Great video. I have similar issues with trouser fitting but these ones turned out so well for you I may try sewing up a pair for myself. I haven't attempted trousers before so wish me luck.

I really enjoyed seeing all that you sewed up this week.The pants turned out amazing, such a great fit! The customization is what I love about sewing! When sewing with knits what do you use to stabilize the hems? They are so neat!

Hi Cath, what a lot of lovely things you’ve made😊. I love the Stella Hoodie. I have made a couple of the extended length hoodies and find them very useful with jeans and trousers being that much longer. I love the Stretch book too and have had a great deal of use from it. I love the Eleanor’s trousers on you, they’re absolutely gorgeous. I’ve never made any of their patterns, so I’ll definitely give them a look. Here on the south coast it’s also very cold and exceedingly windy. The spray and spume is remarkable and it was good to get back to a nice hot cup of tea after a very shortened dog walk !! I love the Stella and have made a few hoodies and a couple of dresses without the hood and with a normal neck band. It’s a very useful pattern.

I was thinking , that blouse with the big collar, you could crochet or knit a smaller collar for it.

I have used Jalie patterns and at least the ones I have I was able to get the instructions from the website to download separately, much easier!

Love your Bestie bag. I have a pair of Jalie Eleonore trousers cut out. I haven't started sewing them up yet and didn't know about Lauren's hints and tips video, so I will purchase that, thanks for the tip

Your Bestie bag looks very nice! Thinking about making a new bag and that pattern seems like a winner. I have make the Jalie jeans a couple times. they are very simple and quick to make. They are low waisted so if you prefer a higher waist you can adjust.

Hi Cath, I’ve just bought the Kira Knit Top by Stylearc and plan to make it in a stretch velvet and wear it over a cami top. Maybe pick a colour in your cami that you like and make something similar in that colour. Good luck!

Hi Cath, another great video! Maybe the pink cami under something (a cardigan?) vs over something? That way, it's really an accent color that's not the star of the show (if it makes you feel washed out colorwise). It's very pretty.

Maybe remove the collar off the bakerloo shirt? It’s really a beautiful fabric! 🤩

I've just bought some Cosy Colours but wasn't sure what to make with it. I am thinking a cardigan as I didn't think it had enough stretch widthways for a Southbank. I made a different sweater a while ago with some fleecy fabric with very little stretch and I can hardly get it over my head!

Styling your Ogden Cami for winter is a great idea. Sally of Secret Life of a Seamstress uses hers like that all the time. So you can see quite a few examples of how she styles it if you check out her videos. But otherwise, just overdye it with a colour you like better.

With your pink camio,why not try it as you suggest first.Then if you don't like it or it wears use the beautiful fabric to make something for your daughter. With your navy check before you donate it why not take out the sleeves to give more freedom.You could even lengthen the armhole for more room.If that doesn't suit because of the waistline why not unpick the waist.Then either make an elasticated waist or if you need more length buy some fab glitter elastic to use as a waist band.Hem the top and you have a two piece to wear.

This is the first Bestie Bag I've seen with the foam interfacing used to show off the banana shape and I really like how it showcases the simple, functional design. It turned out fantastic. I haven't made the Jalie Eleanore pants but I have made their jeans and while the directions appear mixed in with pattern pieces to save paper, they are not difficult to follow. If you trace the pattern, you'll get great value making pants for your daughter as she grows and yourself. The pocket hack for your hubby's sleep shorts looks excellent. I must remember that for the next ones I make for my adult crew. I make Christmas pj's about every third year. Glad you decided to try a refashion of the blouse. You love the fabric so much, it will be worth the effort. You can try wearing the camp over a close fitting Tee or under a pretty cardigan where it peeks out at the front would be lovely too. I am headed to my local fabric shop this morning to pick up some fleece on sale. My daughter is keen for me to copy an RTW pair of dungarees made in slightly stretchy polar fleece. She thinks she'll live in them in the deep dark winter. Happy sewing!

Hi Cath. Enjoyed hearing what you've been up to. That fabric for your hubby really caught my eye! Love big, funtional pockets too 😁 For your pink cami, it immediately made me think of a nightie I used to have. Would the Ogden work as sleepwear in summer? If not, I think salvaging the precious fabric would be lovely (even for something like an eyemask or jewellery pouch). Good luck making a decision on it!

Hi Cath, I’ve made quite a few Bakerloo blouses….but I’ve always made the collar much smaller and no issues with it being flappy 😂, I love how we can adapt patterns to suit our own style.

Just remove that enormous collar and you’ll probably wear the blouse.

I would just cut the collar off and bias bind it.

I totally agree with you re saving that gorgeous fabric of the Bakerloo blouse. Ogden Cami already suggested is a good idea, or perhaps an Ashton Top. You could add a centre seam to the back, as the print doesn’t need to be matched. I definitely wouldn’t let any liberty fabric go!
