Вставка
- Опубліковано 28 вер 2024
- This is the story of SWITCH, an American R&B/funk band that recorded for Berry Gordy's Motown label in the late 1970s. Some of their hits include “There'll Never Be", "I Call Your Name", and "Love Over & Over Again". Switch influenced a bunch of groups that would come later on and featured founder Gregory Williams as well as the Debarge Siblings Bobby and Tommy, Phillip Ingram (brother of James Ingram), Eddie Fluellen, and Jody Sims.

Hard 2 believe that Bobby is no longer with us. He did pass the torch 2 his brothers El Tommy Chico etc & Sister Bunny. R.I.P
Agree! Him and the Debarge siblings were all a talented group 💯
🙏🌹
GOD BLESS YOU BOBBY DEBARGE.... ONE OF MY FAVORITE SINGERS OF ALL TIME!!!! #RIP 🙏🏾💖🙏🏾💖
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
They were so talented, sweet voices and I believe that like the Jackson they had absolute monsters for fathers and almost useless mothers who co-signed for the abuse by staying with such demonic men Women need to do better, I know it's not always easy but when it comes to the abuse towards your babies, dig down for that backbone and get the hell out by any means necessary! There are women who have done it, they didn't wait until the kids were so abused that life just sucked them under , a father is only essential if he is a good father, a good man, those fathers are needed for all children, but an abusive father should be seen like the rabid dog he is and treated that way! 😢 Find more love for your children than for that man, find the courage for your babies that you think you didn't have for yourself.🙏🏽
Definitely facts!
Context: Women, by law in the USA, were not allowed to have a bank account without their husband’s permission, until 1973. Consider the times before rushing to call someone’s mother “useless”. Their mother obviously encouraged her children’s gifts and raised 10 children who went on to share these talents with the world.
@@TeaphilosophyNetExcellent comment 🎉
How could the story not mention El DeBarge at all?
Well it was mainly about Switch although we briefly touched upon the siblings in the beginning 😊
Is this movie about the music group in a whole
Yes the whole Switch Group
They're hair is perfect❤❤❤❤❤❤ Ingrahmn 👀😁
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
a then 17-year-old, EL DEBARGE. singing backup on, I CALL YOUR NAME.
🙌🏾🙌🏾
What do u mean
Yes, it was EL DEBARGE , singing backup on, I CALL YOUR NAME and he hit it PERFECTLY.
Not EL all Bobby, that is what Bunny his sister said.
@@Willie-y7t El is on video, saying it is HIM singing the back-up/ALL the background. that it was Bobby who brought him in to do it.
We can figure out what happened to poor Bobby while he was in prison and led to him getting AIDS. RIP Bobby Debarge.
Sad 😢
i read that he contracted the virus prior to his sentence but of course doesn’t make it true.
@JoyHarrison......Read Mama DeBarges book. More than likely Bobby had AIDS before he went to prison. He had a bi-sexual lifestyle and he was a drug abuser. If anything prison prolonged his life.
The Debarge family has so much in common with the Jackson Family. We love them both.
Yes they really do! So much talent in both families!
Your right !
How so? They're nothing alike. The Debarges were dysfunctional with an abusive father who molested them. All of the kids were drug addicts @ some point. The Jackson's were Jehovah's Witnesses who didn't even curse. They had a hardworking father who was hands on. Their parents instilled morals & values in them. No one claimed abuse but Michael, who was over sensitive. And Latoya, who was fame seeking.
Just seen them at the Capital Jazz Fest......the new guy was actually pretty good and sung Bobby's parts really well.
Yes surprised how similar he sounded 🔥🔥🔥
Do you see the documentary on them? There father was Horrible
Yes horrible 🙏🏽🙏🏽
God bless you Bobby DeBarge. Rest in Heaven. Was gone too soon but will never be forgotten . We love you Bobby. God's love to you always BoDe
