Beautiful makes Cath, thank you for sharing. You have inspired me to order the mini Nova jumpsuit pattern, we have six grandaughters so plenty to make for. So lovely to see you back, take care of yourself.
I just love that Jarrah. The fabric is gorgeous. I so often find that light coloured fabrics are a food and drink magnet 😆 I can only think it’s because we’re trying to be careful and we become kind of clumsy instead !! Probably just me. Your daughter looks really cute in her jumpsuit and it’s nice that your matchy, matchy outfits have a colour difference. Very stylish. I’m really looking forward to seeing how your coat turns out. Knowing the care and skill that you will invest in it, it should be a smasher. Thank you for another interesting video Cath. Have a lovely week 😊 xx
Thanks so much Shelly 😊 I’m the same with light coloured fabrics 😄 I was glad to be able to get the pink cable knit again to remake! Thanks I really enjoyed twinning with my daughter in the jumpsuits 😊 I will report back on how I get on finishing my coat. I’m enjoying the process so far. Hope you have a lovely week too xx
Love your jacket, Cath, inspired idea with the bias binding. I love any excuse to finish seams with it, so pretty! Love the matchy matchy with your daughter! Do it while she lets you. She’s growing up fast.
I started a Nova after you sewed ties last summer to staked when I found out that I had seen two right sides! To make matters worse I only discovered this when most of the sewing had been done and I was about to sew both sides together. I ordered more fabric and the Left side has been cut it and it’s sitting beside my sewing machine. Your daughter’s is lovely too
I love the cozy cable pullover and the ivory cowl neck. Those are both pretty and versatile winter pieces. Your daughter's jumpsuit is cute and comfy. You two look great in your Mommy and Me look. I love how the jacket is coming along. Having gone to the trouble of bias binding the seams, you are definitely not going to want to unpick or trim and resew the seams. That pattern has plenty of seams to make size adjustments for a terrific fit. Maybe try it on and adjust it just along the side seams before you bind them. I look forward to seeing it completed.
Love that Jarrah fabric, and great idea leaving off the hem and wrist bands. I used a really unsuitable fabric for mine, ditched the long split sleeves I'd done and added cuffs, but it just hangs off me. The cowl idea is great - must try that with some of my scraps. Some lovely fabrics - I never think of Minerva for fabrics, but they do have some nice ones. Moonbow is another new one for me - will have to check them out - seems they have some non-child fabrics as well. As if I need more fabric!
I’m finally about to sew up the Sewing Society Ilford jacket. I want to then make the Sylvan Jacket by Sew Liberated. I want to make it in a rusty cord but the fabric that arrived has a bizarre texture, and is not the colour I envisaged. I wonder if I ordered a bubble cord by mistake? I don’t like it. After washing if feels very hard.
Which overlocker do you have? This time last year I was very down as I thought the cancer was coming back. I decided to that if it was , I was going to buy the Bernina L890 overlocker/ cover stitch machine. All was ok but I decided that I would soothe my nerves with a new toy. I think, like Berninas in general, that it could cope with thicker fabrics. I think that if there was going to be an issue it would be feeding the fabric in The Tom jacket is looking good so far. Funny you have to lengthen most sleeve patterns;I have to shorten them!
Thank you very much, I’m enjoying the process of the Tom jacket so far, it’s nice to try something new. I’m glad all is ok. I have a Brother 3034. I have heard lots of good things about Berninas, one that is a cover stitch too sounds amazing. I like my Brother and it behaves nicely mostly but I would like it if it could tackle very thick fabrics better.
You are very accomplished in your sewing. Absolutely love your makes and your daughter is adorable!
Ahh thank you very much! 😊

Always enjoy your videos. Nice makes as usual.

Thank you very much. She loves soft pink colours 😊

Thank you so much! 😊❤️❤️❤️
I have some of the higgs and higgs fabric, it's beautiful, cannot decide on which pattern to use.
It is lovely fabric isn’t it! Good luck deciding 😊
Thanks for sharing Cath. 🧶💙🌈🍓
You’re very welcome Jenny 😊❤️💜🩷
Lovely makes.
Thank you very much 😊
The dress looks lovely. I am sewing a jacket too a simplicity pattern. I like your fabric though it looks as though it would be warm.
Thank you, yes I think it will turn out to be quite a cosy jacket! Hope yours is going well too 😊
I think that l would try and dye the older jarrah in a darker colour, and wear it as a round the house garment. 😊😊
Great video. Im just up to thr Tom jacket which I’ve not heard of before. Looks very good and great binding detail
Thank you very much 😊I’m enjoying trying the Tom jacket, it’s been fun to sew so far!

Oh no that’s a shame, always disappointing when a fabric arrives and it’s not as expected 😞
