  • Creek Valley Health Clinic is the town's first health facility in a decade. Once a community controlled by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, where modern medicine was denied, the clinic is now addressing urgent healthcare needs with the help of a $385,000 federal Rural Emergency Healthcare grant from the American Rescue Plan Act, and technical assistance from Local First Arizona.
Serving 3,500 patients annually, the clinic offers primary care, therapy, and nutritional programs, and has seen significant improvements in community health, including reduced rates of diabetes and hypertension. Despite challenges during the pandemic, federal funding has allowed the clinic to sustain operations and foster trust in modern healthcare, helping the town recover from years of neglect.
