I am in love with this machine… such a stable, power on demand and comfortable machine it is. As the company says its build for All roads and absolutely for no roads.. recent news of tubeless rims is a cherry on the cake, they have taken the final step to make it perfect ❤
Still remember watching Changthang through Gaurav Jani's eyes. What an amazing video that was, and it has been on my bucket list for a while. Hopefully soon...
Heard RE started providing tubeless spoke wheels on Himalayan 450 for ₹12,500 something what are your thoughts on upgrading from a current owner point of view
I have one doubt. The showroom guy said i should get a tubed version then by upgrading it to tubeless rims. I get to have tubed rims for about 1500Rs.+tax. But my doubt is that the offer is only for existing owners right? Or for upcoming owners too???
Good one CK and Bosky. Indeed very likely someone dropped/rode the bike in deep water for the fan blades to shear like that. Some SUVs have a clutch fan just to address this particular situation. Belt driven, so obviously not feasible on a bike. The electric fan does everything else better.
Hi Sir, Big fan, thanks for all the informative videos. I have 411 (2019), mainly for city use and weekend short rides around Bangalore. I intend to start long rides and maybe ride to north, leh ladhak and all in future. Am i missing big on 450, or 411 would suffice. Thank you.
Sir, I love your videos and the lovely banter you share. I have also booked the Himalayan 450 for long touring and I aspire to become a good rider and evolve my riding skills. Having said that I am new to the geared bikes but I do practice on borrowed and rented bikes to up my riding skills. I just have one concern regarding the H450s breaking in period. I came across some videos on youtube which mentioned that during H450s breaking in period for the first 500 kms we must keep the rpm range between 2500 to 4000 rpms with occasional 4500 bursts. Although I am too careful with my belongings and want to drive my vehicle properly all the time and not just during the break-in period, I am just a little more concerned about what if occasionally the rpms drop below 25k or rise above 40k (but not red lining) while shifting the gears or while tackling some on-road challenges? Will it damage the engine or affect its lifespan? I saw one of your old videos where you mentioned that with the modern engines we need not worry so much about the breaking in period. Could you please help me resolve this concern.
Thank you. Always remember to enjoy your ride. Don't stress about the rpm. Build up speed and confidence gently. Don't worry about random high revs or low revs. I never bother to run in. I just ride free.

@@bigbearbangalore Too many questions, Sorry. I just went through the Video of AutoEngina. I understand they have made a weaker zone whcih they call as crumple zone which bends as the crash happens. I also see that they recommned having it installed at bigbearCustoms. Can u please make a video on this as whats the impact it can take? I'm having my bike delivered in next 10days as it is customised to Tubeless spoke wheel. You reply or review on this helps me in chosing OEM/Autoengina crash guard.
I haven't tested the guard. It's on my H450 and it fits well and that's all I can say for now. It's your choice whether to go for OEM guards which are actually well made abd quite good or for AutoEngina.
Can you have someone who's around 5'6" or 5'7" to test the bike wrt the seat height and weight. The short test rides at showrooms and lack of rental options is not allowing me to guage the same properly. Im looking at parking scenarios on slopes, offroads with ruts etc. The bike will be mostly used for commuting and weekend rides with mild trails(nothit extreme) and 2 long tours in a year. I am considering the duke390 which is a great high speed commuter/city bike and also does touring and mild trails decently well due to its suspension and ground clearance. Mu other option is the 450 after the recent spoke wheel announcement, which is a bike with more capabilities in terms of offroads and better pillion/luggage space.
