Thank you! 😊 And my pleasure! There was much more to the show than just this (horse, cattle, sheep and dog events etc) but this was a nice little taste, I thought.
I loved seeing excerpts from the Walcha Show and congratulations on all your ribbons! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 You certainly love a challenge Yvette, I must admit my mind boggled somewhat with the embroidered mask project and how you might make that work, but I look forward to seeing how you approach the design. 😱 I can’t figure out how counted embroidery would work on such an awkward shape on the bias, but the only idea which occurred to me (please feel free to ignore!) 😉😄 was to use surface embroidery, perhaps Casalguidi raised embroidery (which would fit with the Italian theme and back story rather nicely as well as being a whitework technique) and would also allow you to work the raised elements separately and then apply them to the fabric covered mask. Needlewoven picots, raised stem stitching bands and all those raised curlicues could make some quite impressive fascinator style decorative features methinks! 😀
Only a cup of tea was missing, it felt just like you were visiting and telling me about the Walcha show. Congrats on winning so many ribbons. You really ought to leave some for other contestants, too 😉
:-) I do leave some for others. Sorry about the lack of cup of tea. It would be hard to send one through the internet to you. And if I posted it, it would be stone cold and probably growing stuff by the time it got to you!
Your daughter’s party sounds like fun. It’ll be interesting to see everyone’s choices of masks. I love your idea of embroidery for your mask. I’m not very creative at all. Since the mask is white, what if you put white netting over the mask and then stitched motifs that you could attach to the netting? And gifting your daughter your mask is a memory she’ll always treasure. Congrats on your ribbons! Well deserved! Thanks for another enjoyable video -
Look at you, congratulations on all the ribbons, thank you for walking us around your country show ⭐

Thank you Marion. This mask will need to come to fruition before that can happen!

Thanks Linda!
Congratulations - you rose runner is GORGEOUS. Wouldn't the white work get lost and just look like a white mask?
Thanks Ally. My plan for the mask is to paint the mask black and then the whitework over it should show very nicely.
@@yvettestanton Ah, that sounds great and very Venetian.
Why are the edibles behind mesh and glass? Can people not be trusted not to taste them?
I have no idea! It's probably "always been done that way..."
