beadlock wheel with a non beadlock? Of course the beadlock will weigh a lot more.
And as for price, I think the kmc costs more than the rrw. At least the ones for my jeep are $600/ piece after tax.
But you guys didn't turn the wheel so we can see what's rubbing
Im gonna guess the steering rack is gonna kill itself
no gearing?
Just pretty shocks and that's a lift kit????
Hate to break it to ya but the weight savings that close to the hub ain’t doing much outside of unsprung weight. The bulk of the polar moment of inertia is coming from that tire which puts most of the weight far from the center axis of rotation.
Every little bit counts but…meh.
Kiss your range goodbye! Lol you’ll be able to make it to the mall parking lot and find a space and then gas up right after
How much boost to turn those tires 😂
Oh you know, gotta regear it so it's always pushing boost at 60mph
All of it
Turbos are already over heating on other rigs. These 4th gen’s are garbage
Looks like the hot wheels editon..
I like the wheels but those tires are a bit too meaty for my taste. How about 35s, no body mods?
35s is definitely more practical but we wanted to really push it a little further since others have done 35s with no trimming. No body or frame mods
Yeah sometimes just because something seems like a good idea it probably isn’t and that is one of these times. No way the stock taco turbo engine will handle those tires and believe me that transfer case and that engine the transmission no way. It is a disaster waiting to happen.
one 37" tire is bigger than the cab. RiP
new gear ratio's......6.50 ?
I have 37’s on my Tacoma your so
Cool
12 mpg?
More like 8
Looks like its taking a leak in your garage.
N stuff
Goodbye turbos
probably 12 miles to the gallon, and too much strain on an already light duty drivetrain, that turbo will turn to crap in no time.
2 grand for wheels, 1600 for tires, 5 grand for lift, only to have the truck explode the second its offroad lol. Looks great for a mall crawler, but this truck isn't going to fair well off the pavement. Even on the pavement, I bet it will be underwhelming and starved for power and searching for gears like crazy.
Ohhhh boy. Tacos still trying to fit 37s for no reason. lol
Dont think the warranty will cover the repairs that poor motor will endure to move that big of a tire from a stock what 32 😂
I’m sure y’all are excited about the 24 Turbo.
But I’m not. I purposefully bought a 23 TRD Off Road, double cab,6’ bed with premium and technology pkgs.
That Turbo, Historically simply doesn’t last as long as a Naturally Aspirated engine
yeah, even more so if people switch to tires as big as these. Both the transmission and the entine are gonna suffer. It makes a case for having a hybrid that gives you 50 more horsepower and 150 more ft lb of torque in the 2025 4 runner.
@@jovaniortiz8317 I do agree. And yes i wish that my 23 had the hybrid option, as I would have bought it.
But after I’m finished building my 23, it’ll have the power and off road prowess that it needs
Few other guys are already having high temp issues running 35s when wheeling and the turbos are spinning up more on the highway running big tires and hauling extra weight 🔥🔥🔥
🫣🍿
Needs 5.29’s and the brakes will need to be upgraded as well.
37's on a 4 banger that was engineered for 32.6" tires. Good luck not cooking that transmission and small displacement turbo engine. Are you guys actually installing these for ignorant customers?
Most likely are.
More than likely they will regear it lol
Yeah not great for the tranny if not re-geared but the engine will be just fine. People have been beating on the 22re for decades with larger tires than that. Old school yota guys don't mind a good ol 4 banger.
You seem like an awesome guy
@@manwithnoname734check out tacoma beast video on 35s, turbos at full spool on highway, not a recipe for success😮
The idea that this is a "proddesional" shop that works on tacomas AND THIS is how they fit a larger tire!?!?!
Please stahp.
Pull the coils, dissasemble leaf packs. Cycle with out bump stops. Check each corner individually and cut to fit. Then fix the cuts.
If yoir going to seel this at least do it right.
Alteration Tacoma you ruined money talks
Could look better if they where black lol
Bro you guys have some good products and stuff but videos are so boring makes me want to go to bed with your videos on the background 😴
Toyota Should Be Sued For Trying to Copy Gmc , And Chevy Designs .
That looks terrible
Four and six cylinders aren’t designed to run that much constant boost needed for larger tires, full size truck, etc. Manufacturers aren’t designing for longevity, just higher prices and cheap plastic CRAP!
