Thanks! Machined wheels have been a thing but not for the Yota scene. It’s coming though! A lot of manufactures are offering machined as a standard finish now.
The white color on this gen 4th looks amazing, I like the roof rack, the king lift, and the big tire... All of these is good to have on the mod.... Next maybe a rock slide.... looks beast love it...
Sincerely, brother, I congratulate you on your new Tacoma. I have the 3gen and I can't give myself the pleasure of changing it for the new generation because it costs much more money than mine is costing me. I just have to see others with their new ones. tacos wishing to have one of those congratulations brother I love your tacoma and much more with everything you've done to it, this beautiful taco
Great video. Subscribed. The 4 link suspension has me thinking that a proper lift is going to be a good bit more expensive, but yield way more sporty handling than a typical leaf spring truck. Suggestions with video would be to 1. turn down the background noise and 2. Go over the setups and any key factors to note when installing if not straight forward.
The way I sit, my leg is far from the dial so I can’t comment on that. No way of calibrating the speedo as of yet. But I’m sure someone will make something for it eventually.
Thanks Mario! Not yet. The shocks are getting some final testing and will be put into production. Will be another few months. We have an obnoxious amount on order so we’ll let everyone know when they come out the oven. 👍
Ordered my hybrid offroad. The kings look awsome. I hear if you just remove the crash bar plate 35s should fit without cutting with the offset between +12 to +25. I would like to get the lightest rim tire combo to keep the weight down for better gas mileage. Truck looks great bro love your channel.
Thank you! I believe the majority of them will run 34s and 35s. The power these have to put 34s and 35s to the ground are solid and there is plenty of room to fit them easily now.
@@88ROTORS Now that’s good to know. I live in Central, CA and have been waiting several years for the new Tacoma’s to come out. You will be seeing me this year some time. Great job on your channel too!
I would say you’re making that 3rd gen work twice as hard to TRY to keep up in terms of acceleration. Honestly, I had a supercharged 3rd gen tuned and I still pick the ride of my new one over it. It’s just a more solidly built truck.
Stupid question…during disassembly I saw a black shroud on the outside of your rear shocks down at the bottom that had a king emblem on them. Is that secondary bump stop for the shock itself?
Just need to unclamp a hose to make room for the main UCA to frame bolt to slide out. Nothing too difficult. If you can handle it on the previous generations, you can do it on these. 👍
So call me crazy, but i did a test. We bought our off road model witj 9 miles on it. At 300 miles i floored it in sport mode, its shift points were 5500. It would not redline. After 1000 i did the same thing and npw it red lines. Im not saying its got 2 tunes, but it would not red line prior to 1k miles
Thanks! I was in the same predicament. But I believe I made the right decision. I have a Pro on order also. Well, more like dropped a deposit to be first in line.
Yea, simple snow trail on a stock truck too. Sounded like the gears broke to me from the video. But I’m waiting to see an updated video from them to see what happened too. I’m not too worried, I’ll find out next week how it is offroad on 35s with it. 😁 it’s all a part of the game, just going to have fun… even if things break!
No rubbing whatsoever at full lock and articulating onroad and driveways. But from inspection, it looks like it’ll clear offroad also. I’ll post an update after I get some dirt time next week.
Will you have a video off-roading that’s what I think most of us want to see. that’s on hell of a beast I would turn that into an Overland truck like the trail hunter it better not be a mall crawler that would be a disappointment and waste of money .
@@88ROTORS nice 🤙🏾I’ve been watching your videos for over three years you guys helped me tremendously on my Overland build on my 2021 4Runner TRD off road premium which I build myself a lot hard work but, saved a shit load of money on labor cost owned a jeep before and I totally think there the best rock crawlers but, highway driving 4Runners are amazing so comfortable also they are the best suv vehicles ever built in the world by far the quality and pride also, built in Japan 🤙🏾
If Toyota mated the 2nd gen 4.0L with the 4th gen body and 8speed trans, call ☎️ in the dogs and put out the fire 🔥, Toyota could not build these trucks fast enough. They are the best lookin mid-size truck, hands down!
It's sad that an almost $60K vehicle doesn't come with good suspension yet the Ford Ranger Raptor costs almost the same and has all the bells and whistles...
Agreed. But whatever suspension it comes with, the majority will end up upgrading to go higher or improve it one way or another anyway. But I get you, it’s a good chunk of change for just “decent” suspension. We want the best!!!
After watching the tfloffroad video on this 4 cylinder tacoma and how soft they are offroading and easilybreaks.. I'm not buying this truck no more.. I'll stick to the 3rd gen tacoma or tundra..
We don’t even know what really happened with that yet. It’s all a part of the game. I have no worries and know that whatever happens, either Toyota or myself will fix it and make it better if something were to fail. There’s always a way to improve things. You can’t make that call off of one video without knowing the details. But thanks for your input!
Is this based off of what you see online or did you actually look into the specs of the differential and what it can handle? Because I’m familiar with the viral videos of the BCM Tacoma, but if you look at the specs of everything, this truck can handle more than some assumptions can be made.
Looks great, but why not just be patient seems like a lot of unnecessary work to keep putting on parts and taking them back off just wait for the parts that you really want.
Huh? Not pulling anything off later. Everything put on here is by choice. When I said we are doing what we can with what we have, I mean with what’s available that I want.
This is their business. First to market and test these parts will pay great dividends for them. You can see they already have a big customer base with 3rd gens and Tundras and in a place where people clearly have money to spend.
The 9.5” diff will explode? We have Land Cruiser sized diffs on these now and we smash on 37s offroad on those. And I’ve driven it more than 200 miles since I made this video. 😄
I'm on my fourth Toyota truck and this will be my last. I want a truck I can 4-Wheel with and turbos are NOT right for off-roading. Toyota screwed its customers. BRING BACK THE V8 in the TUNDRA & V6 in the TACOMA. TURBOS SUCK, TOYOTA!!
I would have to disagree. You need to drive one to understand the reason why it is what it is today. I’ve owned V6 and V8 Toyotas and this is not short of anything, but better, believe it or not.

See TFLs off road with there Tacoma?
Yes, we spoke about it here earlier in the comments.
Such an awesome truck!
Looks awesome! Great video! I’d probably color match to all white with black wheels, but that’s my taste. 😉
That’ll make it look like a TRD sport. But that’s a clean look! To each his own! Thanks for your input!
Great video!! I'd suggest you do a one-off video going through King's place. That would be cool and help people to see what they're paying for.
Hope those axles are strong enough for those heavy wheels
Yes, these are beefed up compared to the previous generations. I had 35s on my third gen also with the same weight so there’s no fear on them here.
Great work as always

Kmc Impact forged beadlocks. Check out our previous episodes and the ones after for all mod details.
how much front lift are you running?
35s 🔥
Looks dope. Im not a fan of the smaller engine with turbo trend but it would be so nice to have more torque, the 3.5 was lacking low end big time.

What mpgs is it getting now with the big tires
Shows 18 mpg but I’ve been driving with a slight heavy foot when testing everything.
Stupid question…during disassembly I saw a black shroud on the outside of your rear shocks down at the bottom that had a king emblem on them. Is that secondary bump stop for the shock itself?
Are you referring to the shock guard? That’s just to protect from things flying up and hitting the shock shaft.
@@88ROTORS yes that’s what it was. Had never seen one of those before
does this thing die at stop signs to save gas like the new tundra?
Negative. That’s a feature I always turn off in all my other cars that have it so I’m glad this doesn’t.
