Then you have an older demographic of fans who like his older songs but this CD could have easily fit somewhere in the middle like 25 years and up and then if you grew up on El Debarge, then, you know but also, they wanted him to keep pushing "Second Chance" which ultimately spent 3 months on the Pop and R&B charts. #57 on the Pop charts and #13 on the R&B. To me, that's pretty good for someone like El and a 3 time Grammy nominee..... But I like this song too.
By calling it prison instead of jail, I'm glad that he is being honest with himself, and the seriousness to him. He is greatly talented. I always thought he would be as big as MJ, or Stevie, or Marvin... It's still not too late with his abilities, and with the right songs, marketing, etc... and staying off the destructive forces in his life... I know that it is a powerful draw for him... I hope Eldra stays strong for Eldra... we, the public, the fans, are secondary! I wish him well!
