Excellent project choice too, a quilted book cover is not something “everyone” is doing. My daughter and I are both members of Book of the Month club and most of their books are the same size, so I’m going to make covers for us to use. It will be great to help keep the books clean for those late night reads while snacking!😆 I’ve never tried hand quilting either, but I’m going to try it now. I’ve subscribed to your channel and look forward to seeing your future tutorials! ❤

Miriam, your channel just showed up in my feed and oddly enough I have been wanting to make some fabric covers for a Journal, what are the odds. Firstly I was impressed with your age and your confidence. I was seconds away from messaging you about making a fabric tab for your zipper when you did just that. Is their any reason why you didn't quilt through the back of your book cover? If I were you I would have cut your zipper tail a little shorter than you would not need to pin it. Hi, Tracy! 👋 thank you so much! I didn’t quilt through the inside of the cover since I wasn’t using binding to conceal the raw edges. And you’re so right about the zipper tail! I actually put it up into the cover under my planner so it’s completely conceal now 👏🏻🤓 thank you so much for watching!

Please make your stitches much smaller.
But I like the big stitches! 🥰
I think the bigger stitches look good on this project.
